[Fairy Tale Dreamer]

Sammy was shaking a little. "I really do not like cemetaries they just being painful memories back." She said to him as she tried to relax the best she could. But memories of her parents coffins being lowered into the ground and trying to run to them as it happen while she cried. "I can't get near one let alone go in one." She said to him as she hugged herself. "Sorry for just running off like that I just couldnt take it anymore."

Andre placed a firm hand on her shoulder, rubbing slightly. "I'm sorry for doing that," he said quietly. "I... I should have taken a different route. Maybe past the park, or maybe--"

"Its ok Andre really I never told yous that I hated cemetaries its just." Sammy let out a deep sigh. "When I was five I had to watch my parents being burried after they died it was not really settling with me back then my own grandmotehr slapped me for trying to jump on my mothers coffin begging them to not burry my parents." She said and remembered how her grandfather picked her up and hugged her tight as she kept crying back then. "So I have always hated cemetaries I hae even visied my parents grave in about 11-12 years."

"I see," Andre said quietly. He got his pole ready. "You're my age, right? You shouldn't touch a pole until you get a license. But I can show you." He took the sandwiches out. "Hungry?"

Sammy listen to him say how she needed a licenes to fish so all she could do was watch. "Alright I will try to get one but I am glad I cna watch at least." She said as she watched him take a sandwhich out and she shook her head. "No thank you I am not that hungry right now." She siad as she looked at him. "Um Andre please don't tell anyone my parents were dead I got kicked out of my last school because I got into a fight with a kid who would not stop calling me orphane." She said for she does not want a repeat of that.

"Your secret's safe with me, Sammy," said Andre. He got a twister grub on a hook and speared a small piece of ham on the hook. "The smell, sight, and movement attracts fish of many types-- fish that use smell and taste, fish that use sight, and fish that use smell and touch. The basic lure is a worm on a hook, but this gets better results."

Sammy was glad to hear that Andre would not tell anyone her secret and watched him bait his lure. "Wow I did not know first were like that I just thought people threw their bait in the water adn the first get hungry enough and just bite at it." She said for she never heard that differnt things can lure fish over and it really interested her by a lot. "Wow this is actually really cool and fun I am so going to try to get my fishing licenes and try this out for myself." Sammy said with a smile on her face and was glad she was doing something differnt for once,

Andre smiled, cast his line, and began reeling in slowly. "That's how you start," he said. "'Round here, that attracts panfish and catfish. The real thrill are the predator fish, like walleyes and Northerns."

"This is so cool I can;t wait to see what you might catch." Sammy said excited but also knowing that finsihing was a waiting/patients game. "Hey Andre what do you do while you wite to get a bite from a fish." She said as she laid in the grass and lookat ed the sky. "Knowing me I would climb that tree right there." SHe siad as she pointed at the tree she was talking about. "Then again that could just be my active side talking right now I swear some times I just can't sit still like a normal person I must have restless leg syndrom." She said as she stretched a little.

Andre had a thought hit him: laying in the grass, Sammy looked very beautiful. He blushed, returning his focus to the fishing. "Why not go ahead and climb it?" he asked. "Not many people out here. Other people are at their friends' places."

Sammy laughed a little as she sat up and took her jacket off and went to the tree and started to climb up it with ease for she has done it a lot of times. She made it to the first big branch that she could sit on and she looked out to the side. "Wow Andre the veiw up here is amazing you should climb up and see for yourself." SHe said with a big smiled as she looked out at the lake and the nature around for it felt really peaceful.

Andre got a strike. He jerked the pole up, reeled it in and produced an eight-inch walleye.



"And that's how it's done," he said proudly, displaying the fish for Sammy to see.

Sammy laughed when she saw that fish. "Now that is totoaly awesome." She siad with a smile as she fell backwards and was hanging on the tree with her legs as she looked at Andre while she was upside down. "So what kind of fish is that?" She asked for she has never seen fish before taht was not already cut up and cooked.

"The Minnesota state fish, the walleye," said Andre. He slipped his thumb and index fingers into the gills; if he held it another way, it could bite him or flop away. "They put up a good fight, and they taste good." He examined the fish, took the hook out. "He's too big though. Besides, I always catch and release."

"Wow that is so coll Man Andre you are the coolest." She siad with a smile and laughed but soon fell out of the tree. "OW stupid me I fell out again well at least I did not break a bone this time." SHe said as she fliped back up after shaking her head. She then walked over to Andre and sa next to him. "But I still think its awesome that you know how to fish."

Andre had never seen someone so enthusiastic about a mere fish. "It's nothing, really," he said. "It just comes from years of experience." He dipped his feet into the water and held the fish under the water, gently fanning fresh water into its mouth. The walleye swam away slowly, either recovering or wishing to give Sammy a good look.

Sammy watched the fish swim away and was just amazed by it a lot. "Wow it is so cool." She siad with a smile. "I have always seen goldfish but it is so cool to see differnet kinds of fish you don't see everyday." She said with a smile on her face. "This is so cool thanks for letting me come with you Andre I am really having fun learning about fishing and seeing differnt kinds of fish."

"You okay after that fall though?" Andre asked, a twinge of concern in his voice. "I'd have probably just sat there trying to get my breath back." He chuckled. "But that's the difference between us, I suppose."

"But I have fallen out of a tre about...." Sammy stopped and started to cound on her fingers how many times she has fallen out. "I have brobably fallen out over 60 times over the years so it doesn't really knock the wind out of me anymore." She said as if it was nothing. "Though grandmother yelled at me a lot for always being adventurase then again I take after my father more form what grandfather says."

Andre nodded as he cast the lure out again. "I dislike your grandma the more I hear about her," he said. "No offense."
