Alright, the GM post happens today. If you have unfinished business, either take care of it today, in your next post, or move along.
There were only two responses from the crew on what planet we should choose: Sep highlighted the first system, Foster the last. My character ignored the message, Kessa's was told to have Ellri's send an analysis, Ellri's did an analysis but gave no comment as to which of the four were preferred. So: unless this changes, I'll flip a coin.
The next GM post will consist of details of the system to which we jump and some details about the interior of the ship. The extra-star system scan will come in towards the end of our excursion into the next system and will serve more or less as a warning that we will be moving on to the next phase.
Travel between star systems will never be more than 18-ish hours, but that detail will also be included with the initial system GM post for the sake of clarity.

we're making progress on that model, Jorj.
We've gotten the framework for the decks worked out now. Now all it needs it division into rooms rather than open areas.
Not really sure how that would work, so we're including a couple of images here, one with the deck shapes and dimensions.
We imagine that most of those decks would be occupied by the automated systems of the ship. perhaps two-three decks at most used by the crew.
The entire rear half of the ship is used by engine systems and other automated things.
Anyways, from the top:
Deck 01: 115x24m = 2760m²
Deck 02: 115x46m = 5290m²
Deck 03: 115x50m = 5750m²
Deck 04: 115x50m = 5750m² (has airlocks)
Deck 05: 115x50m = 5750m² (has airlocks)
Deck 06: 60x50m = 3000m²
Deck 07: 60x50m = 3000m²
Deck 08: 60x45m - 15x30m = 2250m² (has cutout on bow end)
Deck 09: 35x20m = 700m²
Deck 10: 30x10m = 300m²
Deck 11: 30x10m = 300m²
Deck 12: 13x30m = 390m²
If anyone has suggestions for how they should be divided up, it'd be much appreciated.

Looking good so far Ellri. I'm taking a big test tomorrow so I won't be of much use until I finish it. Hopefully I'll have more time to put into this Wednesday afternoon or evening.

Going on the images we posted... We imagine that there'll be no more than two-three decks accessible normally.
Oh, and if you want to shrink the ship further to make it easier to use more decks without having minimal chance of encounters, please say so. It'll take some tweaking for the decks, but not too much. By the way, we'd love if someone could come up with a general idea for what should be where on what decks, as we're fairly stumped for ideas.

We get the feeling this RP is essentially dead. The lack of interaction was caught too late. We feel like we've lost the spark for it. Morven is a character with some potential, but we can't see now how to put it to use here. Without that spark, we don't think we can make this character worth continuing here.

It's not dead. >_> It's slow paced on purpose for the sake of folks being involved in other things. Two-thirds of the crew was gone for OOC reasons last week. Namely, me and Jorj were hanging out in person and I was sick when he was here, too. The lack of interaction is due to characters that purposefully seek isolation rather than trying to interact with the given characters. Morven is a neat character and I'll be sad to see her go, but thanks for your honesty. No muse means no posting and it's better not to force these things. <3
PS - I would post, but given that my character has been in practically every other post I figured I'd give others a chance to respond rather than taking the lead so much that I push the story and characters too fast.

We've been unable to find anything worth posting about with Morven. Being busy in RL is understandable. We just can't feel right continuing while we have nothing we feel is worth writing. It might be that we should have coordinated more on the ship layout earlier. Planned things out more so that interaction could be certain. For that matter, deciding on the rough size of the actual ship would have helped a lot.
We like Morven and might try to find a place to use her later. She's got potential if we find the right scene.

Have heard nothing from Foster and Kessa is literally waiting on Foster to post.
I put this rp up explicitly stating that character interaction would be essential in driving it forward. If any feeling of momentum has been lost, it is not on the function of the rp but on the characters themselves. I am more than happy to continue writing from my character's perspective and absolutely intend to do so. Isolationists are probably a common element in this type of situation (IC-wise that is). It is up to the imagination of the writer for any upkeep in that department.
Any apparent death to this scenario is superfluous as I will continue writing and perfecting as I see fit. If your character wishes to be shut in their room for god-knows-how-long, then that is your choice as a writer, though it is unappreciated to the growth of all of us as a cohort.

Foster said that he'd been waiting in the irc for something, but I was there most of last weekend and never caught him. I'll be back at my place, working with my Internet tonight. I've invited Architect into the rp. If Foster doesn't get back to me either here, in the irc, or in pm I'll assume that my charrie couldn't find her and he'll send on the comms package before sending his thoughts on the planet he'd like to check out.
