Viral let out a groan, still not feeling completely convinced over Vegeta’s ability to make him feel better. He was going to be struggling to get the work done quickly while sleep deprived and that was never going to be a good experience to have to go through. He was supposed to be keeping healthy while working on this problem, making it easy for Viral to have that tiny bit of doubt that something might go wrong. “He doesn’t work endlessly with barely any sleep to make those go well, but with this he’s barely taking a break. I can’t feel confident in his ability to get this completely correct if he doesn’t take my advice…even if sleep for me is not something I’m very good at myself…” It was pretty hard to say that he didn’t completely trust Vegeta with his work, he was too stubborn to take advice completely so of course he was going to end up not sleeping when he was supposed to. It made him wonder if everything was going to go as planned or Vegeta was going to look something over and it’ll end up costing him. Staring at her as she spoke about the time he slowly looked away, not feeling too confident. “I cannot do that. Everytime I see one I still don’t know how much time has passed. It’s constant and almost endless. I can’t keep track of time like this”. It wasn’t that he was trying, just even when he closed his eyes and looked at it some time had passed, but how much time was not something he always knew. “I’m not going to stoop so lowly as to stop fighting for my life. I could’ve ended it long ago, but I’m not that pathetic…”

Shu and T’charrl had been only partially occupied in the room with Shu being the most occupied, at least until Takeshi walked in. They were both pretty quiet with Shu attempting to groom his friend’s arm, T’charrl watching in quiet fascination right up until Takeshi entered the room with all that fruit in hand, curious to why he took a little longer than just a quiet walk to the kitchen and back. Watching him curiously as Shu decided to bounce up in fascination to the sight of the fruit he gave a little smile before looking down again, nodding, “That is kind of you”. He wasn’t hugely hungry but he could do with some fruit, even if Takeshi had managed to squash some against himself. Reaching over and grabbing the packet of cherries he stared at it curiously before his eyes went to Takeshi, tilting his head slightly and making a glance to the door, “Is that where you went? That is…pretty good”, he spoke, finding it hard to pick the right words. He wasn’t sure if Takeshi’s friend had been having problems for a long time or just recently, the impact of it all not being all that large, “Umm you know, I could have done sword training with you if you wanted while he was unwell. Your friend does seem to like fighting, I think…I mean, I haven’t seen it much. I only had to heal him from a bad injury on my home planet. Does he fight often? His spirit is very strong, very strange”.

"He sleeps though, I think... I mean he says he does and I don't see why he'd lie. Granted too it might only be for a few hours but that's still better than nothing," Yumi said, "The way I see it regardless of what he comes out with your condition is going to improve, that's a given. Even if he doesn't solve everything this time around you'll get better, and any improvement is good." Vegeta was sort of hyping up his own work, saying how he'd have Viral healed within a few weeks now. That was a tall order to fill and she didn't doubt he believed he could accomplish it. Who knew what the reality of this situation was, no one would until they got to that point. It was easier for her to be optimistic and hope for the best until then, for her sake and for Viral's. The Beastman might be in slightly better spirits if he could actually sleep which, as he so poignantly said he wasn't so good at. Goodness knows she became cranky whenever she went without a good nap for long. "Well we can help you keep track then, if that will help. We could be totally wrong at guessing what time it is too since we're going off of clocks set on Earth, but it sort of helps keep a schedule together. I definitely can't see it hurting." Plus, knowing the time and what day it was could help Viral get a perspective on how close he was to getting help at last. "I know you won't give up, that's why I'm not either. And I'm going to make sure no matter what you don't change your mind on that."

It was nice, doing this for Shu and T'charrl. Even if it wasn't a whole lot of fruit it was a little something for them to snack on, and they both looked to appreciate it. Good thing too because otherwise getting covered in mango would have been all for naught, excluding the fact that was his own fault to begin with. Takeshi went ahead and took a seat alongside the wall by the bed, grabbing his soiled shirt and laying it out beside him. Over the whole being squirted with fruit juice pretty quick with the mention of Viral he smiled at the others, happy to have something to share for a change. He was excited too about getting back to sword training, something he'd still been wanting to do for a while. Nodding his head in agreement the Saiyan looked over at T'charrl, smiling apologetically as he itched at his nose. "I suppose you could, huh? I just figured you've got a lot going on and couldn't be bothered, that's all. If you're willing to teach me though then hey, I'm all for it." Hopefully Viral wasn't going to be offended if he went elsewhere, though the Beastman seemed reluctant to be teaching in the first place, so maybe it wouldn't be a huge issue. "Viral fights a lot, he's basically been fighting ever since we met him. Hell, that's how we met him. He always tries to fight and can get really pissed when he can't, which you've seen. I really want him to get well again, it's kind of awesome watching him fight, you know? Someone without any sort of Ki tearing it up on the battlefield, it's cool."

Viral growled lowly, looking away, “That is not enough. Humans need more sleep than a few hours and he is mostly Human. I would rather he was refreshed than anything”. While it was said that his condition would improve, hearing that he was going to end up greatly weakened after made him worry the most. He didn’t know what to feel about that when he knew he was going to be weakened to such a massive extent, whether his body could handle it or he was going to end up in an even worse state than before. “I just can’t understand how I’ll be dragged to my lowest point after it all. He says I’m going to struggle with the most mundane tasks and just…how will I lose so much? What is he going to do to me to have me end up like that…” He didn’t like the thought of losing everything like that, even track of time. He needed to know when he was going to recover and how long it was going to take to get to the planet so their ability to keep track of time would probably help a great deal. He was not going to keep it together mentally much longer if he couldn’t keep track of his wait time until he was better, knowing the treatment was going to be the hardest part of all. “I would have to sooner lose my mind and…I’ve come close many times. To be able to fight again would certainly settle my mind somewhat and time would never be an issue”.

T’charrl wasn’t quite understanding how he was supposed to get these fruits out of the bag, finding it odd and pretty foreign. He didn’t see it much on Takeshi’s planet so knowing how to deal with it was certainly difficult. Analysing it wasn’t getting him anywhere, so his only real method to open it up was to try and pull it apart. Taking it in his claws he tried to carefully tear it open, finding it oddly difficult to get to the fruit before finally managing, nearly dropping the cherries all over the floor. Catching it in a little panic he sighed, taking a cherry and giving it a sniff before looking back to Takeshi. “Well uhh, doesn’t mean I can’t tell you how to move and if you’re doing things right. I don’t need to attack you back to train you”, he spoke, looking back to the cherry, “Sparring is pretty high up on practice. Father started doing that to me early so I could see what I would have to go through at any time of the day if an attack was to happen…but, umm, you don’t need to use a weapon”. Despite travelling with the Beastman he didn’t know much about him or why he was so different from the others, pretty notably so. The guy was pretty tall and had strange arms and big sharp teeth, kind of the complete opposite to his friends when theirs were so little and thin in the arms themselves. Listening to Takeshi gave him a little idea to what he was like, finding it interesting that he sounded so fierce and proud despite how he acted around the ship. “No Ki is umm, cool? How strange. It’s pretty normal in my eyes”, he spoke, eating the cherry, “…You uhh, sound like you respect him. You must be good friends. That sounds nice. Is that why you like lessons from him? Because you really like him?”

"He did say you were going to be a bit weaker, but hey, I'm sure he's got a plan in place! He doesn't just go into things blindly after all, right? Vegeta has something in mind to help you, I'm sure of it!" Far as Yumi understood the only thing Viral was going to struggle with was raw physical strength, the rest she assumed would be alright. His emotional state, his mental state, all of that would probably be fixed once the treatment was finished. Then it was just a matter of doing some training to build that muscle back up and he would be good as new. At least she figured it was that simple, she couldn't imagine anything more than that needing to be done. "You'll be up and fighting soon enough, I think we can safely say that now. And think about it too, it's not as though we'll be fighting anyone on Kaesstra. So if you get your rehab done while we're down there you won't miss out on any fights or anything. By the time you're all healthy and ready to go we'll be back in the thick of things!" Fighting who knows who at that point, if this weird situation with the war kept going they could be battling a new enemy. They still hadn't talked to the rebels about what was going on either, that was something they probably ought to look into soon. Even if they were enjoying some time off Yumi figured they wouldn't want to be lazing around when something bad was happening, they should be helping if they could.

Takeshi watched with a hint of amusement as T'charrl tried to wrestle open the bag of cherries. He really should be a good guy and tell his friend how to do it, but he didn't want to ruin the brief show he got. Wincing inwardly seeing the cherries drop all over the floor he smiled apologetically, "Be sure to mind the seeds in those. They're big and you really don't want to eat them. Oh, plus the juice is probably going to stain your claws a bit, just saying." Tasty fruits but very messy. Good thing the Kaesstrian hadn't gone for the pomegranate yet, the poor guy would probably be beside himself trying to figure out how to eat that. Glancing at Shu for a brief moment he cocked his head to the side, a bit surprised by what T'charrl had to say about his training. "Really...? I figured sparring was how you learned, weird. But if that's how you say I should learn then I'll at least try it, as long as you're willing to teach me. I really do want to learn how to use it." Granted with the opponents they were probably going to be facing it was hard to say how practical a sword would be in combat. It was like bringing a knife to a gunfight, only the knife was two feet long and the guns were Ki blasts. Having the topic change to Viral left Takeshi with a bit of mixed feelings, it was hard to talk about the Beastman like this. On one hand he saw the older fighter as a rival even if Viral didn't in turn, and on the other he was kind of just there. "I mean... Think about who we're fighting, everyone uses Ki. So it's cool to see someone without Ki be so strong. Probably why so many of those creeps on Kortal were afraid of him," he explained, nodding his head. T'charrl's questions made the Saiyan's face turn a light shade of pink, looking up at the Kaesstrian conflicted. "I don't really like him! I mean I do, but not like... Like-like. Because that would be weird! And I guess I respect him, I mean I know he's a good fighter and all, so there's that. And uh... He can be kind of cool too, you know? But don't tell him I said that!"

Viral was always going to have a problem with being weaker than he already was, seeing how he already was pretty weak when compared to the rest. He couldn’t handle being seen as weak and already he was completely brittle compared to everyone else. If he couldn’t move by the end of this treatment then he was going to be completely broken with no use for him any longer. It wouldn’t be worth it in the end, his mind would be completely destroyed by how much he had fallen from what he once was. He used to be the strongest out of all of them, now he was the weakest of them all. He wanted to be strong again and felt like he’d do anything for it at this point, even if it was desperate. “We were supposed to do a lot instead of this…we were supposed to be able to fight the King. I shouldn’t need rehab. I should just get on with it!” he spoke up suddenly, not something he was entirely positive about, “Rehab…it’s battling that makes you stronger! Everything shouldn’t stop just because I’m like…this. They wanted us to do this quickly and we should do it quickly! Get some reinforcements…fight the King! If I am a danger like this then shouldn’t I be a suitable weapon? I don’t get it…”

T’charrl couldn’t really understand these fruits of Earth, finding them to be most unusual but even eating one was pretty interesting. Looking up to Takeshi he frowned a little, finding the warning about the seed to be most unusual, “No? Okay”, he spoke, unrolling his tongue and grabbing the seed from in his mouth, pulling it out. The seed was pretty clean considering it had just been chewed at and fair picked clean, T’charrl taking it from his tongue and taking other cherry. “Well, if you want to be fast, but I don’t think it’s a good way to start. You’ve got to find the sword and make it part of you, listen to it”, he spoke calmly, looking at his claws to check for stains, “If you are sure your friend won’t mind me showing you, then I will”. He didn’t know much about Takeshi’s other friends, they never really interacted with him apart from look at him sometimes. Hearing Takeshi speak of his friend made him smile, finding it quite nice for him to be saying such things as if through admirance. “Afraid of him? That is quite a lot of fear”, he spoke, giving a glance to the door before making a grab for a cherry, taking out the other seed he had, “It must be something to see him in battle. I have yet to see it”. Hearing Takeshi fumble over his words was pretty funny, finding it amusing that he saw so much in the man. It was strange really, to see Takeshi get all caught up over talking about his friend. “Weird? Respect him, hmm…you mean like…how I respect my father?” he asked in a teasing tone, glancing over at Shu who was busy with the softer fruit, “I won’t tell. Maybe Shu won’t tell either, I don’t know. Cool…huh? Would you ever tell him that? Maybe it will make him happy”.

This had to be hard, falling from grace like this. Especially to someone like Viral who power meant everything. Yumi could perfectly understand why he was so upset and down on himself, that wasn't in question. Nor was why he couldn't be a bit more optimistic, there were so many obstacles blocking whatever little light there may be. Just because he couldn't look on the bright side didn't mean she couldn't, and she would try to be optimistic for the both of them. Things would work out, they had to, it would just be wrong if Viral was slighted yet again. He was owed this, he needed to be healthy again so he could battle. Perhaps Vegeta felt the same way, maybe that was why he was working so diligently on helping. Sure, there was his ethic, and his personal drive to succeed, those had to be spurring their friend along. But she'd noticed something while they were speaking, a look that Vegeta kept giving Viral. She couldn't describe it as anything less than sympathy and a yearning to help, and that maybe was the biggest factor in this work. This was going to work out all right in the end, they were going to make damn sure of that. "Nothing is stopping Viral, we're not doing anything right now, remember? The rebels are busy and they'll contact us when they need us again, that was the deal. So we're not on a schedule now." Stopping as they were walking Yumi clenched her fists, turning around and staring up at Viral intently. "Don't call yourself a weapon, just stop it. I'm sick of you thinking you're just some object or tool," she mumbled, shaking her head in frustration, "You're a person, just like me, or Vegeta, or Shu or Takeshi or anyone else. Just because you're a Beastman doesn't change that. We're not going to throw you at anyone until we take care of you, and that's final."

There was that whole being a part of your sword, Viral had said that too. No matter how many times he heard it Takeshi just had trouble imagining that sort of thing, having a weapon being an extension of yourself. Maybe that was why he had so much trouble with it, he couldn't imagine it as much else other than what it was, just a sword. "Listen to my sword, huh...?" he mumbled, frowning as he looked at the floor. He would try it, whatever it took to learn, but damn if he wasn't confused about all of this. If all the people who used swords were saying the same kind of stuff then it had to be true and he really needed to work on it, that would be his training. Swinging around a sharp piece of metal was easy, Shu could do that, it had to be the whole being one with the blade that was holding him back. Giving T'charrl a sharp look when he teased the Saiyan, Takeshi smiled slightly and rolled his eyes, "Not exactly... I mean Viral's not my dad. I know who my dad is, and he's an ass. I guess he's kind of like... I don't know, an older brother? I never had one really but I think he'd be what I'd want mine to be like. He's a pain, but he forces me to fight at my best." Not a ton of people could get him to do that anymore, even most of their opponents. Any time he was fighting alongside or around the Beastman he wanted to try and appear as powerful as could be, almost as if to try one-upping the other guy. Right now that would be no problem given Viral's state, but that was a hollow victory. He needed to get better, then they could see who was stronger. "Tch... Tell Viral any of this? He'd probably get all mad or blow me off," Takeshi remarked, smirking slightly. Making a face he showed his teeth, swiping at the air invisibly like he had paws, "Takeshi, you idiot. Stop being all sappy, it's disgusting!" he added, doing an awful impression of Viral's voice, "Something like that, you know?"

Viral was not seeing himself in a fairly grand light, trying hard to see the darkest spots of his future first. He was looking to the shadows for anything that might make him feel better, all of which typically involved fighting for his life even if he didn’t have a chance in hell. He didn’t have a lot going for him right now, there was nothing other than this problem he had to focus on so any relief from it was definitely only coming from the thought of battling out of the pain. He didn’t see how anybody could be calm about this with the sheer thought that maybe telling him things will get better meant they actually will be. He was going to be horribly weakened after this and possibly never catch up to the others and that thought just made him sick and wishing for battle even if it would never come. “Who cares if they’re busy? The King’s front lines are defenceless as his men go to fight off whatever the rebels are also fighting! I could just take down the palace myself like this…” He could just take everyone out right now just by throwing himself in there, but when Yumi stopped she didn’t look too happy about that thought at all. Staring at her at first he slowly looked away again, growling lowly in frustration at her fuss over his words. Shaking his head he turned away from her, folding his arms, “I shouldn’t need all of this care…I shouldn’t. Even if you don’t like it, I can’t see myself doing something any different other than fighting. I am getting better so I can fight again! What makes someone a person? I don’t see how I will be considered different than any other creation before me, all those androids that are essentially my predecessors”.

T’charrl was particularly good with weapons, especially the handheld variety. He wasn’t what some people would consider a master, that was his father to decide whether he was or not, but he still could kill a few soldiers in his time even if he was considered weak compared to others of his kind. If they saw him now they’d never say that again, but of course he didn’t want them to see him like this or like anything else that was considered a monster. Takeshi was already weirded out by him so showing off his world what he was like certainly made him worry that there would be a full-blown hunt to kill him. Looking to Takeshi he gave a little nod, contemplating over the seeds he had in his claws. “If you don’t trust your weapon it will break, but if you push it the weapon will break anyway. If you can care for it as much as you would care for your own limb then it will protect you until it can no longer. It’s not going to be there all the time, but longer than it might if you refused to listen to it when it says ‘no more’”. It wasn’t a tough concept, but it was hard to explain. He couldn’t let a weapon like that go to waste.

T’charrl found it odd how flustered Takeshi was getting over his friend like this, but it was still funny. He really did seem to admire his friend but also tried to deny it as if it was a negative thing to do, something he found very strange. “Older brother? So you see him as family? Does he have family that you feel a part of too?” he asked up, giving his cheek a scratch, “I didn’t see anybody like him, though”. Takeshi without the motivation to fight must had been a pretty lazy one, seeing as how he’s always fighting for something. Even on this journey Takeshi was aiming to go into battle and fight for something, something maybe he wouldn’t want to do if he knew someone else could do the fighting for him. Staring at Takeshi, grinning a little when he attempted to imitate his friend, shifting his feet, “Something like that? I don’t think that is very fair to say he is like that. I hope you don’t make fun of me like that when I’m not around…”

"You can't go and fight the King singlehandedly though, none of us can. That's the whole reason we're gathering support for the rebels is so we all can go fight as a group. If one person could beat him do you think Korian would have spent so much time plodding around like he has? Or if that was the case why not just send us all in? After all we're stronger than they are." It was all about revenge, Yumi surmised, and Viral wasn't the only one that wanted it. She acknowledged though that if they were going to get back at the Saiyans then it had to be with some support, otherwise it was just a suicide run. She didn't like the idea of any one of them going in alone, it wouldn't work. The Beastman wasn't picking his words very carefully with how he was upsetting Yumi, enough so to the point she stopped and turned on him. No way was she going to let him talk like he was just a weapon, that was ridiculous! "You can be a warrior and still have people care for you! All of Earth's warriors before us did, I don't get why you think these two things have to be exclusive. You've got people all around you who care about you, and all you can do is turn us away and say we're mad for even considering caring!" She was getting all kinds of flustered over all of this, she absolutely hated when Viral demeaned himself. He was better than anything he said but wouldn't accept that as the truth, he had to be bad in his own eyes. "Even the androids were people, we consider them people. I don't understand... We're trying to include you, to count you among everyone else. So you're different, that's not bad, and it doesn't mean you're not one of us. Why can't you just accept that?"

Takeshi gave small nods of his head as T'charrl spoke, making an earnest attempt to drink in what was being said and commit it to memory. So essentially you had to care for the weapon for it to be useful, and then there was the whole extension of oneself bit too. Okay, that sort of cleared up the extra limb analogy, but it didn't guarantee he'd get it still. Having that in mind was easy enough, it was hard to actually imagine it as such and use it like he might an arm. It would come with time, he figured, and plenty of effort to get there. It wouldn't be unlike his learning Ki from his master all those years ago, it would just require patience. It was easier to understand the concepts of weaponry than it was to explain his stance on Viral, something that had Takeshi tripping over himself in an attempt to share. "Well... You could say Yumi and Vegeta are his family, but not me or Shu... I mean I guess he's kind of like family? We've known him for a long time, and I sort of consider all my friends family, so yeah. But... I don't know, it's complicated," he mumbled, pulling his legs up and laying his head on his knees with a groan. How the heck was he supposed to say anything without T'charrl turning it back on him? Sure he respected Viral and thought of him as more than just someone he fought with, but the Kaesstrian made it sound like they were as close as he was with Shu almost. Throwing out a mock attempt at personifying Viral the Saiyan smiled slightly amused, sticking out his tongue childishly at T'charrl, "As if I'd tell you if I did or not," Takeshi joked, waving a hand dismissively, "Nah, I don't. I guess the easiest way to put this is I respect the guy, and I want him to get better because it's awesome fighting with him, you know? It's kind of like a rivalry thing, I guess."

Viral thought near to nothing of group fighting, finding it all to be the sure-fire way that he was going to never be able to fight. They would all end up fighting in the air and using Ki all over the place while he would be left on the ground wondering why he wasn’t able to fight when everything so far mattered on this. He couldn’t battle like the others and he knew that, meaning all he could do was hang around and hope for someone to drop so he could maul them or something. It wasn’t something he wanted to do, his mind unable to comprehend that he wouldn’t be able to hold his own against someone who could fly and use Ki. “Korian has no say in my ability to fight the King! Without his weapons that destroy my energy he has no chance against me! It’s the reason he had them made…he fears me! The coward…the same reason the RRA had those weapons…” He wasn’t acknowledging the fact he was making Yumi upset, he was too worked up over his differences and difficulties. It was hard to see passed anything else and he was growing even more frustrated each time, struggling to see through his own problems. “When I was made I was made with a purpose and if I can’t fulfil that purpose then what? I don’t understand how you can…how anyone can! Look at me! I can’t even protect myself nevermind protect you or anyone else! Abomination and freak and-…just makes me furious! It confuses me…you all confuse me with this!” he ranted, his hands going to his head, “I can’t do anything like this and it’s only going to get worse!”

T’charrl enjoyed swordplay when he could do it but now he had his own blades in his arms, something that confused him when it came to thinking about his future. He didn’t see much reason to use a sword if that was the case, but then again if they weren’t as strong as actual swords then it was definitely going to hurt if one of them broke. He knew they would recover eventually, but the thought made him uneasy. Maybe he got them because he had a great love for weapons, but who knew how this metamorphosis thing truly worked without consulting the Spirit. That part was a little more difficult, especially when the Spirit and his current consciousness couldn’t both be active. Looking to the other fruits he took one of the pomegranate as Shu chewed on the bananas, staring at it curiously before picking at its top. “I see. Strange family. How long? You all seem to know each other well, though. Uhh…what is this?” he asked, holding the pomegranate up, “Family but not family sounds pretty nice. But you are a strange family, yes? Uhhh, so like a big brother but not a brother. I don’t have any brothers or anything like that so it’s hard to know what it’s like, that’s all”. Takeshi making fun of Viral in such a manner was pretty silly and Takeshi knew it, smiling at his own reaction. He was certainly finding it funny, even if Takeshi’s own feelings towards his friend was confusing themselves. “Rivalry? I don’t know that word. What do you mean? If he doesn’t have Ki then how does he fight with you if you use Ki a lot? With those horns and tail he has now?”

Yumi was nearing the end of her rope trying to bring Viral back from all of this. He was refusing to see the reality of the situation, everything was against him in his mind. It was horrible seeing him this way, she didn't know how to help though she desperately wanted to. Maybe he should take the medicine now, that would calm him right? Then again that would mean they were using the pills as an easy way out, that wasn't right. "The RRA might be cowards, but you can't think the King is, can you? Look how many people obey him, do you think people follow someone who is a coward, or who is weak? I'm not saying this to defend him, but the King isn't someone we can take lightly! He could probably beat us all if he really wanted to, our only chance is to fight as a group!" They would never triumph alone, not against an opponent like this. They needed to band together and drive their way to the King, find a way to weaken his defenses and make him vulnerable. Then it would be all of their duty to fight him, as a single force, that was the only way. Looking at Viral wide eyed as he began to rave a bit Yumi's heart sank, backing down a little as she blinked back tears. This was what he'd had to deal with incessantly for over a year, this wasn't fair. Viral had been a bit moody before but never like this, never self-loathing like this. Hoping desperately to help she extended a hand, placing it on her shoulder and taking a deep breath. "It won't get worse... It's going to start improving, just you watch," Yumi reassured, managing to calm herself gradually, "Just... Please, don't think of yourself as a weapon, just don't. You're so much more than that."

"Let's see... We've known Viral for..." Takeshi began, lifting a hand and counting his fingers silently. "I guess it's about two years now, wow... Yeah, two years. Kind of hard to believe it's been that long, seems unreal. But yeah, I've known him, Yumi, Vegeta and Shu for two years now, and I consider them all to be my family." Looking up to see what T'charrl was asking about he smirked, secretly glad the Kaesstrian had finally gone for the pomegranate. But in good conscience he couldn't let his friend let the rind, funny though it may be. Instead the Saiyan got to his feet, grabbing the fruit from the Kaesstrian's hands carefully. "I've got Shu, so I kind of get what it's like to be a big brother and all, but I don't really know how to feel about having a big brother myself," Takeshi explained, breaking the pomegranate in half and offering one of them to his friend. "Pick out the seeds and suck the juice off. When you're done with it, uh..." he paused, glancing around and grabbing a small trash can, placing it in front of T'charrl, "Just toss them in there." While he had a bit of fruit he might as well enjoy some as well, it couldn't hurt. Digging out a single seed he popped it into his mouth, starting to suck at the juices. "Rivalry? That's like when two people compete against each other all the time. Even if Viral doesn't see me as a rival I see him as one. And damn if I won't make him to accept me as a rival someday." Spitting out the seed into the garbage Takeshi smiled a bit, wiping his mouth on the back of his hand. "Viral hits like a truck, he doesn't need Ki. Plus he can do all sorts of things, without the horns and tail. He didn't have those before and I've seen him kick tons of butt."

Viral couldn’t take it anymore, his mind feeling ready to explode into violence if it wasn’t appeased soon. The only way to relieve his pain was to fight and to do that he would need to go right to the source to finally claim solace. He couldn’t take it, he needed to find a way out of it, away from all this pain. “Nobody like me has ever fought a Saiyan! He knows I can defeat him, otherwise he never would had tried to suppress me and my power! He wanted me to never figure that out…” He couldn’t help but think that, he was in a lot of pain just trying to get through that thought process. Everything he had been told up to that point with this intense anger had him going over all the things that was said to him throughout every moment that made him hate his captors. He couldn’t take it, it was all too much for him. All those things he was called during his ordeal were all coming back to him pretty loudly, all in a way Yumi would never be able to hear as it called through his head. Struggling to find peace he held his head, trying to control the angry voices and the pain that came with it; however, as if out of the stormy night Yumi reached out to him, her voice breaking through the intense negativity briefly. “…How? Like what? There is nothing else...being called a person is nothing…”

T’charrl didn’t know how a lot of these fruits functioned and kind of hoped that Takeshi would teach him how to eat these when they weren’t very clear. The fruits on his home planet were sometimes tricky but were essentially straight forward too, the possibility that one would come across a difficult fruit being pretty slim. There were plenty of trees on his planet, even with the rise in surface cities as trees essentially grew everywhere so plants weren’t too worried about their soft fruit being stolen and taken elsewhere by animals. Giving Takeshi the pomegranate he smiled at him, feeling pretty calm with all this small talk. “It must be nice to have family like that. If I had friends maybe I could had something like that when I was growing up, but uhh…I-I’m sure you can understand why I didn’t have any”. It was very rare that a Kaesstrian of high class had siblings while some other families had many, always making him wonder why none of those many children never wanted to be friends with him even if he sometimes looked like he was talking to himself. Watching Takeshi split the fruit he stared at its strange bobbily innards, taking one half from him, smiling as he looked to the bin, “Thank you. What strange fruit…” Giving it a little poke at first he soon just stuck his tongue in amongst the strange innards, somewhat enjoying this little break even with Takeshi getting all excited over his friend. Looking up at him he gave a little smile, nodding. “That sounds interesting. I wonder if I have a rival”, he spoke, looking down at his half, “I did wonder about those parts he has now, I mean…I don’t remember him having that. Hits like a truck…? Uhh, is that hard? I wonder how he battles. I see he has a sword, but I haven’t seen him fight yet. Do you want to learn how to use a sword because of him? Because you like him a lot like rivalry?”

"The only reason he tried controlling you was because he knew you'd never follow him otherwise! Viral, it's not hard to see that he didn't want to just do away with you. You're strong, so strong that the King wanted you over most of his own soldiers! But that isn't the same as you being able to beat him. Think about how strong he must be, none of us can beat him, not yet. Not even you." The cold, hard reality of the situation was if they were to fight now they would be rolled over. Even with Shu and Viral transforming, even with T'charrl changing Yumi still believed they didn't have enough power. Defeating someone who commanded that large an army wasn't going to be easy, the King ruled for a reason and that reason was his insane power. Part of their being able to win this war was Viral getting healthy again, he was a key part of their team and they couldn't do this without him. All this talk of self-loathing and failure was really bringing the mood down, making them both properly miserable. Yet somehow Yumi reminded herself that she could help, even if she wasn't sure still how her ability worked. First forcing herself to calm down she reached out and placed a hand on Viral's shoulder, wondering if maybe contact would help him some. "You're going to get better, you will, it'll just take some time," she said gently, offering a small smile, "Vegeta and I wouldn't be working so hard if we didn't think you'd recover. And... As soon as you're ready we'll begin training, and we'll train until you're stronger than anyone else here. You're going to be great Viral, even better than you were before, it's just going to take a little bit longer than we'd like."

It was odd, Takeshi wasn't finding himself freaking out whatsoever being so close to T'charrl. Maybe once he got talking and all it was easy to get past what his friend looked like, it was easier to ignore appearances. It was really lame that he was so uneasy most of the time but he couldn't help it much, it was like Shu being afraid of his Oozaru form, it was just there. For the moment however he could actually get on without a care, enough to a point where he stood before the Kaesstrian without batting an eye. "Hey, I had no friends either growing up. I didn't even have a family," the Saiyan remarked, handing over half the pomegranate before smiling, "But look at us now. We've got family and friends, and we'll probably only make more, you know? And honestly I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be friends with than the people on this ship." Tch, all this touchy, sentimental conversation had him speaking real easily, and Takeshi found his face heating up slightly at speaking like this. It just wasn't his style to be so open usually, it made him feel a bit vulnerable and silly. Opting to take a brief pause he popped a seed in his mouth, sucking on it as he glanced over at Shu. The little guy was being pretty quiet, probably just content with his fruit for now. "Hit like a truck means they hit really hard. It's a saying we have on Earth," Takeshi explained, looking back to T'charrl with a smile, "And nah... I mean not entirely. Seeing you and your people using them kind of got me wanting to try too, you know?" Gah, why did T'charrl have to keep saying 'like him a lot', that sounded weird! "I do not like him at all!" he said abruptly, his face reddening drastically as he balled his hands at his sides. "I mean I d-do, but not like... Oh never mind!" Huffing he popped a few seeds into his mouth, sitting on his backside as he tried to play off his obvious embarrassment.

Viral didn’t know whether it was encouragement she was trying to give him or something completely different, making him confused. Telling him he was strong but not as strong as the King was the same as being called mediocre. They all believed he could fight against the King but if he wasn’t fighting himself then he was going to be left behind as everyone fought with greater power. “If I could…just get passed him…and kill him before he can go Super Saiyan…” It was pointless, just like everything else. Nobody would let him go by himself and attack him outright like that. They all wanted a piece of the action and to defeat him if he ever went Super Saiyan to test him at his full strength, but he wanted to kill him as quickly as possible. Still holding his head he stared at Yumi, trying hard to see through all this anger and stress as he came close to losing his mind. She didn’t know what he was going through, he felt completely drawn away from all sense of well-being as he succumbed to the voices that could only mock him. Staring at her as she spoke he slowly turned away again, sighing lightly, “You’re…going to make me great…” Removing his paws from his head he stared at his claws, blood staining them. Turning away he simply stumbled his way forward again, still staring at his claws, “Going to lose it before then…just completely lose it. Need to wash my hands…”

T’charrl found the fruits of Earth to be pretty fascinating and definitely worth keeping around in more ways than just storing them for food. He knew what he could do with his powers and he knew what he could do with the seeds too, maybe even see if his planet would accept them. He was keeping near enough every seed he could get from these fruits and was quite happy to store them away. Hopefully his friends didn’t mind him doing this, seeing as how it could be classed as taking an alien species along to live on his planet. “No family then? Hmm, do these people think of me as their friend?” he questioned him, feeling confused over that, “I mean, I don’t know how they feel about me”. He wasn’t depressed by that thought, by all means it wasn’t his business if he was to end up knowing he had no friends on the ship. He was technically invited to come along and help while the rest had goals and personal agendas with the King they wanted to fight so maybe they got mad if they thought he saw it as a holiday away from home. He should stop thinking about that kind of stuff before he upset someone, namely Takeshi who seemed happy to have friends all together like this. Feeling slightly more knowledgeable over Takeshi’s choice of words he gave a little smile, seeing how flustered Takeshi was getting. “Soooo you don’t like him but do like him…and want him to be your rival so he would notice you more, maybe?” he asked up, tilting his head slowly, “You want him to like you so you can like him back, maybe? But you like him because he’s your friend, maybe like family? You think he’s really strong and ‘cool’, but don’t want to like him but then want him to notice you. You are a confusing creature”.

Shu didn’t understand any of it as he sat munching happily on a banana. Takeshi seemed so confused and T’charrl wasn’t understanding his confusion either. He liked Viral just as much as anyone did so it was definitely something to hear Takeshi try to express that kind of feeling, yet seemed to not quite understand why Takeshi said he didn’t like him either. As T’charrl expressed his confusion over it all he smiled happily, bouncing a little on the spot before squeaking, “Takeshi jealous of Mister Viral, maybe!” he giggled, reaching over to the fruit again before noticing the pineapple, suddenly becoming alerted by its presence, “Prickly pear! How do prickly…?” Reaching out to it he tried to poke it, ducking down quickly the moment it moved when he touched it, “No no no okay…”

Viral was strong, there was no refuting that. He just wasn't at the King's level yet though, none of them were. That was going to take time to reach, and even so their best chances were still fighting together. In addition to that Viral was going to need time just to regain his former strength, all the more reason for this to be a group battle. With her hand still on the Beastman's shoulder Yumi smiled sadly, giving him a small patting. "You'll get your chance, that's just not right now. For the time being you need to focus on getting better, that's more important. After that then you can go fight." It was unfair to think that Viral was the only person who wanted to fight the King, or wanted revenge. Near everyone on the ship had been harmed in some way by that man, directly or indirectly. Each person on board with perhaps the exception of T'charrl had a bone to pick with the Saiyans, all the more reason they should all fight. Watching as Viral turned away she glanced down at his paws, shifting uncomfortably at the blood on them. He was hurting himself... Again... This wasn't right. Hurrying after her friend she linked an arm around his waist, offering support without saying as much as she looked up at him somberly. "You won't lose your mind... I won't let you. I'm here, for whatever you need. If yelling helps, or fighting, or whatever you need, I'll help you. I can talk to you or try calming you, I'll do whatever it takes. Vegeta can handle the medicine side, I'll worry about keeping you calm and relaxed. Will you let me?"

"I mean... We all think of you as our friend. Shu, myself, Vegeta and Yumi. I don't know about Viral, but I'd bet the twins and Kabocha do. Haku might, though it's hard to tell with that kid..." Takeshi mumbled, scratching at his head with a sigh, "But yeah, you've got plenty of friends on the ship. And I bet you'll make some of your own when we get back to Kaesstra. And who knows who you'll meet if you travel again, I bet you'll end up with all kinds of friends before long." Hopefully by then too they wouldn't all be people associated by war. There were a handful of people that they had met during their time with the rebels, some he wouldn't mind spending a bit more time with. There was this innate worry though that come the end of the fighting they may never see one another again. If that was the case then fine, not much they could do about it. But Takeshi really wasn't a fan of seeing anyone leave, not someone he considered a comrade and perhaps a friend too. T'charrl was having a field day with the Saiyan's hapless stammering, he couldn't figure out a way to properly say what he wanted to. Instead of being concise he was bumbling like an idiot, and a Kaesstrian of all people was being critical of his wording. "I don't know, maybe I do want him to see me as his rival! I mean, I should be good enough, you know? I'm stronger than he is right now, but when he's healthy I like to think we're equals. But he still doesn't think much of me..." It was frustrating, what did he have to do to get the Beastman's respect? Glancing up at T'charrl he stuck out his tongue childishly, not having much other way of offering rebuttal at this point. He really hoped this conversation never reached Viral's ears, he may just die of embarrassment.

There was a surprisingly long bout of Silence from Shu, unusual for a normally talkative little guy. Sure as the sun was bound to rise though the younger boy soon found his voice again, and he quickly joined in on the proverbial dog-pile that was forming on Takeshi. "I am n-not jealous of him! Why would I be jealous of him?" Takeshi asked, his face reddening once more as he waved his hands dismissively, "I can fly and use Ki and all sorts of cool stuff! Sure, he's got his sword, and maybe he's stronger than me..." Plus he had this weird ability to just sort of make you feel more confident when he was around. He'd noticed that while with the Saiyans too, though he loathed to admit it. When you were beside someone with tons of combat experience it made things easier, and Viral definitely had that effect. Watching Shu prod at the pineapple, Takeshi chuckled amused before grabbing the fruit, turning it over in his hands carefully. "You've got to take the skin off first Shu, otherwise it really sucks trying to eat one of these things." With no knife handy he extended one finger, forming a slight casing of Ki around it before giving a quick swipe, cutting off a small part of the pineapple. Peeling away the skin and taking out the core he tossed them away as well, finding himself yet again covered in sticky fruit juice. Scowling slightly he offered over half of the ring to Shu and the other half for T'charrl to try. "How's about since I brought you fruit you two stop picking on me, hm?"

Viral didn’t mean to do the stuff he did or say anything that could had been upsetting for Yumi to hear, but he found it incredibly hard to focus and see passed all that to make some sense. He was completely stressed out just from talking and getting angry with everything and himself, making Yumi upset that he was saying all these things. To make matters worse he was just hurting himself in his frustration, piercing his scalp as he attempted to ease his growing headache. He didn’t realise he was doing it and the pain was a lot less than what was going on in his skull so it wasn’t his fault. He was pretty confused at first but was gradually accepting the fact that he just had to deal with it and move on, his only care for now being how he looked and not causing Yumi any stress. Continuing on his way towards the mess hall he kept his paws in front of him, staring at them before gasping a little when Yumi suddenly wrapped her arm around his waist, his eyes going to her quickly before away again. He didn’t know what he was doing but she was still trying to give him some form of comfort. He was already yelling, it’s why he got so frustrated and all it did manage to do was make Yumi upset. “You ask me these questions, but you grow frustrated when I do such things. Are you sure you are saying that just to provide false hope? I don’t need you getting upset and angry…”

T’charrl wasn’t too sure about what Takeshi meant about new friends, seeing how he never did make friends very easily and returning to Kaesstra shouldn’t change anything. He liked how he was trying to reassure him that he had plenty of friends on the ship, but he didn’t know how much of that was only assumed or whether they were being polite. If Takeshi got freaked out over his looks then it was always going to be a concern that the others might too; although, when it came to Shu nothing seemed to phase him. Shu was an odd character seeing how different he was compared to the other Saiyans, but he hadn’t seen many Saiyans beyond what were on the ship so far. “I don’t think I would make any true friends back home just because I came back. I don’t want a friend who only sees me as a Prince, after all”. Truth was he didn’t want to make friends when he got home, he liked being able to be with his friends on the ship and was still needing to prove himself in battle and that he had complete control over his mind. He was getting better, even the last load of transformations he’d had he didn’t lose his mind and try to eat someone like before. He was working fairly hard to keep control and he hoped it was showing, especially considering he was sitting here with them all and nothing was happening to him. He was having fun for once, finding Takeshi’s fumbling to be pretty amusing. “But if you’re stronger than him won’t he see you more as an enemy over a rival if you’re mean to him right now? I don’t know if he would change how he feels so quickly when he’s better”. He hadn’t seen Viral better yet, from what he understood he wasn’t feeling very good ever since Kaesstra and that was quite a bit ago now.

Shu was getting all excitable after eating when Takeshi started to fumble with his words, finding all that energy building up and wanting to play again after remaining inactive for a while. Takeshi really didn’t know what he was talking about at this point but it was funny to hear him get all worked up over Viral. They probably wouldn’t be able to wind him up over anybody else, but of course that was just because the others didn’t mean the same as to what Viral meant to Takeshi. With that he was getting all curious over the pineapple, wanting it but unable to bring himself to go near it as it seemed quite stabby and would probably hurt him. “Ooh! Fly, fly, fly! Ki no big deal, everyone use Ki except Mister Viral”, he spoke, bouncing a little as he stared at the pineapple. Once Takeshi finally took it away from its spot he watched him curiously, tilting his head when it was cut open with Ki. It made him pretty excited seeing this, but probably because it smelled so sweet after he did that. “Ooh! Ooh! Gimme!” he squeaked, waiting for Takeshi to hand him and T’charrl some before immediately grabbing it, licking it happily. It tasted pretty sweet and kind of tangy, his tongue going all tingly because of it. “Ooh! Not picking on you. Nothing to pick on you! I don’t want what is on you unless it’s bugs because you don’t like bugs on you!”

Yumi felt the only way she could calm Viral right now was just be there for him. Until she really understood this calming ability of hers she couldn't use it on demand, she'd have to settle for some simple comfort then. Concerned too that harming his head might do some damage she took to his side quickly, linking an arm around his waist in case he needed a bit of support. "Okay, maybe fighting isn't a real option just yet... But anything else, whatever you need, I'm here. I'm trying to give you actual hope here, Viral. You're going to be getting better with Vegeta working so much, so you'll be fighting again soon enough too. I know it seems a long way off now if not impossible but you are going to get there. I wouldn't dare lie and try to give you empty promises, you know I wouldn't." Really the hardest part of this whole recovery was going to be getting his genes or whatever back to normal, everything else from therein should fall into place. Being healthy physically meant he could train, and training and fighting meant Viral would be happier. It was coming, she knew it was, so they just had to hold on a bit longer was all. Smiling up at Viral she eased her grip on him, keeping her hand loosely on his side. "It's going to be so exciting, don't you think? I've got Ki and all, but I really think I can fight without it now. I just feel... Different, I don't know how to explain it. But while everyone else is flying around and shooting all over the place you and I can kick some butt the old fashioned way," Yumi added, flexing her free arm, "We'll show them how real warriors fight, right?"

"Hmph... I know how that feels, believe me," Takeshi agreed, frowning as he took the pineapple from Shu. "There were loads of Saiyans who tried to get friendly with me when I was back on Kortal. They pretended like they liked me because I was the King's kid, they probably had something to gain, you know? They can all go crawl back to whatever hole they came out of, I hate people like that." It wasn't the end of the world if you didn't make friends of your own kind. T'charrl had everyone on the ship, and that was no small number of people in of itself. If you figured too those they had met in the rebellion would get along with the Kaesstrian then he had even more friends than he knew. Time would tell whether they were real friends or not, it all depended on if they hung around after the war or if people went off on their own. The twins Sasha and Ricken were alright, and Leto really wasn't that bad aside from his weird habits. There were a few people Takeshi would be disappointed if they vanished, especially when it didn't feel like they had known some of them all that long. "You think Viral sees me as an enemy? Really?" he asked, his brow furrowing a bit puzzled. Handing over a ring of pineapple to both Shu and T'charrl respectively Takeshi placed the remaining fruit back on the tray, using his already dirty shirt as a towel. "I don't know why he would, it's not like I'm trying to hurt the guy or anything. If anything I've been wanting him to get better, that's all. Can we just drop this? I feel weird talking about it." Or he just felt weird talking about personal things in general, it was easier to keep it all to himself. Shu and T'charrl had to have something to discuss too, something not related to him.

Shu looked like he really enjoyed the pineapple, that was good. Weird too, Takeshi had sworn they'd had some before. Maybe mixed up with a whole lot of other fruits before, that could be why the little guy didn't know what the flavor was like. As usual it was the simple pleasures that got Shu all happy, lucky kid. "Eh? What did I tell you about eating bugs off of me though?" he asked, giving Shu a look before smirking, reaching over and lightly flicking his brother's nose. "We should start thinking about what we're going to do on Kaesstra pretty soon, don't you think? We'll be there in a bit and there's a whole ton of world we haven't even seen. Plus... I guess I sort of did promise to try tree swinging next time, didn't I?" That was going to be... Interesting. Takeshi didn't have a tail like Shu did so he wasn't wholly sure how that was going to work out. Plus Shu was just better built for that sort of thing, the older boy had a feeling it was going to be terribly awkward for him to try this. Folding his arms over his chest the Saiyan let out a long yawn, turning back to T'charrl with a smile. "We've got to do stuff too, you know. We'll see what your mother wants obviously, but you'd better believe we're dragging you out to play with us. That way too you can show us all the neat places to play around in, yeah?"

Viral didn’t want Yumi to be concerned with his own matters, seeing how it was his problems. He didn’t need to drag Yumi down with him, he would be better by himself and allowed to keep his thoughts to himself instead of running his mouth like this. Who knew if he’d turn around and hit her instead of ranting like this. Growling lowly in frustration he kept his eyes off her, angrily staring away at the wall while keeping his paws close. “I know you are! Everyone else is trying too! I just can’t take it right now…” he growled, not meaning to come off as aggressive. He hated how much ‘hope’ they were giving him when it meant as much as a prayer might right now, but it was hard telling her that. “I need breathing room away from all this…I don’t need to think I can do this just because someone believes it might happen…” It was hard to think through all this anger, his inability to keep himself under control really taking its toll on his health. He felt completely stressed and unfortunately Yumi’s attempt to cheer him up wasn’t working. Staring at her he kept quiet, his gaze lowering a little before he looked away again, grumbling as he wiped his forehead as a little trickle of blood decided to make its way down. “You don’t need to handicap yourself just because you have fuzzy ears and claws…just blast them if you wanted to!”

T’charrl hadn’t had this fruit cut by Ki before, looking to Shu when he took his and seemed pretty fascinated by it. The fruit must had tasted differently if he was reacting like that, maybe it was full of energy so that much was pretty interesting to him. Looking up to Takeshi he smiled a little, accepting the piece of fruit. “They didn’t even try to pretend with me at first. They just told me straight away and that was it: they tell me I’m weird but should be friends with me because they were told to. I was only little when they all knew I was different, so it became easy to tell when they were just lying completely. I think it was their parents who wanted it more than they did”. It was hard to tell, especially when they were children and the adults were often absent. Nibbling at the pineapple he was soon finding out why Shu thought it was strange. The Ki did leave a strange cooked skin on it, making it taste sweeter than it probably was. “Well, he might if you’re stronger but trying to show off that you are. Enemy is different from friend, right? You get friend, enemy and you said rival, right?” It was just amusing how flustered Takeshi was over it all, seeing him fumble around trying to make things better for himself by dropping the subject. Eating at the pineapple he looked between Shu and Takeshi, silently watching as Takeshi tried to make plans before he was instead addressed, staring up at him curiously before ending up a little confused himself. “Huh? You want to play with me?” he asked quickly, looking between the pair, “Are you sure? I-I mean, I only went to the surface to fight, not play. Everywhere else is underground and I didn’t really play either. I don’t know how much use I’ll be to you trying to find a place to play”.

Yumi cringed slightly when Viral snapped again, her ears folding flat in disappointment as she looked down at her feet. Yeah, they all were trying but none of it was working. It was a bit upsetting that all of their efforts so far were for naught, and everyone was pretty much banking on Vegeta coming through in the clutch with a cure. She kept trying but didn't appear to make any real progress, not unless she could forcibly change Viral as she had done before. She could give him what he wanted, that breathing room, and it might just do some good. Having to focus on this issue constantly could wear anyone down, especially the person who was experiencing it. Okay, so maybe she'd been about this all wrong and she should be trying to distract Viral, not help him cope. Looking up at Viral she frowned seeing more blood trickling, thinking he'd only just pierced the skin before. She needed to do something about that first, but he'd probably kill her if they turned around and went back to Vegeta. "Beating them with my fists is a lot more satisfying though," Yumi replied, smiling slightly as she grabbed the Beastman's paw. Pulling him aside quickly she tugged him into the nearest room they could find open, another small supply closet. Her face already reddening from what she was about to do she reached down and took off her long shirt, wearing only a camisole underneath as she began tearing the sleeves into shreds. She was going to put it back on after she was done, but it was easier to work with it like this. "Lean down, please? I want to cover up those wounds of yours," she said, blushing quite a bit at having taken off the shirt. "We can't be doing anything when you're bleeding."

"Tch... Friends because they were told to... Those aren't friends, those are creeps who want something," Takeshi scoffed, frowning disdainfully. Like he had said he knew just how that was, nobles had done it to him with their children on Kortal. It was a smaller part of the reason he'd been so depressed on there, to think he was only being sought after because of who he was as the King's son and nothing else. Wanting to leave the whole Viral discussion alone now he mostly brushed off what was said, only offering a slight "Yeah" to confirm what T'charrl had asked. That wasn't wholly wrong, he and Viral were both friends and rivals, in his eyes at least. Still finding some juices on his fingers the Saiyan narrowed his eyes, giving the tips a quick licking to try and clean them off more thoroughly before asking Shu about playing on Kaesstra. He doubted he had to ask, knowing the little guy that was pretty much the only thing on his mind at the moment. His brother wouldn't be the only one wanting to play and have fun though, there was one other person in the room who probably did as well. "Yeah I'm sure, I wouldn't be asking if I weren't," Takeshi responded, grinning as he laid his head back against the wall. "If you don't know any places then we'll find one, no sweat. I mean look how big your planet is, and how much of it isn't all developed. We can find a neat place no problem, I'm sure. Somewhere maybe where no one else is, then we can do whatever we want." Shame that T'charrl hated water, they could look for a lake or something to go swimming in. Racing around in the trees might be their best option, there were certainly no shortages of those above ground. "If you can't find us a place then whatever, we'll find a place. No problem, you know? Just come have fun with us!"

Viral wasn’t going to be able to see any good until there was some result, but whether that would happen anytime soon wasn’t something he was aware of. It could take weeks and if his condition got worse during that time then he might need to get Vegeta to renew his research and change it all completely just to keep up. It was tough trying to last through it all and he already didn’t know how he was supposed to manage the rest of the journey, even if he had been afflicted by this condition for a while now. It was still maddening how painful it was and how much it changed his attitude. Finding his head still bleeding made him feel pretty annoyed, knowing it was a combination between stress and lack of nutrition that kept the wound open and his blood thin. “Hmph, as if punching would stop you from using Ki…” he mumbled, trying to wipe the blood away before Yumi suddenly snatched his paw. Stumbling as he was suddenly taken away from the corridor he gasped when he nearly fell over his feet, not exactly happy with where he was taken. “What are we doing??” he growled, looking away in embarrassment and awkwardness, “What if someone sees you damnit!” This was really awkward and Yumi wasn’t making it any better, his first thought going to why she didn’t just leave it until they got to the kitchen; he was wanting his medicine, not for her to strip for no real reason. Growling lowly he lowered down a little, feeling pretty awkward about all this, “I really don’t care if I’m bleeding, you know…I’ve never cared…”

T’charrl smiled a little, giving a nod before he looked down again, sighing heavily. It was a little pathetic that he never managed to make any real friends despite being a Prince and well known, the hope that somebody might had liked him had always been pretty low. Takeshi had an excuse, he was out on his own for a long time by the sounds of it but T’charrl was always around people. Maybe if he knew that talking to spirits wasn’t normal when he was young he might had been able to avoid scaring all his peers away. There was a lot in his past that he could do without remembering, the silence he experienced often being pretty hard to take as well when he did want to talk to people as well. Eating the rest of his pineapple he sighed, looking to his claws. “Remember I live underground and going to the surface often meant trouble for my clan”, he spoke, looking back to Takeshi, “You have to watch out for places of high energy if you want to travel, though. A lot of that energy can blast you out of the sky if you’re not careful. There’s also predators out in the further reaches and the plains. It isn’t all forest; that much I know”. He didn’t know what Takeshi might find to be fun, especially when he wasn’t one for travelling to other places and trying to meet other tribes. “Find a place? I hope we don’t get lost if we do go somewhere far…I mean, I may be good at tracking, but that’s in the forest and going above the trees was dangerous for me in the past”.

Viral couldn't use Ki, everyone and their mother's knew that by now. That didn't prevent him from being a perfectly able warrior however and once he had healed it wouldn't stop him them either. It wasn't so much a desire to emulate or even copy Viral as it was a want to try it for herself that brought Yumi to her decision. She knew multiple forms of martial arts after all. Not as many as the Beastman, but enough to call herself an expert in many. There was no reason she couldn't do as he did and just fight with her hands. If need be she would use Ki, that went without saying, but she wanted to try. Plus she figured that having someone fighting alongside him in the same way might help Viral feel a bit better about his lack of energy that they had. When she peered up at him as they walked she noticed the trickling blood, deciding to do something now rather than wait until they were at the kitchen. Grabbing Viral's paw she tugged him to the nearest room, forcing him into the supply room and shutting the door behind them. With naught else to use for bandages Yumi awkwardly pulled off her shirt, going about tearing off the sleeves to make bandages. "Just s-shut up and let me help you," Yumi said, her face red as can be, "If it were anyone else I wouldn't be doing this! Now lower your head so I can get you covered up." Feeling all sorts of embarrassed she used one bit of cloth to lightly dab at Viral's head, cleaning up some of the blood as best she could. Once she'd done that she took a long strip and gently wrapped it around his skull to cover the wounds, tying it off once it had come full circle. "You don't have to sound so tough all the time, you know," she said softly, smiling a bit as she slid her now sleeveless shirt back on, "No one is invincible Viral, including you. Letting that front go now and again won't make us think any less of you."

"All that's going to have changed when we get back, yeah? I mean I'm sure your mom's been busy at getting everyone to get along and all, so we can probably go wherever we want!" That was the Queen's big deal while they were there, getting both groups of Kaesstrians to live in harmony. With someone as crazy as the General removed from power it just might be possible, albeit there were bound to be those still loyal to the old regime. Always was, and those people weren't going to go away quietly. Even if things weren't as peaceful as they might hope it wasn't like T'charrl was going to be alone, he had nothing to worry about. Cocking his head to the side curiously hearing his friend's explanation Takeshi crossed his legs, leaning forward a bit as he placed his hands on his knees. "Predators, eh? I bet they probably taste good!" he said with a smirk, licking his lips and rubbing his hands together, "We should try finding some to chow on! And if it's not all forest then that just means there's all the more reason to go explore, you know? See what's out there and all! And don't worry about danger, you'll have Shu and I with you the whole time. I really doubt any wild animals will give us too much trouble. Never met something I couldn't beat and eat!" T'charrl didn't exactly eat most animals or meats, but that didn't mean he and Shu couldn't chow down. Food aside Takeshi really did want to see more of Kaesstra this time around, and his little brother probably did as well. Reaching over he placed an arm around Shu's shoulders, pulling him to his side and poking his stomach playfully, "What do you think buddy, should we go explore with T'charrl?"
