Honestly, Runo didn't know why he kept trying to reason with the angry creature; he clearly didn't care for what anyone else thought and speaking with him only brought about more frustration. "Either way, nobody else seems to have a problem with it, and this kind of behavior isn't getting anything to move faster." Now that he thought of it, why did Tanikazi stay with them if he had such a problem with everyone? Nobody ever said that he had to, yet he still stayed even though he disagreed with everyone. It was strange, but perhaps it told something else about him. Exactly what, he wasn't entirely certain of just yet. He had just met him. The woman's ramblings put EVE's memory to task. She knew about humans. Was she human? After a couple minutes she responded. "I am human. I was brought here to serve as a caretaker and augmented for such." After further study she deturmined Shea was human. EVE could hardly remember the last time she saw another of her kind. That begged to question though... "How did you get on board? Are you here for the same purpose?"

Shea studied EVE thoughtfully. She was a very unique being. "You aren't human EVE. You can't be. As far as I can tell there is no reason for a human to be on the pyramid. You have to be either a hybrid. Which is my best guess at the moment. Or your are a species similar to humans. But to my limited knowledge don't exist anyplace other than Earth." She told the other girl. "I came through the front door when this place landed on my planet. My purpose is to identify each species and determine if they are a threat to Earth or not."

Runo smiled at the girl despite the fact that she probably couldn't see it from her position. "I'll be careful, then. And I'll keep to the nearby places in the hallway that connects directly to here for now." Finally, he felt like he had an idea of how to actually be helpful. Provided that he could remain careful enough not to draw attention to himself or the group, of course, but that probably wouldn't be too much of a problem as long as he stayed alert. Moving directly to the door, he looked back over his shoulder before exiting. "I'll be back shortly with whatever I can find."

Tanikazi grunted and leaned against a wall with his arms crossed, he wasn't going to reason with those idiots. he would leave the group but he would be completely alone and escape wouldn't be very easy to do, he didn't trust EVE or whatever everyone called it, pretty much everyone he knew was blasted straight to hell by those things, and now everyone was siding up with them, Tanikazi's brain hurt trying to find any logic in siding with a scrap bucket.

Shea's answer didn't seem to be wrong. But EVE wasn't quite convinced. The explanation of her entering the pyramid was unusual. She seemed genuinely confused by the answers answers. "Something must be happening here on Earth then. I have never seen the facility go anywhere without reason."

She frowned at EVE's response. She didn't know much about history. It was entirely possible that humanity had been threatened at some point in the past. Humanity always seemed to be on the brink of extinction. "I wonder what the reason is now. As far as I know the world is in no more danger than usual.

"That is a possibility. There are many species that call Earth home. Many of them are endanger of dying out. But again this isn't anything new." Shea said thoughtfully. She wished she had her gear. She was itching to study EVE's blood. But she had left it somewhere back by the entrance. "Do you know where we might find out why the pyramid landed here?"

EVE hesitated on answering the question. She knew where to go but only those with permission were allowed to enter. And there was no way to ask the system for clearance. Seeing that this was going nowhere Akila decided to test Tanikazi's theory. "Eve." With the girls attention she pointed toward the door. "Take us where Shea wants to go at once." There was a brief moment of silence before EVE's expression went cold again. "Yes, of course. This way please." She began to lead them out and through the hall.

As soon as he exited the room, Runo had camouflaged himself just to be safe while he searched the nearby areas. He was sure that it might not be as useful against something that used scent or echolocation to track things, but he couldn't really imagine any of the metal beasts using a sense of smell. Echolocation might still have been a possibility, but he would just have to find a way to deal with that if it came up. As he walked down the hall, he would occasionally stop as he neared another room and peer in to see what was there. Most of them just contained more pods, some empty while others contained curious and confusing creatures. None seemed to be active at the moment, but it was fascinating to see. Occasionally, he would stumble across a locked door instead, but he had no way of entering to find out what lay behind them. A bit further down the hall, there was a room that stood out from the others, and appeared to be full of various machinery. Gears of various kinds and lights of many different colors immediately caught the merman's attention, and there were some signs here and there featuring symbols that didn't make very much sense to him. Walking slowly into the room, Runo carefully looked around to see if there was any clue what any of this was for. Maybe there was at least some kind of hint even he could understand in all this?

As much as she wanted to find out what was going on she didn't think that it was right for Akila to order EVE around. She reluctantly followed the other two woman out of the room. She was deep in thought trying to decide his she felt about EVE obeying Akila.

A few minutes of looking around the room hadn't been very fruitful for Runo. While there was a wealth of fascinating objects to explore, he still couldn't understand what any of them did or how they worked. What were all these lights for? Why were there so many different materials? What did all these symbols mean? They weren't in any language he had ever read before. Perhaps this room's machinery was part of the operation of the structure in general? Maybe this room was used for maintenance. But what would he do with any of this information, anyway? As the merman pondered this, he caught sight of a door to one side of the room and walked over to see what it was for. Surprisingly, it was actually unlocked, but it only revealed a small closet. Still, inside the closet were what appeared to be cleaning supplies, including a few rags and a push-broom. He had seen one of these a couple of times when humans cleaned off the docks, pushing the shells of the small creatures the seagulls tried to eat into the water to rest in peace. Perhaps some of these could be useful somehow? I bet it wouldn't hurt to have a few supplies for emergencies.

He couldn't believe that Akila would do such a thing. It was cruel. She wasn't paying attention to where she was going. She took a wrong turn. A door opened automatically and she walked right through it. The door slide closed behind her.

EVE followed closely after Shea, partly because of what Akila said and partly out of curiosity. She also made it through the door. "Where are we going? She could only assume they had a destination. It would be rather unwise to just want into a room without scoping it out.
