Japanese DDs are terrifying, at later tiers they pretty much have cloaking devices and fire ALL THE TORPEDOES.

Not to be a potato, and god knows I love myself some Japanese battleships, but American battleships will most likely be the supah troopers, that or the terrifying Tirpitz/Bismark.

Actually, the Yamato outclasses every other WW2 battleship when it comes to primary stats.
I'm not sure about its technology, though.

Still, by facts of WW2:
aircraft carriers > battleships
destroyers armed with torpedoes > battleships
Submarines > battleships

They were big expensive targets.

The Montana is to be the TierX battleship for the 'Muricans, not sure on how the Kriegsmarine will play out. First is IJN and USN, then we will have the Soviets, Royal Navy, Kriegsmarine, Marine Nationale, and the Regia Marina. Order on the last four may change, but as far as I'm aware that's how it's suppose to fill out.
