Edo/Kami Period

A time of order in Japan, under the rule of the Tokugawa shogunate, order was slowly returning to Japan. For 100 years, peace rained over Japan. Unfortunately, things changed, history did not go as planned. A young Daimyo, one of the few left, revolted. Under normal circumstances, he would have been crushed, but, with the help of the gods, they were able to win. This man established a knew order in Japan. This man created the "Path of the Gods", or "Pasu no Kami". This usherd in a new era, called the Kami Period.

By learning The Path of the Gods, Samurai and Ninja alike, are given the ability to utilize a portion of that gods powers. With this new ability though, Daimyo's slowly began to hire many of these students, who were called "Kami Shinpō-sha". They grew powerful enough to overthrow the Shogun, and send Japan right into an era of war similar to that of China's, called The Waring Clans. But this was a war like no other, and this introduced the "Path of the Demon", or "The Demon Way." This gave people the ability to draw from a demons power, change or transform into own, summoning one to fight or binding one into a blade.

You are a Samurai, or Ninja, hired to fight for a Daimyo, or leading an an army of them. But, with war ravaging Japan, a group called Kukutaru is rising up against them all. They wish to end this all, with war itself. Will you follow them, or will you fight them, what path will you choose.

Interested? Question!

Hmm, not entirely sure about the idea, but I couldn't resist commenting on a few things.

First and foremost I'd get rid of "Pasu no Kami" since that's butchered Japanese.
'no' is the possessive of the word before it, so it actually says the "Path's god" (as in the gods belong to the path).
If you really wanted to include Japanese I'd suggest sticking to the familiarized 'Bushidō" (Warrior Path), changing that to "Kamidō" and I suppose "Akumadō" if you wanted to use Japanese for the demons too. But again, I think it'd all just be simpler if you used english since most people who join probably won't be familiar with Japanese, and frankly won't care xD

Nitpicking aside, I'm a bit curious as to what you mean by gods and demons?
Are you adopting the mono-god approach of Christianity, the pantheon gods approach of Greece, or the Japanese god approach 'the yaoyorozu' (literally 8 million gods). Where gods can be found everywhere? 'Tochigami" for example are gods that oversee their own domain, while some mountains (usually the larger ones) have individuals gods that represent them.

A similar question regarding the demons. Are you referring to western demons, as in the horned little red imp men that poke you with forks?... xD Or are you thinking more along the lines of Ayakashi; Japanese demons which aren't necessarily evil as ayakashi, apply any supernatural entity (that isn't a god). Mainly curious about this one since it'd change the entire demon path depending on whether they're inherently evil.

I knew I messed up regarding that in some way. I'll most likely get rid of all Japanese anyway. Thanks fro telling me of that, hoping someone would.

In old era in Japan. People said every thing has spirit or god. It is about 8 million gods. There was not that many humans, so we can assume each person had 8 gods. No, this theory will not be used in it's entirety. The Land-Masters will be used in a different way in this era/RP. They will basically the same, they are placed inside the territory of a Daimyo. There serve to protect his residents, either if it was a shield, an alarm, or a supernatural guard, they all have a way of protecting of there land as long as they are prayed to. But they will not be the main deities who's powers can be accessed.

We will be utilizing the Major Kami.
-Amaterasu
-Uzume
-Fūjin
-Hachiman
-Inari Ōkami
-Izanagi
-Ninigi
-Omoikane
-Raijin (wonder were else he is)
-Ryūjin
-Suijin
-Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto

I'll go into the detail of their possible abilities and power. Buddhist gods could also be involved here, but it may not be to likely. But, they will likely be used as guardians, only Monks can be Path Followers of such gods.

No, they are no inherently evil, nor is it an evil path to take. But it is usually shuned be the people. As you said they refer to Ayakashi, but the term is not as board. We will be referring to the Legendary Creatures, such as Akabeko. But why they are called demons is because of how they are used. They are forcefully summoned, binded, that's the idea anyway.
