If I burn something with Empyrean flame, does its combustion involve Empyrean flame, or does it just act as a catalyst for producing copious amounts of normal fire?

It would ignite practically anything you threw it at, even water. But, being a magical flame, it needs to be magically fueled, and so the Empyrean would go out pretty quickly, leaving just the standard flame. And if it wasn't on a readily combustable serface, then that would soon go out as well. So, kind of a waste to use it like that.

Edit: Since I am on a Solo mission now, should I just post it all in one?

@KabenSaal Eeh, I'd go ahead, unless you wanna keep the time in sync with the rest of the group. You know how outta whack RPs as large as this one can get if the posters' IC times are different. Let's try and keep it as close as possible, amirite?

Finally back home! It's so nice to be back on a computer again. I'll be posting in a moment, although Narza won't really have much to add.

Also, I've come to the sad realization that Narza won't be learning any new magic at the current rate of things. All she's going to be eating are priests and paladins, who use holy magic she can't use anyways.

It'd be nice if there was a Mage Guild Branch in the Regional Capital that could attempt to offer some resistance.
Aside from mages, I suppose Adventurers would be rather formidable as well.

Actually, Adventurers would be more common at these remote towns than heroes since they'd only stop in at nearby towns to resupply, whilst heroes are probably basking in glory in larger towns.

@Markofkri

Noticed your post on the IC. Like the title says, I'm willing to accept a few more people. There's a bug on RPGuild where once you set the status to "Full" like I did, you can't change it back. We're not actually full. That being said, if you want to join then make a sheet OOC for approval and then transfer it over to the character section, don't just hop into the IC.

Name:Grishnak-Gorlap
Physical Form: Orc(LOTR style) He is 5 feet tall on the tips of his toes and has a slender build. One ear his septum and both nipples are adorned with piercings of bone and wood, He also is bald ;p.
Abilities: Excels with spear and sheild but can hold his own with a sword
Personality:Grishnak is boisterous orc loud and abnoxious as is common with his race He cares for little else but plunder and his own life. T
Wants/Needs: Grishnak is hell bent on earning is lot in life whether in plunder or in blood, he also fancies him self as a self made cheiftain in the ranks of the orcs.
Backstory: Grishnak was raised in the breeding pens of Dol Guldor he spent his early life learning the heirarchy of goblin society figuring out his place in the world. By the time he could walk he was put on the war party raiding and plundering the man villages to close to the mountain. Occasionally stealing from a troll but that was just adolscent adventure. When the master began calling the clans Grishnaks whent along with everyone else greedy at the prospect of new gold and possibly earning a better name for them selves. And here they are in the middle of a vast horde of chaos and evil about to pour over the rim onto a peacefull land...

Accepted, you can put that in the character section.

This is what happens when we let new people in.

We have Tinkerhel, Yappo, and Wold all inactive now, so I figured we may as well replace them. Managing so many characters in a RP is actually proving to be easier than I thought, so we really probably could have upwards of twenty people, but don't worry. I don't want this to get too crowded. =P

@PhoenixFire

So now that we have your sheet we just need to figure out a good way to introduce Xallihion IC. Currently there's four characters that are plotting to invade a dwarven outpost. Perhaps Xallihion is a prisoner there, and they let him go and he comes back to dungeon with them? *shrug*

I'm open to any ideas that you have. We could just have him wander over the Dungeon himself and offer his services.

Thinking about it, Emily isn't even on a super important thing. It's really just a Side quest right now. So, I oculd just post off kilter, really.

@Cyclone

If I explore a village proximal to the dwarven outpost, am I allotted a bit of creative freedom in describing it? I just wanna talk about a bit of the attitudes there toward the dwarves and pick out some people.

Very micro-level.

Ah, it burns off magic. I suspected as much. The reason I asked was because that is how one replicates fire- by burning things with it. Of course, getting appropriate fuels for Empyrean would be difficult, which would keep Torrens with a very limited supply, but it means it isn't entirely impossible for him to get more without someone to conjure it.

As for your mission, post it in appropriately sized chunks. If you can fit it all in one reasonably sized post, I see no problem with it. If, however, it turns out to be rather large, I would rather it be posted in pieces than in one massive super post.

I'm pretty sure you could pick your own time. When that time is would depend on how you wish to enter. Have you been here all along, just sitting in at the side lines (in which case you could probably join the raid with Athinar, in the frontal assault)? Do you only just now find the Dungeon? Were you a captive in one of the two places we're going to raid?

I'm down for any way you want to introduce Xallihion Cyclone, He would very easily be using a mind controlled cat's-paw/slave to buy his supplies or be a front for himself. He could also have been off on a mission for the DK as he does prefer to remain in the background and such.

Empyrean doesn't belong in the Physical world, even Emily's fake one. So, once it uses up it's store of Mana staying in this plain of existance, it'll either fizzle out, or be fed more. Empyrean is usually the catalyst. The Spark. The Primer. It rarely burns for very long.

Well I have no preference either. You mention that he came from the depths of the earth though, so it'd make sense for him to be lurking in the mines of that dwarven outpost that we're about to attack. If you're asking me to choose for you, that's how I'd introduce him if he were my character.

Yeah, I have the idea of having him wait back in hiding for the end of the Attack to see who wins and the relative strengths of these new creatures, and to see if any of them might be useful as pawns. So when the Attack is over I'll introduce Xallihion and his reaction (or lack of) to the Attack.
