Well there's always the possibility of Eve going with him. It doesn't sound to implausible for her to follow him just to see what her other options are if he'd just let her go back. Granted she probably wouldn't trust him to just let her leave.

Yeah, those would be pretty cool. One of the reasons I wanted to have Spinel go with Aqua is because it's eventually going to present a pretty interesting moral dilemma for her.
