@21308 People seem to disagree with me a lot so I'm assuming it's my Kurdish Bias speaking, but yeah, I don't see why people think of Canadians as so incredibly polite. Some of us are definitely more two-faced but I'd say that for the majority most of us aren't rude but less up-front about it. And it's not so much what I've dealt with in Quebec, the fact that I speak French makes my experiences there a lot better than most. It's the fact that Quebec...It's...It's a special place, I'll put it that way. No idea how either is like outside of stereotypes but I'm going to say New York? Especially the Toronto area? Toronto is pretty much the closest thing to NY from my understanding.

What have I missed while picking up tables?

@Loony Hum now I'm interested to hear more about Quebec. But yeah I assumed as much, most places that have a really strong reputation for being polite really aren't that super polite, just generally less confrontational, I think. And I guess when you said that Ontario thought it was the center of the universe New York and Texas were the first American places that came to mind, although if we're being honest my own home state has it's own far, far less justified and sadly misguided penchant for considering itself the center of the universe. I think it stems from how the rest of the country suddenly pays all its attention to us every time it's time to get a new president.

The blue gem would suddenly find themselves surrounded by 6 floating chakrams and facing down a very unstable looking Mars* "I guess I didn't make myself clear before. Allow me to rectify that." *The rings begin to glow menacingly as energy courses through them* "Yoy can run, or you can fight, but there is no forgiveness."

Edit: "And I heard that Gilles, I guess I'm not done with you yet either! Watch your back Human, cause I'll remember that."

After a moment of laughing, Sodalite calms down and mutters some words under her breath. "merikés forés i̱ kalýteri̱ epíthesi̱ eínai mia kalí̱ ámyna..."

Oh okay as long as I didn't miss much. I got a coffee table and a kitchen table for 110 so I am happy ^_^

@21308 Um, unlike the rest of Canada and France, where they originate from, Quebec is sorta...Backwards, I guess? They're super scared of having their language and culture lost (and I don't blame them at all considering the history behind Canada) and have set up a bunch of laws trying to protect it, but being that they're much more rooted in tradition than France...Well, for one, they're pretty anti-immigrant, except for those who speak French, and even then, against lgbt groups, are deeply rooted in Catholic church ways and aren't tolerant of other religions (I'm not sure if the law passed or not but they were trying to make it illegal to take any religious clothing or symbols that weren't catholic to work), and they're also trying to separate, which I can't blame them for at all, and the rest of Canada doesn't like that last part especially. I understand how they've ended up the way that they did, and it's quite unfortunate because they've been walked over and suppressed a lot in the past (And still are to an extent today, especially in certain communities) but yeah. And then there are things like La Crise d'Octobre and the FLQ, but ye.

@Loony Wow, I was never aware of any of that. I kind of want to learn more about Quebec's history now, sounds like some difficult stuff went down. Sucks that they're dealing with it like that though. I mean, I totally get the whole 'when in Rome' thing but there's a reasonable limit.

@LoonySodalite took the beating dutifully, being as quiet and motionless as she could to give Mars the smallest amount of satisfaction possible. Once free, the gem broke into a sprint and dragged Gilles away. "Nous allons faire appel à l'Inquisition espagnole, personne ne les attend!"

*Mars finds himself being mysteriously lifted into the air, much higher than Current or Altiverse Eve should be able to. If we were to turn around, he'd find Different, Current, Altiverse, and Original Eve, the two former with their eyes glowing as they lift him higher and higher into the air, the Altiverse one rushing towards Sodalite like a crazed mother bear getting all protective of their cub, and the last one doesn't seem to be taking it too seriously and is just sort of giving Mars a grin of 'I got back at you'. For that matter, Different Eve doesn't seem to care much, either.*
