The Empire, hundreds of years old, and in it's second incarnation. Born from the ashes of the Bickhoff kingdom, the Empire was a marble pillar standing strong against the elements and staying as white and pure as the day it was made.
Not anymore.
Lifting up the shell leads to finding the sickening stench of corruption and sin. In the middle of this, is a cripple, and a king, struggling to keep his home together through years of conquest and overexertion.
King Evenlon Sydal
Despite his strugglings to keep his home together, the crippled king has no ambition to be a ruler, he attempts feebly to be what his people are asking for in a king, But Evenlon is not his father, and thus he fails. His only hope at retaining his power is through his tutor and godfather;
Custos Bickhoff
Born to the prestigious Bickhoff family, Dukes of Sinestros and formerly emperors, Custos is the true power behind the regime, attempting to hold together what remains of the empire. He grows more tired with each day, as the corruption and incompetence grows and grows. Custos has nothing left, no fancy strategy to fix it, no anything, Custos is tired, and grows moreso with each plan that fails.
As the empire crumbles, vultures fly in to pick up the scraps, the Triarch from the east, the snow tribes from the north, and the Gregorev dynasty attacking from Shatterly in the west. The crumbling regime lies to it's civilians, empty, rotten lies.
And me? Well, lets just say, I won't last much longer either.
