@Cultural Titan I do if we can work it out that way, if it's possible/no one minds, that sort of thing. @Frengo, if you're interested in that, let me know so we can work out details. If not, it is always something that can be changed.

I'm being realistic here. The Mistwalkers have been on their trek for hundreds of years. They probably won't reach their libertarian ideal in Sharp's lifetime.

...unless they do ;).

@Cultural Titan looking for some input/constructive criticism, and you seem to be the person to ask :p
I've been sick, and a little out of it, so I do apologize if the writing doesn't exactly flow. I usually double and triple check and I haven't been able to do that here.

What is this, people want to talk to me and I let it go over an hour? I must be slipping.

@Esterdi

I feel like Sharp and Sariel could agree on the ends, just not the means.

@IcePezz

I guess I'll just go through and disjointedly point out anything that sticks out in my mind. I do not guarantee that I will catch everything or even anything useful or relevant. Though that is the intent. Oh and the usual I hold no power here that I always find myself saying.

Her powers section reads "The blood bound to hers is that of an ancient beast, or so they've been told. But it has given her enhanced senses and increased strength. One other odd occurrence, when faced with her enemies up close, she is able to instill fear and doubt." Three things bother me here. they've been told? Do you mean she's been told or is their something I am missing? Secondly, the second sentence, I am not sure what "One other odd occurrence" has to do with the rest of the sentence. It seems like you changed what you wanted to say part way through and never fixed it. Anyway, the last point here is that its starting to bother me how little a frame of reference we have for increased physical strength across all the characters that have such an ability. And yes I say this knowing full well that both of my characters are inhumanly strong and said superhuman strength is not defined on either one's character sheet. Don't feel like you need to jump on that last one, I know I'm in no hurry.

Assuming your character ends up being with the Galuntrung Rangers it would make sense for the trading city in her bio to be Merandin, the only notable city in that area of the map. As a side note if Liara ends up spending any time in or near the White Woods, which assuming she get's in with the Galuntrung ranger's she would, then Liara will know of my character Raven. Though she would know him as The Revenant of the White
Woods, a two decades old undead of incredible power mindlessly walking around the woods. You don't fuck with him cuz he'll steal your soul, but he's easy enough to track and avoid when he's mindless. Of course recently he just got up and left to go join the dark army. You don't have to update your character to include Raven, but you personally should be aware of it.

Again a thing that does not have to change, but I don't think this word has public schooling available to all the poor of the land. I don't think anything has been written to the contrary though so I'll leave that up to you or a higher power to think about.

Oh, she left on a boat? Oops. There goes the Merandin suggestion from earlier. I guess Liara would be from out of the Kingdom then. At least as far as our map would suggest.

Anyway hopefully something in that is useful and doesn't convince you to leave. I seem to occasionally have that affect.

As a side not to everyone who's still here from the interest check. Remember when we thought there were too many evil characters?

Firstly, if I could just say that I appreciate all that you said.

I did ask mostly because I saw what you had commented on other characters. I didn't read very much on the rest of them, but I did like the insight you brought. Looking at things from a different perspective certainly can help when trying to create a solid character.

The part about her being a bit stronger, I felt that in order for her to be a viable candidate for pit fighting, she'd have to have something like that. I didn't want to make her op and say she was so much stronger, but I totally get what you're saying.

I had created the character for another rp on another forum, and I wanted to get her here. Unfortunately with me being sick and busy with work, I may have rushed a bit :p I will take your points into consideration, make some adjustments and wait for the powers that be to comment. Thank you :)

The increased strength is totally fine and not grounds to be called op. Just a lot of characters have increased strength and I can only imagine that it means different things for different characters, but between all of them, again including my own, the sheets will just say increased strength. Maybe I should fix some of that. that. As far as being op is concerned, there is definitely a power disparity between characters, particularly between the inner circle of the dark side and most light characters. this is not a problem so long as the players don't use their stronger characters to just outright murder everyone.

Anyway to all that notice this whose characters are above average in strength, what were you thinking when you wrote it. I know I wanted raven to be able to grab people by the ankles and throw them tens of feet. Oh and to be able to dribble people, hitting them so hard into the ground they rebounded to get hit again. Maybe he shouldn't be that strong, but that would also highlight why this is a good conversation to have.

@Cultural Titan :p I suppose I was thinking something similar for Liara. Not hulk strength, but certainly more than someone of her stature.

On a side note. I've never truly played a pure evil character before. I don't know if I was ever very comfortable with it. But should it be needed, I could switch Liara from grey/light to grey/dark. If it's needed, and if there is a place for her.

I tried to avoid nyarlathotep having increased physical strength or speed to balance out the fact that until their armor is dealt with they are basically impervious to most thing.

The light being more numerous sounds fine to me. We will meet your numbers with unimaginable demonic powers!

@Leslie Hall

He also has tons of other powers that make superhuman physical traits mostly moot.

Also thinking on that end, her 'valkyrie' ability of doubt and fear could very well help to take out foes in her pit fighting experience, she doesn't necessarily need to have superhuman strength of any degree. Right?

@Cultural Titan exactly. Ik they're the dark Lord and everything but I didn't want to just add things in for the sake of it. What they have is, in my opinion, enough to be a significant threat.

You seem so determined to get rid of it and for the life of me I cannot figure out why. If that's what you want to do that's fine, but I certainly won't take it away. Maybe White Feather will, but he only... graces us? with a post every once in a while.

Approved powers include, but are not limited to, summoning demons, cold and fire auras, invisibility, body modification that runs on moonlight, 3 instances of resurrection, the capturing of souls for an increase in power, necromancy and yes several counts of superhuman strength. There is no balance reason to remove this from your character because it will not break the game. You will not even be the most powerful character. Not by a long shot. And that's okay.

Speaking of the moonlight thing. The Moonlight Greatsword is apparently a new weapon in the bloodborne expansion. I did not think they would bring it back.

Not having played Bloodborne as I am high born pc gamer I was surprised mostly that they had not already put it into that game. But it is from software tradition. If they made a game about clipping toenails they would still find a way to add the moonlight greatsword.
