Anyway, I was thinking about prospective powers. Are there any out there that are downright banned? For mine own, I was thinking of giving them the ability to transmute and manipulate non-living matter. Turning coal into gold, for example. To off-set that strength, they would require physical contact with whatever they're changing. Also, they can't create new matter from nothing, or if they could it would drain the person heavily.

Would that work out?

As for the transmutation itself, there'll be limits. Such as not being able to just turn helium directly into tin or so on. They'd also require the knowledge of what's possible to create. No indestructible iron alloys, no.

These seem to be fighting-only powers, and this isn't the arena section. We ain't got any use for that. Though, they can easily be changed to more feasible powers.

I mean, if it's indeed based on FMA, then it's fairly balanced. Of course, if your character is like Edward and can more-or-less freely control anything with no specialty, then that might be a problem.

@Mr Allen J I have a few thoughts, although I'm highly unlikely to play more than one character.

1. You Are What You Eat - taken to the extreme. This character can both dissect what is in anything they consume, but also change their body composition to match anything they have eaten recently (or maybe just what they have eaten most recently). So after a soda, they could make their skin bubble, which would be a neat party trick. Alternatively, they could eat a rock and then become a human statue at will.

2. Environmental Control. This character can absorb and direct heat and affect the temperature, humidity and barometic pressure (limitedly) of the space they occupy, up to a certain radius. Also, they are generally invulnerable to heat and cold effects. Directing heat would include superheating an item and taking heat from something (such as a cookie or oven). This could potentially also include some degree of water control, as related to the saturation of water in surrounding air.

Thoughts on either of these?

1. This power sounds fine - but definitely needs solid limits and shit. Because it can quickly become a "I'm impervious to everything!" kind of deal.

2. Is this basically like temperature control? I don't quite get it.
