Um... Max? I believe he's the team member who currently has the least number of Relationship/Influence points with people so I guess you could throw him a bone.

That being said, is John starting out on the team or is he going come in as the new guy when the game actually starts?

I'd go for someone who has the least amount of relationship points, honestly. It's only fair given that they get influence points and the like.

I think either way he's the new guy, after all he is the latest addition to the group. Between that and him being a space-case they might hold reservations about him and treat him like it, regardless.

@Arcanaut Possibly. I can imagine things like Telekinesis and telepathy going haywire real easily (just look at Jean Grey).

Gotta say I'm not entirely keen on some of the relationship points. Players are essentially made to make their characters have arbitrary crushes and whatnot on each other for no real reason other than "because the playbook says so". I mean look what's happening here. We have someone who needs to make such a choice for their character but can't decide because, if I had to guess, it wouldn't feel very natural or organic no matter what.

Still, I'm willing to overlook it if only because the game is still in its beta stage. This sort of thing will probably be fixed or more polished in the final product, hopefully.

So...we're going to have to split in two teams. Split however you guys want (Noon will just go to whichever has the least, or whichever I feel like if they're even). Can still associate with each other, but can totes be rival teams. However we divide, one of the novas will have to be on a different team than the others team.

@Double The playbooks make connections to get backstory out of the way and to show how we're a team of stereotypical teens. I'm not really a fan of the specific options and would have preferred if they did it like Numenera, where you have a list of options, pick one, and that makes your connections to the party (if any), as well as motivation. The relationships are in EVERY Apocalypse World game. This one doesn't have "Sex Moves" like some of the others, which literally give you something every time you have sex.

If you guys want to change your relationships to something that still fits the playbook, you can. Like I said, I'm totally cool with custom content, as I've said many times. Doesn't have to be stereotypical stuff and whatnot. @Framing A Moose, this part applies to you too, if you don't want that option.
