Take your time! There's no rush. We'd like to see everyone post at least once by the end of the week, but that's all!

To be perfectly honest, from how long it took for even an explanation why things were taking so long, I was pretty close to dropping too like by today if nothing was up I probably would of...Because things that take that long to get off the ground, don't have a high chance of lasting very long on average. But, I suppose I will commit to it since it actually has started, and I didn't exactly want to waste all the effort I put into my CS's. I will work on a post sometime in the near future. But if there is another absence again, I probably will drop out as well because I want to be in RP's that are active. I'm just being frank, and giving you the heads up. Hopefully all the problems you both have been having have been resolved.

Thank you for your patience! Most of the hold up was on the GM's end - they weren't able to get online and even contact me about it, unfortunately. However, we're not looking at another hold up like this again. The biggest problem was getting this roleplay off the ground, and now that we're getting traction, it won't be happening again. If there's any future hold ups, none will last like this - a few days at most, maybe, but not an entire month. When we were starting the roleplay, we expected a two week delay at most while waiting for character applications, but a full month was definitely not intended. Thank you for your patience!

I am glad to see responses already kicking in, liking the posts so far. I will be keeping the roleplay open for as long as things are not getting too intense; if combat begins or things start to become complex, I'll close the roleplay from accepting players. Though, I really don't know how many people simply jump into a roleplay. I suppose we shall be finding out.

Returning back to the rules, now that the roleplay is starting, I'd like to remind all that there is a four-day wait to responses within the roleplay. That means that if it is your turn to respond, you have four days to do so before you are skipped over. I believe in the past that Wisp has spoke to me about posting with a turn-order to the roleplay, which honestly would be best if we are going to have a time for when the next person is to post. (If you do not understand the four-day rule, look at the last rule under the Rules header. I would like to note that it says "your last post", but this may be a typo. Seriously, think about it: if you made a post, someone didn't respond for four days, then apparently you're skipped because that person didn't respond in time for you to do your next respond... ? It doesn't make sense in the technicality. Just follow what I have said here or the specified "this only applies to the waited on player"; I will be finding a nifty way of fixing this wording by morning).

Pushing that confusion aside, I shall be waiting for Cubix and urukhai to read up the IC and post before proceeding with the roleplay.

Speaking about proceeding with the roleplay, @SleepingSilence -- since I had sent an NPC to fetch your character Erebus, would you prefer for me to play/write for this NPC in my next post? Or would you like to play/write for this NPC in your next post? I'm fine with either or, truly, just let me know!

@Dracogenius Hmm...Okay, starting off I suppose I will write for my character's and the NPC's interaction, since my character is in involved...My second post was going to be between Erebus and Eros back in the kingdom anyhow. Forgive me, I read your post last night, and must of not seen that part. I just tried skimming them over once again, but still didn't find a mention of my character. But I do have advice, IF someone mentions another character in their post, could they please use @mention, at the very top of their post, so it's not as easy to miss entirely...Especially considering that particular 'reply' rule. Which I have to ask...

We'd like to see everyone post at least once by the end of the week, but that's all! (so when this was posted, you have 4 days.)

That means that if it is your turn to respond, you have four days to do so before you are skipped over.

Okay, not trying to make anything out of it, but doubling down (mentioning twice, nearly in a row.) of telling people to post quickly, or else. Might be a little silly if you made others wait around slightly longer than that. :P Once probably would of been enough, if you had to bring it up at all. :3

But question around that particular rule, what exactly does that mean? Does it mean if one replies you MUST get back to them in 4 days, no matter what? How exactly would that work if two characters were battling against each other? Can those two be posting literally pages before anyone else. And someone else hadn't posted for 5 days, but he hadn't been prompted so it doesn't matter? Usually I prefer, giving everyone a chance to post relatively evenly. If people over post, it can discourage people that feel that they are behind. Also skipped over how? So let's say if, two characters are having a conversation, if one doesn't post in a while, does the other person just ret-con the conversation? What happens if they come back to the RP after those 4 days? What do they post now that there last post has been ret-conned?

Because the way I have done role-plays in my highschool RP forum, when I had concern about inactive players, or simply active players needing to take a sudden leave of absence. I'd called them 'seamless RP's'. Which what that meant was, anyone's character that was inactive for a long period of time, or if someone said they'd be gone for several days. The 'GM' or someone else with the person's permission would simply 'control' their character's actions until further notice. This was to make the roleplay more natural and not have less active posters ruin the flow of the narrative. Unfortunately I haven't seen this tatic used since then, so I guess it was just 'our thing'.

Though, yes getting 'skipped' if you're the last person to post, doesn't make a lot of sense, and I'm still not exactly sure what skipping implies. It helps when rules/lore of the RP are clearly defined, especially if they're strictly enforced. :P

By "the end of the week", I meant Sunday (midnight hitting Monday, if you want to get specific). That's the end of the week, and so that's when I'd like to see a post from everyone for all of their characters by. At the rate we're going, it's not unreasonable - we're already picking up speed! I'm very excited to see things kicking off like they are already. Once everyone has posted, we'll have an established posting order, too, so that's fantastic!

@WispWell I figured you didn't mean anything by it, so that's why I didn't say anything, but after someone brought up any kind of deadline a second time...I thought it was a little ironic.

Though that's one thing I want to ask, established post order...now how exactly do you want this to work...sometimes the story will need others to post sooner or later depending on how the story goes. Literally creating a list of who posted in turn and waiting for the next person to post, I suppose I understand the "skipping" a little better now. But does that mean if someone posts out of turn it will be frowned upon?

@AimeChambers -- I'll write up something for Lance, if you don't mind. Question is, where would you like Ainsley to be found in / at? Just so I have a general idea on where to send Lance or where Lance will spot him.

@SleepingSilence -- Ah! I should've had pinged you for that instance. I started writing, and wasn't sure whom to ping and who not to ping (especially since it was first-post session, thinking everyone would see and read it), given that sometimes characters would just be talking about other characters. I shall keep note of that.

Hm. Wisp did mention posting within a week's time, so I'm guessing it's coincidence. (I'm sure they have already responded to you by now because I'm still writing this and more out.) I wanted to clarify the rule in case it came off as confusing, while they just kinda went ahead with their statement as sort of a reminder to everyone. I kinda do now come off as rude for doing such, so I apologize if that's the sort of message I sent. I only wished to clear things up and hoped that this rule didn't come off as a surprise to anyone. I shouldn't need to do "post a monkey at the end of your profile if you read the rules!" because, well, all should've read the rules. I shouldn't actually had to bring this up now that I think about it, but I was afraid that the rule was misunderstood due to wording. (Specifically, as stated before, the "your last post" portion. I believe I already explained why in the other post.)

I decided to throw the rest under the spoiler due to the amount I wrote.

I hope this answered your questions and concerns correctly. I am willing to adapt as seen fit, but I feel certain about the decisions and discussion presented.

@Dracogenius Alright and yeah I figured that you both didn't do it on purpose. That's why I tried to show I didn't take offense to it or something along those lines. It's not a problem, though you mostly are correct that you shouldn't/didn't really need to post a rule again. No I don't think it's too much to ask, for people to post things, in a remotely quick fashion or at least explain why you cannot. But that wasn't my point.

I appreciate the elaboration, certainly was a lot to go through. :P

Like I said. If you make the RP have a strict turn order. I understand the skipping idea, and how it would work. I've just never quite seen an RP force a turn order, though that certainly will stop over posting I suppose. So with 7-8 characters, you want each of them to post once. Then in the exact same order, 1 then 2 then 3 etc. To post one after the other. With the desired goal, being everyone should know whose turn it is to post...So until it is another persons turn, they wait up to 4 days until they can skip that person. That sounds, like posting could take quite a long while.

The only other question regarding that is, if one is skipped do they wait until it's 'there turn' again, So if 3 is skipped, does he wait until 4,5,6,7,8,1,2 have all posted again? Or post freely. I have a feeling most of these situations won't come up but I suppose it's best to know now.

Okay, so just as an example by those rules. After everyone goes, lets say two people in that turn order do not go, will everyone else really have to wait 8 days before the next can post a thing?

And let's say you, (being turn one addresses the last person in that order.) Do they really have to wait for 6-7 more people to post? A turn order seems like it would work better in a smaller scale, the more people we have, since you plan on having more join us. The turn order/having to wait four days, will slow this down to a crawl. Just by how I'm picturing it. I mean, if you use that rule, to use your single post effectively you'd probably have to use, every character you had, every single time. So for people with four characters...It just seems like this will cause some very bizarre flow problems. It is the beginning of the RP, so it's just speculation. I'll go along with it. So, where we are right now, one more person needs to post, so we have four days to wait for them.
