Alright, this 'game-thread' is a little idea/social experiment of mine. Here's the rules and idea: I, will write two paragraphs describing an alien race or community, etc. The next guy writes up two more paragraphs about the race, then two paragraphs about a different alien race. Next guy then writes up two more paragraphs about that one, and so on.

Edit: Each addendum to a previous ayylmao species requires a new alien species that somebody else can add unto. Not doing the "2 paragraphs to finish the old one, 2 more so somebody else can finish it" thing is punishable by intense memeage.

Please, no shitposting. Also, if this was in the wrong subforum, tell me.

We'll start with some ayylmaos based off of some aliens I played in Stellaris once.

The Cthadranians are a large people, similar to molluscs, but they can grow up to nine feet long. They feature three heads, six arms, and twelve tendrils on their rump for providing propulsion in the oceans of their homeworld. While dimwitted for a space-age people, they are unimaginably strong, with adults being able to rip apart personal ground vehicles with ease. They breed very rapidly, to the point that the Intergalactic Council is considering allowing for other races to use sterilizing weapons.

Their largest community, the Cthadranian Empire, is a despotic culture that uses mass slave labor to get things done. Technologically backwards, their abusive practices on their people are glossed over by the Intergalactic Council due to the fact they're one of the most reliable outputs for the production of valuable minerals. They control a total of four-hundred planets, spread across fifty systems.

(Now, write two more paragraphs about them. They can be about anything! Cthadranian superstitions, more biological details, their war machine, what they consider art, their culture, anything. Next, write up two more paragraphs about a different alien species and pass it on)

Cthadranians are an odd species, biologically. Some question how they managed to get as far as they did, with the way they function. An 'individual' Cthadranian is actually made up of six separate brains, with two personalities each. They are constantly at war for control of the body, which consists of six segmented tendrils based around a snake-like body, which contains lungs, the digestive tract and other vital organs. With the way the Cthadranian body functions, only one brain receives nutrient priorities - the others fight for this priority, often by strangling the dominant tendril to starve it of blood.

Cthadranian reproduction consists of a cycle much like flies, occurring once in their lives. They lay batches of eggs, although the young ones, once hatched, will fight to the death in order to prove who is strongest. Mating is violent and deadly...after laying her eggs in a protective clutch, the female dies from internal injuries, the male goes on to fertilize more females, until he is killed by a male attempting to impregnate the same female. Gestation time is roughly six weeks, from laying to hatching, and Cthadranians reach maturity at six years, often mating when they are forty to fifty years old.

Aren't games supposed to be hosted in the 'Spam' subforum?

(Knew I was wrong on where to post this, lel. I'll contact a mod)

Edit: Anyway, since Kio dun goofed, next poster should do two paragraphs on some new aliens but no more. Then next person finishes two more, then two more paragraphs on other new aliens. Got it?

We don't think that it is a terrible sin to have something like this in this section, so long as we don't flood it... But seeing how inactive it can be, that won't be a major issue.

Might be wise to have a "discussion" section in addition to the alien species.

The Slethebi are a species of aliens whose society is based around a hive mind. They are all part of a single whole, though not with the same queen-drone structure of a beehive. All are capable of reproduction, yet there are no individuals. As a society, they are neither xenophobic nor xenophilic. When they come across others, they do their best to replace those others, preferably through assimilation and parasitic conversion.

Their domain is vast, containing countless stars, yet they favor blue giants over main sequence stars when it comes to colonization. While they can live on anything from frozen worlds to those with open magma rivers, they prefer the latter and will gladly alter the world to fit those parameters, especially if there is a stubborn species already there.

The Slethebi have been noted to be one of the most visually pleasing races in an artistic sense, as long as you glaze over the sheer heat of their silicate bodies and their disturbing assimilative nature. Their long, slender frames are protected by thick chitin, which is somewhat transparent, with coloring ranging from 'deep-space blue' to 'ocean cyan'. They have a total of twelve thin legs supporting their bodies, which are divided perfectly into six segments, with eight eyes that glow in the dark.

Due to their advanced technologies, generally unnatural environmental tolerances, and simply gorgeous design, it's believed they're ultimately descended from an earlier race which died out. Theories abound, but most scholars believe that they are the children of genetically engineered specimens of that race which suffered from an interstellar scale apocalypse and have recovered. It is believed their 'homeworld' is simply the sole survivor of that event, and some members of the Intergalactic Council are toying with the idea of taxing them as the 'Super-Advanced-Species' they may technically be.

Alright, I contacted a mod and they basically said "Yeah whatever, it fits fine, not worth the effort to move it". Anyway, yeah, if you want to discuss anything about the thread, put it wherever but just note it's a 'discussion' thing.

The mysterious 'Xyenal Haluk' (In Common: "Border-Guarders"), were named as such by one of the Intergalactic Council Investigators sent to make contact with them. The Xyenal Haluk appear to be robotic sentiences that control a few planetoid scale mega-constructions across Council-Space, and are viciously protective of a seemingly random group of galaxies. While it's unknown who built them, the Xyenal Haluk's mobile mega-constructions have some of the most advanced jump drives in the known universe, easily being able to jump from one galaxy to the next in mere months, all to investigate reports of their 'Nemesis'.

The Xyenal Haluk's mighty 'Guard-Planets' are the strongest individual warships in all of known space, and appear to be constantly fighting some unknown 'Menace' the A.I. controlling them constantly refer to. Few details are known of the 'Menace', but it's obvious the war against them was, and is, extremely important for whoever built the Xyenal Haluk, as the weapons used by the Xyenal Haluk were banned several million years ago for sheer destructive potential by the Council.

Xyenal Haluk society is extremely structured and insular. Outsiders, wether organic or sentient in nature, are respectfully but forcefully discouraged from interfering with their grand works. Such incidental contacts have, apart from a few tragic miscommunications around the time of first contact, always been limited to diplomatic exchanges.

The guard-planets appear to be entirely self-sufficient, harvesting the resources required for their continued operation from gas giants and asteroid fields in unclaimed regions of space. Cursory scans of these giant structures has revealed their interiors to consist of thousands of miles of superconductor circuitry linking together thousands of processing units and memory banks.

I felt like expanding on the inner workings of how a society of sentient artificial planets would function in the greater universe.

The qulseoc are a highly intelligent species of amphibian mollusks originating from the ocean world of Krillen-3. They are relative newcomers on the galactic stage, yet their revolutionary technology and ability to incorporate existing knowledge flawlessly has seen them quickly rise to a major player on the galactic stage.

The typical qulseoc stands between 80 centimeters to a meter, though they often appear even smaller than this due to moving in what can best be described as a slimy crawl. Their bodies are brightly colored in a variety of hues dependent on their emotional state. As body color is an integral part of conveying emotion to a qulseoc they are somewhat infamous for their lack of clear intonation that is difficult to rectify even with modern translation software. Similiarly the qulseoc themselves often find themselves flabbergasted at the idea of conveying a range of emotions with one's voice alone.
