Hi there. My name is Ben, and I haven't done a play by post rpg in about...um...12 years. My roommate was raving about an old PBP game he was playing in and it got me a little excited about it. So, alas, here I am.

I would consider myself a casual gamer. I can write epic (long winded) posts, but I am also comfortable with short posts. I try to always play characters that feel more human, flawed, rather than overpowered (min-maxed) god characters. Unfortunately, my current workload is going to limit me to a post or two per day (more if more times frees up).

I am very open minded when it comes to genres...sci fi/cyberpunk, fantasy, steampunk....it's more about the role play and the story.

Anyone got any good recommendations for games to jump into? Anyone looking for someone to fill a niche in an existing game?

I don't have any suggestions for you right now but I echo the suggestion of looking through the Casual (or Advanced) subforums, including the Interest Checks, to see if anything catches your fancy. People will be understanding and encouraging if you politely explain that you haven't been in the saddle for 12 years and are eager to get your groove back on.

Mine too! There's plenty of sci fi and fantasy, honestly. Casual and Advanced sections have a fair amount of them. Any universes specifically? I would guess star wars is one lol.
