I just love how Laxion didn't have a clue about what politics but somehow found his way into an important position, so he reads a book and just repeats what it says and acts as if he's some sort of venerated sage that knows all.

@Rithy At the moment we're assuming that nothing will interrupt his journey to the battlefield. Like notMongols who don't like him or notBand- ah, or barely-disguised bandits who don't like him all that much. The mysterious hand of God is also somewhere in the mix

Thank ye! It took me a while as I had to revisit The Prince for inspiration, but finally finished :) glad you enjoyed it. I definitely recommend The Prince to anyone who hasn't read it. The Tim Parks translation is very easy to read.
