For a start, SM armour is meticulously maintained. The techmarine would send this guy for a decade in the pain glove for his disrespect of the machine spirit, honestly. Touch that up, and I would also note that he shouldn't be a sarg. That would put him above in rank of literally everyone bar Aemillius himself, and that's a bit of a no-no.

I get the armour thing but a Marine Sergeant is not really above an Inquisitor

"Higher than everyone bar X" means you are above everyone apart from "X". In this case, being a Space Marine Sergeant would put you above all the other players apart from Inquisitor Aemillius.

So he's saying you can't be a Sergeant because then you'd be able to boss erryone else around.

Thing is though that he is no longer a "Sergeant," he's an honour Guard so he is at the same level as... all his other honour guards I suppose, and he can't really pull chapter rank since his association with it is now minimised.

@Andreyich I hate to pull GM shenanigans this early, but please just make the change down to a regular battle brother. Being a sarg would put you above the other space marine, the sorotias NPC, the culexis assassin, and literally everyone else.

I may be interested in joining in, The Inquisition is hands-down my favourite branch of the 40k lore and Eisenhorn and Ravenor are my two favourite 40K novel series.

Man, that's awesome. I love the Eisenhorn novels, and bar Caiphus Cain, the characters are easily my favourite.

Never read Caiphus Cain yet, but I have wanted to read more Imperial Guard novels. Trying to find the rest of Abnet's Bequin Trilogy now.
