Hey everyone! I have tried this before, and it kinda worked out but because of some hectic schedules it fell off the radar for the most part. I was thinking about starting it up again because this place needs something like it. An RP that is just for you to have fun, no hard driving story, no worry for characters that fit in, no need to even be serious about it. I want to make (Again) an RP where you can go to just kinda let out your wild side. The first time around I had it more structured like the series FarScape in that the group was on a ship that pretty much had a mind of its own, but acted a lot like a five year old. Each character is actually a clone of their original, but unaware of this fact, which allows for character death to happen quite frequently , and by random means when I rolled a twenty that morning... or a five... or a seven-teen... kinda played it by ear. If things slowed down the ship would throw a tantrum causing someone to die, mostly in a hilarious way, and the best part is all that you would need to do is wake-up again in a random location thinking it was all some sort of dream... or was it??? It was loads of fun and helped me with writers block, so what do you think?

I will ask one question: What kind of setting do we want to try out this time?

Really? no one wants this? It is a great place to explore new play styles, hangout, and just have some fun. No big overbearing rules and guidelines to follow just some home grown, grass feed, organic, gluten free, vegan safe, non-dairy shenanigans! okay probably not vegan... sorry, but there will be vegan options!

Sounds great. I was about to suggest a setting when about five "serious" settings came to mind. This kind of reminds me of a tabletop RPG called Toon where the more ridiculous your action is, the more likely it is to succeed.
So when you see the words "Do not press this button"...

Also more people than just us two better join because I'm not a fan of 1x1, and this sounds awesome.

I can work with just about any setting, but I will more than likely change it to fit the laid back nature of the RP. I am really just asking for locations and things like that, that people would be interested in.

I personally love cyberpunk, but it strikes me as a little too dark for this sort of thing.
I do have one idea with some potential though...
Space opera!

I can see it, as if it were right before my eyes... A bunch of idiots, travelling through time and space...

Space Opera is the setting we used the first time, and it was great! It gives plenty of opportunity for shenanigans. About half way through our first run-about one of the players said that some life things had come up, and that he would not be able to carry on with the RP. He then gave me permission to do away with his character until he could return so something like this unfolded, forgive me the names of the characters are lost on me now.

GM response to player actions: "Guys, I'm getting board!" She shouts while pounding aimlessly on one of the control nearest her. "Pod door 7 open." read across the panels screen along with many other warnings from the other inputs. "Honey, no, please don't bang on the controls, you could hurt something." OTHER PLAYER said pressing a few buttons on the panel to correct the warnings.

Character to die: "Hello?" He called out among the seemingly endless corridors of the ship. As he made his way through one of the many bulk-heads he came upon a larger hallway area with three doors marked "Escape Pod" with sequential numbers on each. noticing that each pod door was empty he though it strange, but turned to continue down the hall when all of a sudden the bulk-head doors came crashing down. "Excuse me, what is the mean-" in that instance one of the pod doors opened sucking him out then closing again.

I'd be interested.

I might wait for another person to start this, but I will get working on the OOC.

Sorry for dropping off the face of the planet, things have been crazy at work. I will be trying to get the OOC up this weekend/coming week. Once we get going it will be smooth sailing.
