So I'm completely new to forum roleplays, forgive me for any errors I make. To make a long story short, I'm in search of advanced/semi advanced people who's be willing to do a Dishonored roleplay, me being the Outsider. (Not shipping him.) After getting my Facebook account nuked within an hour making it, I decided to join this roleplayer friendly site. I'd like for you to have at least played the first game. This is the first canon character I've ever tried to portray and given his elusive nature, roleplaying him will be challenging so please be patient while I try to work around that.. I'm a really chill and open person so let me know if you have an idea!

I should also add that I'm pretty busy in my life and I'm not on all the time, but if I can't reply for more than a few days, I will certainly let you know.

**disclaimer: I've played and beaten all the games, dlc, and carefully documented the outsiders behavior and speech. That being said, I'm human and I won't be able to roleplay him as he appears in the games all the time. I'll accentuate bits of him that stood out to me namely, his curiosity, boredom, interest in "low chaos" reactions, human emotion but not perception, etc. My Outsider might not look like your idea of him, don't hate me for that, we're all imperfect. OC's are totally fine as long as they fit into the lore/would canonically interest The Outsider.

I'd be interested. I've played through the first game but I haven't gotten around to playing the second. Either way though what direction were thinking about going on the RP. Alternate universe or continuation?

An AU would be pretty cool! It leaves us open to more creativity and it's a lot easier to work around. I'm open to OC's as well, so it could be a different timeline, even a different location! As for direction, I didn't think I'd get this far.. honestly, I'm just delighted that this caught any attention! I thought that Dishonored fandom was a lot smaller.. ^^'

Alright, I'm completely in love with Dishonored. I played the first game as soon as it came out and have beaten it multiple times since, getting all the special objectives and achievements along the way. I have all of the DLCs and I also have Dishonored 2. However, due to me having a PC it is absolute crap to play so I haven't. I have watched an entire play through, though.

Did you have any plots in mind?

Also, I absolutely love reading the Outsider's lines . . . it's the past thespian in me coming back out.

@The Nightcomer I've had my own mental story going of a kid with a deformity being cast out of a wealthy family into the flooded district.. time period unknown haha. But that's as far as it goes. I'm new to canon roleplay lol. And I LOOOOVE Dishonored so much. Favorite series.

@fluffyNES Ah, that sounds pretty cool! Would there be a group that would help him survive in the Flooded District? Maybe the Whalers?
And do you want the Flooded District to still be, well, flooded? Or do you want it to be before the walls broke or after Emily became empress?

@The NightcomerIn my mind, it's still flooded. To be more detailed, the kid is missing an arm and part of a leg. The Outsider gives more or less restores them, but they're made out of Void. All black and stony like. The powers are channeled in that way. A bit far fetched, I know. But my mind runs wild. They do find some allies though! But it's a very new concept in my mind.. I even have some of the powers lol

@fluffyNES Oooooh that sounds really intriguing actually. Would the allies also be marked?

@The Nightcomer I love the idea! Though canonically, very few have seen him, let alone bear his mark. But it in an AU type setting it could be more likely. Though in my mind, the allies don't hate the Outsider so it would totally fit!

@fluffyNES Orrr they could be like the Whalers, sharing the same power as Daud because he gifted it to them.

@The NightcomerTo me, late teens or early twenties, cast out of home around 11 or 12, so plenty of time to learn survival skills and pique the Outsider's interest and gain allies.

@fluffyNES Very true. I think early twenties would be a bit better.
So, what exactly would the plot be? We have the protagonist and their allies, but we don't have a reason for them to have allies. Are they trying to rejoin their family and then take over the family as the new matriarch/patriarch? Are they simply trying to get revenge and kill them? Or are they looking to be a Delilah and take the throne?

count me interested, man.

@The NightcomerThat's the part where I could use some collaboration.. in my head, the kid wants revenge for the family just dumping them because he/she "made them look bad." Wanting to just blow the place sky high and everyone in it. But as time goes on, childhood friends that work for them (I was thinking the family owned a well known textile company or something) show up, it's revealed they're basically into child slavery and that just blowing up the estate would mean the deaths of many innocents. So the kid has to figure it out from there on what to do. Smuggle them out? Find wealthy allies to buy out the business and clean it up? Kill the parents and take over? Just kill everyone? It gets a bit complicated trying to add more exact details as the story goes on.. lol. It's still in its earliest concept and we don't need to follow it word for word. I'm very flexible when it comes to wanting to discuss further plot. ^^

@McHaggisFunny thing is I'm not actually sure.. 😂 I'm used to one on one roleplays and am still really new to playing canon characters. I don't wanna get way in over my head..

So if we want allies and stuff, what's a good number of people to have while keeping things small and simple for me, a humble noob? Help me out guys, I'm new to this /sweats nervously 😅
