The sun has hardly risen in the Massachusetts sky, but the town of Coventry is already abuzz with activity. The Captain of the Coventry Police Department, Norman Holder, has assembled a small task force to apprehend the murderer of Sal Aldrich and Fiodora Valeska. It took detectives far longer than he liked, but he had finally obtained proof that Folly Valeska, the daughter of the second victim, was responsible for all of the acts. His unit was tasked with bringing the suspect in, and a press conference had already been scheduled.

That was at six hundred hours. By nine hundred hours, when the press' flash photography was practically blinding Captain Holder, Folly Valeska had not been apprehended. The task force returned empty handed, with the girl's father, Boris, proving to be no help at all. Grieving widow and whatnot. It was understandable. But with his hands curled into fists, the broad shouldered man faced an onslaught of press questions.

"At six hundred hours, an arrest warrant was issued for Folly Rozalia Valeska," Captain Holder announced gruffly, momentarily quieting the barrage of questions. "At this moment, the suspect is at large, and is to be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach the suspect if spotted. Instead, call the police hotline immediately. Rest assured, Valeska will be brought to justice, so help me God."

His eyes fell not on the reporters, but a solitary figure in the back. With pale skin and hair like a corpse, Captain Holder recognized Andromeda Aldrich instantly. The last of kin for Sal Aldrich. He had phoned her earlier that morning with good news--and now, the news he had was nothing but bad. If he was to be honest with himself, the longer it took them to find Valeska, the lower the chances were that they ever would. Carnies were like that. They were one with the wind. And Valeska was an acrobat, a tiny thing who flew on the trapeze. She could be in the trees, moving through the woods, for all he knew.

"A curfew will be implemented," Captain Holder added. "Police will be doing door to door searches beginning at eighteen hundred hours. Please be advised that we are taking this very seriously." His eyes flickered back to the back, searching for the familiar white hair. But Andromeda was no longer there.

"Damn it," Captain Holder muttered under his breath. But the reporter questions began to bombard him again. There was no time to go after the young woman.

Back at the hotel, things are more or less normal. Andromeda returns to the front desk while the press conference is still airing, looking a little worse for wear. She has a pile of photographs with her, and she sorts through them, with apparently no rhyme or reason to it. A child can be seen running up the stairs, vanishing curiously after the fourth floor. Anything beyond the fourth floor is closed to customers--the Aldrich family lives on the fifth.

As to whether you are at the hotel this morning, that is up to you. Perhaps you slept in. Maybe you watched the conference. Or you were there in person, listening to Captain Holder debrief the public on the latest exploits. Regardless of where you are, you may feel an eastern wind tickling your skin, and notice a heightened sense of paranoia. For a town that makes its living off of fear, the thought of a serial killer loose in its midst still carries plenty of shock value.

Oh, and my dears? There's a clue hidden in plain sight. Good luck and welcome to Coventry.

Seraphina Adams

Location: Coventry City Hall -> Coventry Horrors.
Interacting With: @Morose Andromeda Aldrich

Seraphina had gotten up early that morning, to go see the press conference trying to get any information for Andromeda just like any other client she wanted to find as much information as possible for her to find out what exactly happened to Andromeda's father. She was in the center of the crowd as her eyes wondered up to the captain of the Coventry Police Department, being a former officer herself seeing her own police chief making similar conferences to the press and the people as well. At first glance it seemed more like it was already and open and shut case. They knew who the killer was, but couldn't seem to find her Seraphina had been in Coventry for almost a week now, she had spent it getting settled into the hotel room Andromeda had given her and Emmie to stay in for who knows how long the case will take.

Once the press conference started Seraphina listened in for any details on the murders aside from what she had learned in town already, she turned her head seeing that Andromeda was there and then she turned around to leave. Seraphina wanted to talk with the police captain, however he seemed to be very busy dealing with the media. Seraphina closed her eyes letting out a slight sigh as she turned and started to weave through the group and head back to Coventry Horrors, just to talk with Andromeda and find out any other information.

Sera adjusted her jacket as she finally made her way into the hotel, her eyes scanning the room and spotted Andromeda over at the front desk. Sera gave Andromeda a soft smile as she started to make her way towards her she noticed Andromeda was staring at some photos as she approached her. Seraphina wasn't sure if those pictures were personal, or they were important to the case as she moved behind the desk and gave Andromeda a friendly pat on the shoulder. Seraphina gave Andromeda a soft smile as she looked at them for a moment before turning her attention towards her client. "Whats that you have there?" Seraphina finally asked.

Liam Matthews

Location: Streets -> Coventry Horrors, Room 113
Interacting With: Aloise Zamora (Probably) @Morose

A year or two ago, and Liam Matthews, the younger producer from CNN would've been clamoring along with all the other reporters in Coventry to just get some statement from the good Captain Holder. However, that was a different time, a different person. Instead, Liam was out and about, he'd been to make a deal earlier that morning, casually dealing with the supernatural as if it were nothing. In a way, it was nothing to him, when you'd seen Satan in the flesh seconds before he was killed in his attempt to end the world, well, let's just say that was pretty hard to top, even the scare of a rampant serial killer wasn't doing much to dispel Liam's current good mood.

Headphones on, Liam found himself somewhat lost in the music as he walked down the street, dancing in the open as others walked by, casting odd looks and sidelong glances in his direction as he made his way back to the hotel which for the time being he was calling home. He and Aloise had been in town for a while, and while he'd usually be eager to get back on the road, Liam was for once making himself as much at home as he could, even if Coventry was not the most welcoming or warm of places to be. Alas, it was good enough for Liam, he'd spent a long while soaking in what he could, and while he usually kept that to himself, keeping a harder demeanor to those around him, right now was one of those infrequent moments where he chose to let out a little bit of the old Liam. Alas, that was likely not to last, it was pretty rare that it did, and things in Coventry were about to get a lot more grim, after all.

Reaching the hotel, Liam hardly seemed to notice Andromeda or Seraphina over by the front desk, continuing his walking dance along and toward the stairs as he began to ascend. When he got to his floor he finally reached up, pulling the headphones off his ears and setting them around his neck as he moved to his and Aloise's room, taking a moment to unlock it before he moved inside. "I'm back!" He called out, having deliberately not told Aloise where he was heading that morning as he reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone to turn off his music as he set it and the headphones over on their shared desk.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Her Home ---> Outisde
Interacting With: No one

Eudora didn't know what she was expecting out of her new life here in Coventry. Did she really think she would've lived a quiet life? She rolled her eyes as another audible gasp sounded from the TV. A part of Eudora wanted to just switch off the TV and sleep this other nightmare away, but her insatiable curiosity kept eating at her and soon she couldn't resist it anymore.

"At this moment, the suspect is at large and is to be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach the suspect if spotted. Instead, call the police hotline immediately. Rest assured, Valeska will be brought to justice, so help me God."

"God? Bah, old fool," she muttered bitterly to herself while continuing to listen.

"A curfew will be-"

She had heard enough. She laid her head back and sighed as all the sounds returned to dull meaningless vibrations and then to total utter silence as the TV shut itself off. She straightened her head back and sagged her shoulders, already tired at the thought of the cops knocking on her door. She turned her head slightly, observing her still room hoping the familiarity of it will bring her calm.

The room was spacious, which was a trait that wouldn't last long. Already all that extra leg room was being eaten up by scattered scrolls and a large cauldron. She turned her head at the black pot and smiled, thinking back to old memories before wiping the smile off her face as bitter memories formed too. She shook her head to rid her of them and once again sighed. A hopeless and bored sigh of someone with nothing to do or with too much on their plate. Perhaps both. The silence started to pound on her ears again. She shattered it with a groan and sunk herself deeper into the armchair. She thought of moving again, packing up and leaving before it all started to crash and burn again. But what would be the point? Surely trouble will follow her no matter where she goes. Nothing to do but to grin and bear it but Eudora was struggling with both those actions.

She once again looked about her room, her eyes flicking towards a pile of tomes and a switched off TV, where a turquoise evil eye charm stared at her intently from the wall behind it, before letting her gaze fall onto the door. It was heavy and pretty strong, good nails in it too. You couldn't take it down with a swift kick. Or so she thought. It was all false hope really. She looked at the window next, and hoped that it was reinforced, she looked to the walls and hoped they weren't easy to tear down, she looked to the floor and hoped the neighbours would hear if she was in trouble. She sunk deeper into her chair, straightened out her legs and sunk her head into her jacket like a turtle as it finally dawned on her; she was scared.

She wasn't ashamed but rather annoyed by the fact she was scared. Why should she have to be sacred? She didn't want any of this. She didn't ask for such a horrible relationship between authorities and witches. She didn't want to have a murderer be on the loose. She didn't want to have to deal with the incoming horror show. But there she was, knee deep in an inescapable muck of trauma and sadness. She had to admit, though, there was a certain thrill to it all. It made her feel alive and young, powerful too. Maybe she'd the one to catch the culprit, be appreciated and world renowned. Go on adventures and snoop around with a magnifying glass like the immortalised detectives of the past.

A cold wind prickled her bare skin as she looked up at the ceiling and wrapped her shawl tighter around herself. Perhaps it was best to be a little cautious, though.

She got up from her chair, knees creaking like ancient wood. Despite being centuries old, age was finally getting to her. She waddled up to her front door, stepping out and giving her room one last look before closing the door and hearing her door lock behind her with an audible click. She bundled herself up in her shawl and went towards the stairs leading down, perhaps a brisk walk will lighten her mood.

As she begun to head down the steps, she turned her head upwards, looking at the way that leads up towards the 4th floor, above it would be the where owners lived. She knew it was out of bounds to residents, but then again, it wouldn't hurt to just check up on everybody, make sure they're ok, you know? Looking about timidly to make sure no one was around, she took a calming breath and started walking up. She took slow quiet steps upwards, careful to not make too much noise. She passed the 4th floor without paying any attention to it and continued moving upwards.

As she neared the top floor, a weight started to form on her shoulders, a cold sweat dripped from her forehead, her steps slowing and her heart pounding. She shouldn't be here, she wasn't some great detective with a snarky servant at her side. She was a weary old woman sticking her nose in things that didn't concern her, but still, just the wonder of what waited up there. She didn't know what she was expecting to see. A locked door? A bloody hallway? She raised her head up and peaked into the top floor for a split second, the image of what lay at the end of the staircase flashing before her for the briefest of moments before she bounded down the stairs in graceful, silent, yet hurried steps.

She reached the ground floor, panting slightly and her legs aching as she slowed to a walking pace. Dabbing the sweat off her with her shawl, Eudora walked through the front lobby, trying to look as innocent as possible while gliding past residents and staff. Abruptly, she stopped, looking out the swinging doors, feeling something she couldn't describe. Tiredness perhaps? Anticipation? Fear? Her dark shining eyes flicked to and fro, seeing all these faces moving past. She squirmed slightly in her outfit. The thin jacket, loose shawl, flowing dress, all in a dark chocolate brown you'd expect to see in a business suit or a discarded carpet. It all felt very wrong, was she meant to be here? To meddle in mortal matters? Was the universe punishing her for not living the way she was intended to? Eudora wanted to just strip off her clothes, let down her storm cloud grey hair, letting it reach her lower back and bounce with every step she took while she frolicked with the spirit of a deer.

But right now, in that AC conditioned room with her hair in a too tight of a bun, she didn't feel like a witch. She felt like an old woman. An old, tired, clueless woman.

For once, she stifled a sigh and just walked out in a disappointed silence.

Alexander A. Aster

Location: Coventry Horrors
Interacting with: A strange Child in the Stairwell

“A magician is strong because he feels pain. He feels the difference between what the world is and what he would make of it. Or what did you think that stuff in your chest was? A magician is strong because he hurts more than others. His wound is his strength. ”

Alex's fingers slowly folded over the page, marking his place in the book as he sighed softly, setting it on his nightstand. He'd read and reread that same line hundreds of time, and each time it gave him the same response. A strong twist in his chest and the ever-growing sense of longing, perhaps for the magical lands of Fillory to open their gates and welcome him, perhaps for the words to hold true, perhaps for him to forget the wounds that have festered for over a decade and a half. What if they had thrown the party Saturday? What if he had chosen Ihop of Denny's or any other fucking brunch restaurant in that massive hive of a city? What if they had gone to First Service like they always had? Would he still be an Orphan? Or is the Universe as cruel of a place that you can't escape it's decisions, and can at most merely postpone it's choices.

With an audible groan, Alex sat up and finished off the glass of oaky liquid resting on his nightstand, rattling the ice against the cup's edges as he gave a soft cough at the burn trickling down his throat. Stop wallowing asshole, this isn't your day to mourn. He whispered softly to himself, checking his watch and turning on the T.V. to the local news station, tuning in just in time to see the Police Captain Norman Holder begin his speech.

"Police will be doing door to door searches beginning at eighteen hundred hours. Please be advised that we are taking this very seriously."
Shit Captain, not the best way to start a day. He chuckled to himself humorlessly as he pulled on his light blue jacket, checking his hoodie's pockets to make sure his cigarettes were present. After doing a quick once over to make sure he had everything he needed on him, he locked the door to his room and left, making his way towards the stairwell. As he opened the stairwell, a child ran past him causing him to jump for a moment, before a comforting sense of warmth came to him, as always did around children. With a wide, genuine smile he called up to the child, who seemed to be standing still and smiling down at him, although the sound of quick footsteps still echoed throughout the stairwell.

"Hey bud, where are you headed?"
He called as he walked up the stairs towards him, his slight intoxication and general adoration for children distracting him from his original goal of destination. The child moved his mouth in response, however he seemed to be talking too quietly for Alex to hear him, before turning and continuing his quick path up the stairwell. With a gentle look of concern on his face, Alex continued to move faster up the stairs after the child. The boy seemed to stop and look down towards Alex at each floor, each time saying something Alex wasn't quite able to discern, and each time the look of Concern on Alex's face grew. He began to move a bit quicker, continuously looking upwards to spot the boy, and in his own rush he had stopped paying attention to the sounds around him, failing to notice that the footsteps had ceased two floors below him.

With genuine fear for the Child's well being showing as fear across his face, Alex's climb faced him with a door to the roof, which he stopped in front of momentarily before pushing through slowly. With confusion he looked across the mostly empty platform, the child nowhere to be seen.

Emmie Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors Room 308 -> Upstairs 4th Floor
Interacting With:@hagroden Alexander A. Aster

Emmie was sound asleep in her room, she didn't even notice that Seraphina had gotten up and left the hotel to go to the press conference in front of town hall. She slowly woke up a few minutes later as she started to stretch letting out a loud yawn and stretch as Emmie slowly got up from her bed. Emmie started looking around the room that Sera and her had been staying in for the last week, she didn't see Sera and assumed that Sera had left the room to go to that press conference that was going on. Emmie made her way towards her suitcase and started to search around until she found a hoodie and a pair of pants and some socks. Emmie carelessly tossed her clothes out onto the floor as she changed and adjusted her hoodie slightly.

Once she finished getting changed Emmie could hear some movement going on outside of the room and quickly made her way towards the door making sure she still had the key. Emmie caught a glimpse of a child as well as Alexander going down the hallway and headed up the stairs, raising an eyebrow as Emmie slowly started to follow behind Alexander making her way up towards the stairs.

"What are you doing exactly?" Emmie finally asked him as she saw him on the fourth floor which was Andromeda's residence in the hotel which was off limits to the costumers as Emmie leaned against the wall slightly eyeing Alexander as he made his way yo towards the attic, Emmie decided to follow after him just out of curiosity.

Another clue already, my dears? Why, you certainly seem to be rather keen...I suppose I shall strike an accord and offer you this. Once you have completed one clue, then another shall follow. One has already been set out for you, a bonus to entice you into this web of betrayal and deceit. Perhaps you want to know more about the town of Coventry. Only horrors await for you, so please do mind your step...The bodies have not yet been removed from the last slaughter. Go on, my children. Blood will lead you to your goal. Only blood.

As Alex climbed the floors of the building, the intoxication was greater than he expected. Nearing the fourth floor, he caught a better glimpse of the child. While he saw a young boy, alcohol blurred the truth from him. The child was a girl, around sixteen or fifteen years old, with long dark hair. She wore a scarf around her neck and vanished by the time Emmie found Alex on the fourth floor. And while he thought that he had chased the child to the roof, it was all an illusion. There is no roof access at Coventry Horrors. He had never left the fourth floor. Fortunately, no one will stop Emmie or Alex if they attempt to proceed farther. They will be able to climb the stairs up to the fifth, the sixth, and then the seventh. It is there that it becomes a bit curious. There is no other exit than the staircase, and dust coats most of the room. The attic can be accessed through a hatch in the ceiling, but a plank has been nailed across it. Conceivably, there is nowhere for the child to have gone.

Meanwhile, in room 113, Liam will hear the sound of water running. Aloise is currently in the shower, but her phone is on the desk, unlocked. Liam's been traveling with Aloise long enough to notice her phone locks after five minutes of inactivity. She can't have been in the shower long, and her voicemail box indicates there have been a few missed calls. Beyond that, the room appears to be normal in every respect. If Liam decides to use Aloise's phone, he better do it quickly. Another minute of inactivity and it will lock, closing his window of opportunity.

Exiting the hotel appears to be a rather complicated affair. As soon as Eudora has opened the door and stepped outside, she crashes into a tall and thin, emaciated looking man in a crisp suit. Sunglasses block his eyes from sight, as if there was somehow enough sun to justify wearing them. He offers Eudora an apology, straightening her shawl on her behalf, and smiling uneasily at her. "Madam," he then nods, before entering the hotel.

And at the front desk, Andromeda smiles slightly at Sera's question. It always brought a smile to her face when people were interested in selections from her private collection. These photographs had been sent to her by a friend, arriving by post a few days ago. She hadn't had a chance yet to go through them and determine where they would best fit. "Vintage photographs of the bizarre," Andromeda explained. The photographs all appeared to be highly unreal, the most peculiar things ever. However, one photo in particular will pop out to Seraphina. The photograph is of Folly Valeska.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Coventry
Interacting With: Mysterious Meddler in the Mischief of Magic (@Morose)

Eudora shuddered the moment she stepped out of the door, distracting her long enough to run head first into a stranger. The moment of impact was followed by a dull thud from Eudora, her shoes clacking against the tiles as she stumbled back, struggling to regain herself for a moment as she let out a muffled "ope". She looked back up at the person she bumped into, apologising profusely to the man even though he didn't seem harmed by it. His tall and powerful frame made Eudora wary of him, but he seemed nice enough. Helping her fix her shawl and wishing her well before he went in the building.

For a few seconds, Eudora stood in the crisp air, trying to hide her burning cheeks while hoping that no one saw that embarrassing exchange. A cold wind that sliced through her cooled her face and ran a shiver up her spine as a memory flooded into her. She vaguely remembered a man like him, tall, mysterious, wearing full black. She also remembered they weren't particularly pleasant either. Barging into her store without warning and snooping around when not given the permission to. She turned back towards the door, her expression souring and her posture straightening as she walked back in and walked straight towards the man. She reached her hand out to tap him on the shoulder but curled her fingers back towards her. What if he wasn't the man she thought he was? As a safety measure, Eudora sweetened her tone and lightly tapped him on the shoulder, following up with a "Excuse me, sir. But have we met before?" in her most unassuming of tones. Her silent rage powered her strive for justice and insatiable curiosity within in a raging war of emotions. But on the outside, she was just a plain weary old woman.

Seraphina leaned forward looking at some of the pictures that Andromeda had showed her they seemed to look pretty old and really creepy in a way, as she looked at them for awhile Seraphina found one in particular to be really interesting to her. She grabbed the one of Folly and brought it up closer, Seraphina started inspecting the picture before sliding it over towards Andromeda for her to look at. "How old are these and when were they taken or who had taken them?" Seraphina asked, the one of Folly was interesting to her and could possibly be tied into the case. Sera knew that Folly was the suspect of the murder of Andromeda's father.

"That one right there, not sure but I think that is of Folly Valeska." Seraphina wasn't sure still if Folly was the one who actually committed the murders or not, but it seemed like it was a good enough clue to actually look into. Seraphina then turned her head to look up she saw Liam coming in from outside dancing around apparently to some music, she didn't get that much time to talk to the man lately Sera did remember that he and Aloise were arguing of something awhile ago. Then Sera looked over towards the stairs and saw Eudora coming down from the stairs and quickly made her way out of the door of the hotel. Sera didn't get much time to get to know the elderly woman since Altsoba, Sera ended up being busy with her own research earlier. "Anyway, do you mind if I hold onto that photo for a bit? I'll give it back to you don't worry." Seraphina said towards Andromeda with a soft smile.

Hearing the shower running, Liam shrugged as he set his phone down, glancing over to hers. Noticing it was unlocked, he realised she must have only just gotten into the shower. Normally he wouldn't have cared that much, however, the collection of missed calls caught his attention, for there to be a fair few after she'd been in the shower for just a short period of time. Reaching down toward it curiously, he picked up the phone, brushing his thumb over the screen to make sure it didn't lock in his hand. Looking at the numbers, he checked it briefly to see if ti was one he knew.

Having spent so long together on the road, Aloise and Liam didn't spend a lot of time apart, so they tended to know the same people if it was someone he didn't know his interest would've only been piqued further. He didn't consider the invasion of privacy he was really going through, Aloise had probably been through his phone before to make sure he wasn't selling anything too dangerous, so he figured it wasn't that big of a deal, after all.

Closer and closer, my dears, you are coming closer and closer to the first bit of the puzzle of Coventry. Allow me to tell you a little bit about the history of our fair city. There is a far more famous Coventry, located in England. Yet if our town's true story was to be known, then that tale of treachery and German bombs would seem to hardly matter. There is a darker story that dominates Coventry, on this day especially...Do you know that December 28th is the unluckiest day of the year, my dears? There's a reason for that.

In the lobby of the hotel, the gentleman with the suit and glasses will smile pleasantly back at Eudora. It is the same man she ran into outside, only he wasn't one of the agents who visited her shop in New Orleans. They belong to the same organization, but this agent is entirely oblivious as to who she is. "I don't believe we've had the pleasah," the man replies, sticking out a hand. "Did you need somethin'?" He smiles at Eudora a bit uneasily, but there is no recognition in his eyes. The only thing that is apparent is the thick Boston accent.

But at the front desk, Andromeda nods a bit, glancing at the photograph. It does look exactly like Valeska, and she frowns, as if this hasn't been the first time to see a coincidence like this. "It dates to around 1924," Andromeda explained, "give or take a few years. I'm not sure who took this, or where, to be honest..." She paused for a moment, strumming her fingers on the desk. "It's possible we could figure out the photographer from the style, I've got my private collection up on the fifth." Andromeda then reached under her desk, and fished out a master key. She tossed it to Seraphina, and nodded at her. "Keep it--and the photograph, too."

When Liam scans through the numbers, he'll notice that it's really just the same number. Just one person has been calling Aloise without response. The number is 011 44 788 123 4567, which Liam will recognize as a caller from England. He may suspect that the number belongs to Jade Cornish, the British devil-slayer who left the United States after the Altsoba massacre, but it isn't certain. Jade hasn't been in contact with Liam himself. The only way to know for sure who that number belongs to is to call it. Aloise's still in the shower, but she's an ex-marine. She won't be in there much longer.

Meanwhile, up on the seventh floor of the hotel, Emmie and Alex are lurking about. Neither of them has made an attempt yet to access the attic, but Alex is swaying back and forth. He's talking deliriously and stuttering at the same time somehow, going off about the boy he saw. But a moment later, he falls to the ground, staining the floor with blood. A bullet has imbedded itself in his chest, and from the relative silence of the shot, there was a silencer on the gun. When Emmie looks for the shooter, she won't see anyone--but she will notice a dumbwaiter behind her.

Seraphina watched as Andromeda's fingers strumming against the top of the front desk, listening to her though sadly there wasnt a location where the picture was taken, but a date was good enough. Then Andromeda handed her a master key to the place Sera gently took both of the picture as well as the key putting them into her pocket, grateful for them and gave the woman a smile. "Thank you, I'll get to the bottom of this." Seraphina reassured Andromeda she gently gave the woman a gentle pat on the shoulder. "I'll be searching up there, if you need me or want to help you can."

Seraphina then turned around and started to make her way up to her room first to check up on Emmie and make sure that she was alright as well. She started to head upstairs and made it to the third floor, Sera unlocked the door and started to look around for her seeing Emmie wasnt in the room made her worry. But Seraphina knew that she was also very capable, and probably decided to explore the town or something like that as Sera set down her jacket onto the bed she would take out the picture once more and decided to turn it over onto the backside to see if there was anything written on the back as well.

Emmie Adams

Location: Upstairs 4th Floor

Emmie stood at the entrance to the fourth floor as she just stared at Alex seeing the man starting to stutter and talking about some weird boy that he saw. Emmie didn't see a child at all as Emmie was about to walk over towards him to give the man a tap on the shoulder, she didn't hear anything only seeing that Alex had suddenly fallen onto the ground. Emmie instantly covered her mouth to hold back a scream seeing Alex's chest starting to stain with his blood, some of it started to stain the carpet as well.

It did bring up the night when she saw her parents dead in their bedroom all those years ago, Emmie quickly started to look around to find a place to hide. Emmie's eyes wondered over to find a dumbwaiter right behind her, and quickly made a mad dash towards it and climbed inside of it. Emmie closed the door to the dumbwaiter covering her mouth as best as she could and tried her best to keep her breathing down, remaining as still as she could within the dumbwaiter looking around inside of it.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Apartments
Interacting With: O.M.E.N. Agent (@Morose)

Eudora felt a little disappointed that the neither of them recognised each other. She was slightly hoping for some epic clash, a battle of the wits or at least a glint of shock in his eye. But no, nothing. Eudora paused for a moment, her eyes flicking around as she went oh in her head. But ah! Perhaps he was lying, maybe this was just a trick to throw her off the scent. She looked back at the man, the corners of her mouth curving into a slight smile as she saw that the man truly had no idea who, or what, she was. But then, an idea sprang to her head. She realised her opportunity to squeeze out information out of him, to do some proper snooping like a real detective.

She cleared her throat and went on, "Ah well, I didn't expect you to. Frankly, I don't even know who you exactly are, but I do think I know who you work for. If I'm not mistaken, you're a part of O.M.E.N. correct?" She flicked her eyes upwards to meet his, she wasn't trying to threaten him but rather give him a sort of wink to let him know that she knew. That she knew about the other world, the organisation, and so on. She continued - her voice calm, even, and clear, but not loud enough to let others eavesdrop - "I've had a run in with your people in the past, so naturally I'd be curious to know what brought your group here too,"

Her posture was straight yet lax, her expression calm but there was a sensation of giddiness that lay underneath. "Was it the murder? Or the timing of it?" she gave him a mental wink again as if to say, "Don't bother lying." She knew after all. She knew of King Herod, she knew of the secrecy of numbers and importance of dates. All those years spent mulling over tomes finally paid off.

Right now all she wished she had done was look into buying a deer-hunter's hat.

Liam Matthews

Location: Coventry Horrors, Room 113
Interacting With: No one

Looking over the number, Liam took a few moments to run through his mind who it might've been. It wasn't anyone in Aloise's phone, otherwise the number would've had a name, so it couldn't have been any of their usual contacts or a friend of theirs, it was probably something to do with business, that was Liam's guess anyway. It took a brief bit of reasoning for him to narrow down his assumption that it may have been Jade Cornish, though he wasn't about to test that theory by calling the number, not when Aloise would likely be getting out of the shower in a minute or two, anyway. Switching the phone back to its home screen, he locked it again and set it back where he found it as he moved over to the mini-bar, not too concerned over whether or not she would know he'd looked in her phone.

Opening up the mini-bar, Liam fished around for a few moments before he found a beer, one of the many they'd stocked it with. Taking a comfortable hold of the cold glass bottle, he reached over to his keys to use the bottle-opener on them, popping the cap off and taking a long drink, letting the soothing and bitter taste run down his throat as he swallowed and moved to sit back on his bed, letting out a comfortable sigh as he put his feet up, content with how the day had gone thus far as he flicked the TV onto the news, more or less expecting to see the same sort of news coverage which had been on before as he got settled and waited for Aloise to finish up with her shower.

A spirit climbs my spine to the brain
Following the rail-road tracks down again
I needed space with soul, maybe we can die there
Maybe we can...

Stop.
I'm already dead
Stop.
I'm already dead

As Seraphina turns over the photograph and inspects it, she'll notice a faded word. It isn't English or anything that she has come across before. Enhancing the image with a camera or a magnifying tool of some sort, Seraphina will read amirya. There's a smudge that seems to be where the initials of the photographer had been. A lab of some sort would be able to examine it, potentially, but it'll take a few days to get results, unless Seraphina has connections in the area to a crime lab.

Emmie safely makes it inside of the dumbwaiter. It is a bit strange, however. There isn't a speck of dust inside of it, despite it not being used by the hotel in years. If anything, it looks like it has been maintained well and been put to use recently. If she uses her phone or something else as a light, Emmie will notice a long brown hair. It isn't hers, obviously, and it isn't Seraphina or anyone else's either. It'll only take her a moment to realize whom the hair must belong to--the vanishing shooter.

The O.M.E.N. agent looks a bit surprised at first, but then pulls Eudora aside. He casts a watchful glance from side to side, to confirm that they cannot be overheard, before sighing ever so slightly. This clearly wasn't something he was briefed entirely for. "Winchestahs, the O.M.E.N. leadahs, were found dead," the O.M.E.N. agent admits. "Whoevah killed Fiodoha and Sal, they killed our guys. Demonic activity is looking pretty good at the moment." He then shoved his hands into his pockets and kicked at the ground ever so slightly. "The locals got it all wrong, arresting some kid...But the girl knows somethin'. My job is to find her before the cops do."

The television doesn't have too much on, but while channel flipping, Liam will come across a news report from the BBC. Rupert Cornish, the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, is hosting a press conference to announce his new appointment for Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service. There's much speculation about who will get to fill the position, with a few familiar names being tossed around, all of them having decorated military careers. However, one of the suggested appointments reeks of nepotism. But before long, the report changes, and Aloise emerges from the shower, dressed in a smart power suit. "Come on, we're playing FBI agents today."

Seraphina Adams

Interacting With: @MoroseAloise Zamora & @Pundii Liam Mathews

As Seraphina looked over the picture's backside she could notice the small smudged writing on one of the corners, she walked over towards the bed and took out her phone. She went tow the camera app on her phone and zoomed in on the wording, Sera saw the word 'amirya' She didn't know what it actually meant it could be a name, or it could be just a simple word. She saw the smudged signature but she couldn't make that readable Seraphina did have old cop contacts when she used to work as an officer before deciding to go into the PI business. However they weren't anywhere close to Coventry and knew that it would take several days to be sent out and then several more days for it to have any results. The closest to maybe a possible lab would be here in town, but Sera didn't know anyone in town she could maybe talk to Captain Holder.

The only people that Sera trusted in town was Aloise and Liam, who were in the same hotel as she was and decided to ask them Seraphina turned around and started to head out of her room maybe Aloise or Liam had seen Emmie as well. Seraphina started to head down the second and then the first floor, she looked a the room numbers until she finally stopped in front of Room 113. Seraphina stood outside of the room for a minute before knocking on the door holding the photo in her pocket hoping that the two of them were in the room currently.

Emmie Adams

Location: Upstairs 4th Floor
Interacting With: A very dead Alexander A. Aster

Emmie was still trying to calm herself down as she sat in the dumbwaiter she looked around as she noticed that there wasn't a single spec of dust in the dumbwaiter she was in. Emmie wasn't even sure if the coast was clear or not yet, she slowly took out her phone knowing that the only person who could help her was Sera. The screen on her phone turned on lighting up the dumbwaiter more, seeing that she was right that it was still pretty much clean.

As Emmie slowly scanned her phone around her eyes caught a very, very small shimmer of light she leaned forward and picked up the small strand of brown hair into her fingers. It was brown from what she saw, of course it wasn't hers she was blonde and it wasn't Sera's she wouldn't have had a reason to come up here. And Andromeda's was pale white, Emmie was tempted to make a call to Sera but knew if she did then it would most likely end up catching the attention of the shooter. Emmie slowly leaned her head forward leaning it up against the door of the dumbwaiter to see if she could hear anyone on the other side.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Hotel
Interacting With: O.M.E.N. Agent (@Morose)

Eudora followed the agent without much fuss, letting her protests drown in an endless sea of burning curiosity as she leant in and listened. She let a small gasp, almost too quiet to hear, as the agent revealed everything to her. "Demon activity? Are you sure? I wouldn't expect them to go after someone who's frankly not all that powerful," her voice took a hushed tone as she straightened up and cleared her throat, her eyes still wary of onlookers. "But then again, demons are a fickle sort, who knows what they're planning. That poor girl, getting roped into all of this," she sighed at the memory of her, even though there was a chance she really was a murderer, having to hide constantly at the slightest suspicion is never a good state to be in. Eudora learned that from experience.

Before the agent could leave, Eudora tugged at his sleeve, beckoning him to remain still. "Perhaps I could help you! I may look like someone's granny but in actuality, I'm a very senior witch. I could be a great asset," she looked up at him, her posture still loose and cool but her voice taking an excited edge. Eudora didn't know why she wanted to help these people, but she knew that she wanted to help. Perhaps it was just the right thing to do, maybe she was just bored. Whatever it was, she was going to make this man let her help.

Liam Matthews

Location: Coventry Horrors, Room 113
Interacting With: Aloise Zamora @Morose

As he flipped it to the BBC, Liam left the television as it was for a few moments, setting down the TV remote as he leant back against the bed-head, waiting for Aloise to come out of the shower once she was done. Glancing over at her as she came out of the bathroom, he raised an eyebrow at the suit and her comment. "Oh good, I just had my suit pressed." He said as he moved to stand up and went over to their closet. Shrugging his shirt off, he tossed it aside as he began to fish through it for his suit, taking it out and slipping his button shirt over his shoulders as he heard the sound of the knocking on their door.

Glancing over toward Aloise again, Liam gave her a grin as he started doing his buttons up. "You mind getting that? Don't have my badge." He said, continuing to work on getting his suit on, not particularly phased over getting changed then and there, it wasn't exactly like anything was on display, anyway. Liam had taken to playing roles well enough, he wasn't an expert, certainly not to the degree that an experienced hunter such as Aloise was. However, he'd had time to work on it, and at the very least, he'd managed to be passable.

"Come on, man," Aloise gripped, rolling her eyes. While she didn't see anything, she couldn't help but be slightly annoyed at Liam changing right then and there. Especially if she was going to be getting the door--it'd only shatter their facade of respectability. But truthfully, it only bothered her slightly. Peering through the peephole, Aloise's face fell into a frown. "It's Sera," Aloise said quietly, before opening the door and ushering the Fallen Angel inside. As much as Aloise was happy to see her friend, survivors of the Altsoba massacre turning up in the same place couldn't mean anything good.

As Emmie presses her ear up against the dumbwaiter, she doesn't hear anything from within the room. Everything is quiet. No one else seems to have been with her and Alexander, and within a few moments, Emmie will come to the only logical conclusion. The shooter had been inside of the dumbwaiter, yes--and they never left during the murder. It would have only taken them a second to shoot Alexander, another second to escape to a different floor, and a final second to return the dumbwaiter to the seventh floor where Emmie was. A closer inspection will reveal that the dumbwaiter only goes up into the attic--the path for it to go down is blocked with cement.

The O.M.E.N. agent nodded, rubbing his forehead slightly. It wasn't within their protocol to constantly seek out the help of witches, but Eudora had helped out the organization before. He figured it had to be fine, then--otherwise, he could just as easily blame his superior. And it wasn't like he had any better options--the longer they took to find the kid, the more hopeless their chances of understanding this situation would become. "Listen, can you work a trackin' spell?" the agent asked. A witch like Eudora would know several variations on tracking spells. "Worth a try, right?"

Seraphina Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors.
Interacting With: @MoroseAloise Zamora & @Pundii Liam Mathews

Seraphina stood outside of the door for a few minutes then she could hear Aloise's voice on the other end, then a few seconds later her friend opened the door. She gave Aloise a friendly smile and then pulled her into a quick hug as she stepped into the room, Sera looked around seeing Liam getting himself changed. "So whats up with the suits, how are you by the way Liam?" Seraphina asked as she turned around to face Aloise, then she remembered why she had came for two reasons. She wasn't sure if Aloise was actually interested in her case or not, but Aloise was another person she trusted and considered a good friend. Seraphina took the picture out from her pocket and showed it towards Aloise, looking at her friend.

"Andromeda lent me this, its a picture of Folly Valeska dating back around 1924." Sera said as she took out her phone and did a quick search finding a more recent picture to Aloise and looked at her, since Aloise knew more of the supernatural then she had from her own research. "Do you know of any races that don't age?" Sera then started to think about Emmie she started to get worried usually she would have texted by now. "Also have you seen Emmie anywhere?" Seraphina asked looking at both Liam and Aloise wondering if they had seen her anywhere in the last few hours.

Just as she had asked that Seraphina heard footsteps going down the hallway then she caught a glimpse of Emmie as she ran past the room before stopping and seeing Emmie quickly running over towards Sera into a tight hug. "Never mind." Sera said jokingly. "Whats wrong Emmie?"

Emmie Adams

Location: Upstairs 4th Floor
Interacting With: Seraphina Adams, @Morose Aloise Zamora & @Pundii Liam Mathews.

Emmie didn't hear anything after awhile she slowly then opened up the dumbwaiter looking around she came to the conclusion that the shooter had gone through the same dumbwaiter she had gone to seek shelter in when Alexander was shot. Emmie was smart though if that was the killers escape route and she would go up there, she would most likely end up getting killed as well. Emmie quickly climbed out of it, the attic can wait she would go up there again later to find out whats up there. Emmie looked down at the now dead Alexander feeling bad for the guy. Emmie quickly ran out of the floor and started going down the stairs.

Emmie started running down the stairs back to the third floor, she had to go and tell Sera what happened when she got to her room Emmie didn't see Sera there still frantic. Emmie left the room and headed back down towards the first floor she ran past some rooms just as she saw a door open Emmie ran past it for a second before catching a glimpse of Seraphina, Aloise and Liam in the room. Emmie ran up towards her friend and hugged her tightly looking at the other two as Sera asked what was wrong.

"It's Alex, I was up on the fourth floor I saw him heading up there to see what he was doing. When I got up there, I asked him why he was there. But when I did he just dropped dead!" Emmie said trying to calm herself down.
