Felix Dromas

"All the more reason to survive this." Felix smirked masking the desperation of the situation with a bit of flirting. He ran, easily keeping up with Eve. It seemed she was well above even career athletes, but Felix had his cybernetics. Of course, that wouldn't be enough to get away from this thing. It was certainly faster than either of them, though perhaps not quite as maneuverable.

"How do you expect to do that!?" He shouted back, briefly considering splitting up. That way, it'd be a fifty percent chance that the creature would chase Eve instead...Then again, she was easily the closest thing he had to an ally at this point even if it had literally only been for a minute or two. "Wait, I've got an idea!"

In an attempt to lose the monster, Felix primed a flashbang grenade and tossed it back. The beast slowed down slightly to investigate the object.

"Cover your ears!" Felix shouted as he did exactly that. The bright flash and loud bang seemed to disorient the beast for a moment, causing it to stumble into a tree. In that time, the pair managed to gain some distance before it recovered. It didn't last long, however, as the beast continued the pursuit the moment it recovered. Had it not been for that momentary distraction, there was almost no doubt that they would have been caught.

The sound of gunfire caught Felix's attention. The smoke in that direction indicated another crashed block. "If we can't kill it, and we can't lose it, we'll have to make it someone else's problem!" Felix said shamelessly.

It was good that the Tulak did not respond aggressively - violently. Lea would have to force her hand once more to protect her own. While caution still plays in her actions, Lea strode forward. They were small steps, meant to not alarm the woman and have her jump on her with ill intents. Psychology wasn't something she majored at but she had to learn more about it before she entered The Alcatraz. Even with the anti-aggression barrier that prevented them from attacking her, she could not afford to be more careful.

As Shaali replied and inclined her head - a show of respect she assumed - Lea allowed her signature lazy smile creep up on her face. To show that she wasn't planning on acting on harming her, assuming that the Tulak knew what horrible things one can do with her kind of attunement, she slid her hands inside her pockets. No skin contact means no harm done, perhaps this was something that was done in exchange for the destructiveness they could cause.

"I only seek company, Shaali." Her reply only came a beat later, calm and sincere. "In a place so unfamiliar, there's nothing else I would like more than someone, or something, I am certain of." A fact that may either be true to all, or true to her only. It would be obvious that she was not seeking protection in a form of another being, she would never have approached her if that was the case. Lea would have let the criminal be as a criminal housed in The Alcatraz would probably be as dangerous as anything else on this planet.

She stopped once she was in a comfortable distance from the woman, far enough for both of their needs for personal space but close enough that they would be able to act together should any threats arise. "It is good to see another living being too." She thought that it would be better to perhaps wrap the fact that she had killed the first one she had ever encountered by advancing his disease and in turn, rupturing his organs one by one. She didn't think that fact would settle well with anyone she would accompany.

"So, what do you say? Shall we accompany each other?" Like most of the time, her voice is not commanding. It was one that usually seeks permission, just like right now. Lea was not assertive in nature, that trait belonged to her brother. She had come in terms with that fact and it hasn't hindered much of her progress. After all, a lot of people don't say 'no' to a Bursmir. At least, on Earth, that was applicable.

Keeran

@heckno12@rune_alchemist@lissalu@zahir@polaris north

With a quick step forward and a sudden move around, Keeran managed to get behind Kay'Gan. He grabbed hold of Kay'Gans arm and back and in one swift motion he forced his arm back into socket. With a loud pop and cry of pain, Keeran smugly took a step back happy with the result. Keeran wiped his hands off on his pants, still thinking if what he should do with this man. Granted, the thought did occur that he could just get up and leave. Keeran did not even really have to deal with all this mess, but something did worry him. the wild animal that attacked him came out of nowhere, and Keeran was willing to admit only to himself that he got lucky killing the beast the way he did. The thing was fast, strong, and he was sure that those spikes could have ripped out his throat if given the chance. At worst Keeran thought he could use this man in case they were attacked again, willing to throw him away at the earliest chance if needed. He did not want to "team up" but he felt like if he tried to assert dominance this man would rebel. Keeran sighed and rubbed his eyes. This whole debacle was insanely stupid, why did he have to be here away from earth. Earth troubles sucked enough, now he had to be on another planet dealing with even more bs. What did he do that was so bad, besides killing some people, stealing some stuff, some other stuff he did not want to think about.......

Keeran looked at Kay'Gan. "Call me Keeran. I am going to call you K, simply because Kay'Gan is annoying and quite the mouthful. I am going to lay it out on the table, This planet is batshit crazy. If you wanna follow me around you can, I promise *whispers* Kinda *speaks in normal voice* that if you do and something attacks I will have your back so long as you have mine. If you do not want to you don't have to, just don't get in my way. I need to better equip myself and get the lay of the land better, so I have going to try to find the bulkhead of the ship."

Keeran turned around and looked towards the big billowing smoke that seemed to be on the other side of the world from where he was standing. He could barely make it out through the tree's but it was still obvious.

"If you follow me, watch my back. If you get hurt I can heal you just don't die because I cannot heal death. That is kinda more permanent."

Kay'Gan didn't move his head though his eyes watched as the male moved behind him. He wasn't going to show the stranger what he was capable of just yet. As he felt the male's hands go onto him. Feeling the left arm of his get shoved back into the socket. Kay'Gan tensed up right at the  same moment it was popped back into the socket. He hissed and clenched his teeth. This pain was new to Kay'Gan for he never had a limb out of the socket before. Rubbing the wound still it stung somewhat as he rubbed it to make it feel better. Which probably will irritate it in the end.
Looking over his shoulder at the male Kay'Gan had a look of annoyance though of thanks as well. "Thank you..." Kay'Gan mumbled as he rubbed the left shoulder a little more.

Listening to the male's paragraph of words almost. He titled himself at Keeran he titled his head to the name as he then heard he was going to be called 'K' he puffed out some air and crossed his arms at this. It didn't really bother Kay'Gan new nicknames were fun. . .it could've been taking a different turn for a nick name. "Well, Keeran yours is a mouthful too." Kay'Gan innocently smiled. "So, I'll call you Ke just so people don't get confused if we both call each other 'K' ." He chuckled at this. "K-one and K-two." He seemed amused on what he just thought of. "Oh, Darling boy." Kay'Gan says as he circles Keeran he smiles and then slides his hand against the other male's chest and grabs his shirt collar. His voice , attitude and facial expression become serious. "I won't follow you. I'm not a follower. I will walk beside you. Now please understand. I wouldn t rather playthe kitty kat and mouse roles...I don't roll like that. I'm not a sheep and I know by that look in your eye from earlier you know I'm not. I do gave teeth. I'll bite if I have too." He shook his finger at Keeran in a 'no, no ' way. He innocently smiled then let go twirled around and walked a few feet away.

As Keeran stated he wanted to find the Alcatraz . . .if he was looking, he would've seen the smoke but, then he moved around shuffling his feet around and looking into the other direction. Kay'Gan nodded his head knowing the male noticed the large cloud of smoke rising off the planet. "Well, master. Lead the way. I won't call you leader so if you want another nickname speak now or forever hold your tongue!" Kay'Gan excitedly through his hands up in the air as he said those words with a giant smile on his face he seemed full of energy out of the blue. Shaking his finger in a 'no' way again. "Ah, ah, ah. . . I won't follow you love. I'll be right beside you or above you. " Kay'Gan winked then jumped up grabbing onto the tree branch and hoisting himself up."Death isn't something you can redo. . . now I really hope you don't go die on me. We both know and I'll say it. We need each other for now. Maybe not late . I won't be doing any tricky business. I don't kill unless you attack first or somebody pays me." He then bowed at Keeran and smiled brightly "Now my beloved person of directions which way do you prefer to go? North, south, east, west, or towards the giant smoking ship off in the dramatic distance of this dangerous and life taking land?" Kay'Gan questioned as he leaned up against the tree as he stood on a thick branch and looked down at Keeran waiting to see if he wanted to make any big plans and objectives for them.

~Eve~

@Heckno12

How to do that? Easy. It was a large creature, they just had to find somewhere that it couldn't get. A cave, ravine, or some sort of incline that it couldn't travel down without sliding down while they could. Alternatively, if they could find something to distract it with or if there was something bigger than it...Eve simply wore her usual playful expression as she thought of a number of ways to deal with this problem. All she had to do was outrun it until then...or shoot felix and let the beast have him.

A last resort option.

A beep on her NLF brought a small display up warning her of a flashbang as soon as Felix said cover her ears. Well then, she did exactly that. The loud flash and bang didn't affect them much, and gave them some much needed room between them and it. Well, it was a temporary solution. Come on, there had to be something! She hadn't survived all these years and didn't get a little clever! As she ran from the beast, she glanced upwards towards the skies, noticing the gunfire just as Felix had. Well, if it was food it was after...

"If that smoke is anything to go by, there's another Cellblock in that direction that looks close enough!" Eve shouted, only giving Felix moments to react as she made a sharp turn towards the direction of the smoke. "If we're lucky, we might run into some other people on the way there it's more interested in!" Judging from the large column of smoke rising from the direction, there was more than a small fire burning. Unsurprising, really. Either something exploded or some attuned got a little frisky.

It took some more running, but the sound of gunfire eventually started getting louder as the pair made a run for it with the behemoth right on their tail.

"Well I guess for us to be lucky, someone else has to be really unlucky." Felix said as the two ran. He turned on a dime to follow the woman. The beast seemed to have the slightest bit of trouble taking the sudden change in direction because of the muddy jungle floor. It didn't take long before the clearing came up.

The plan that the two had basically agreed on was possible. The cell block had cleared a number of trees and an all out battle royal was going on at the crash site. The only trick Eve and Felix would have to pull off now would be to get through that without getting riddled with holes.

Thankfully that problem seemed to take care of itself as the monster made its presence known. All of the gunfire stopped as the roar rang out. More than a few of the prisoners fired upon the beast to the same effect that Felix's weapon had. Now, the creature was angrier, but it had a few new targets.

Felix tackled Eve from the side as they ran. He knew that she probably would have dodged the now rampaging monster regardless, but he wasn't going to chance it. Fortunately, the monster dashed past them and directly into the hail gunfire.

He watched for a few moments before realized that in all the excitement he hadn't gotten off of Eve. "Well, as much as I enjoy being on top of attractive women...I think it'd be a good idea to get out of here before it runs out of food." Felix said, rolling off of his ally. "My name's Felix by the way, Felix Dromas. I didn't really get the opportunity to say that earlier."

Shaali Tunn

Shaali raised a brow at the doctor's request, eyeing the woman up and down, having never cared to observe her before. She was a small slip of a thing, thin as a rail and clearly pampered by the comfort of her advanced society. She also carried herself with a sense of unparalleled confidence, as if she expected Shaali to unable to refuse her proposition. She could only conclude that this woman had some sort of reputation she expected Shaali to know about, which she didn't...not that it'd matter, since previous reputations are absolutely void in this sort of survival situation.

Shaali almost refused the woman, not wanting any dead weight to lug around when some sort of predator could be creeping around any corner, but then she saw the corpse of a man, foaming from the mouth, off in the distance in the direction the good doctor had approached her from.

"Alright, Miss Lea." Shaali conceded, "I'll keep you company if you require it. It's the least I can do in return for your regular medical checkups."

She then walked back into her cell in order to pick up a satchel, a longbow, and a quiver, leaving muddy footprints in the clear door she had kicked down.

"I need to scout the area for a source of fresh water and a nice big tree to place my shelter, so you should tag along since it won't be long before whatever it is causing the party over there..." she motioned to the area off in the distance where faint screams, roars, and sounds of explosions were coming from "...start poking around over here."

Shaali then bent down and scooped up a large handful of mud, before approaching Lea and plopping it in her hands. She then moved her fingers in a slow, fluid motion, and the mud pile smoothed out, leaving no trace of her activity.

"You should use that to cover up and mask your scent, so nothing tracks us. Your..." Shaali paused in order to find the right word, "...clean scent is very unnatural here and quite frankly sticks out like a sore thumb. The mud will also keep you cool and protect your skin from damage."

She then used the excess mud on her hands and legs to cover the spots on her body that would sweat the most and release the most scent as she walked into the brush before poking her head back out to check on Lea.

"Well, come on. I don't know about you, but I'd rather not get eaten today."

The smile on her face turned into a grin when she heard Shaali agree for her to come along. That was great. At least she now has a companion. A doctor isn't any good when they have no patients to treat after all. However, instead of shaking on it, as she would be expected to do back on Earth, she kept her hands to herself. It doesn't seem that Shaali knew exactly what she was capable of doing. Though she could say that there may have been something that helped with her decision to let her tag along.

Lea turned her head ever so slightly to look back. Oh, it seems Klein was still visible. Whoops, her mistake. She turned back to the Tulak. The woman didn't seem to mind so that meant good. Either that, or she was planning on kill her... in which case, that would be bad. Ah, but she couldn't jump to conclusions. She'll see soon enough.

She stayed rooted to her spot as Shaali retrieved her things from her cell. Lea looked around, curious on what most of the flora around here held. Poison? Herbs? Miracle plants? There were so many things to study around her. She wasn't as good at studying plants as she was with the animal body, but she did have some background on it. And that was enough to let her curiosity pique.

Her ears perked up to the gunfire and the shouting and the roars. Hm? Has someone encountered the fauna here? Shaali returned soon after. "Roger that." It seems that the Tulak was the best shot at survival that she has, considering that the woman grew up in an environment akin to this and not in a futuristic city. She just realized that right now. She supposed that luck was on her side, for now.

Shaali had approached with a handful of mud before plopping it up on her open hands. She slowly nodded before looking at the mud, a moment of indecision. Again, she was more experienced in dealing with the great outdoors than her so Lea followed her instructions and spread the mud on her, following Shaali's movement. Now her perfectly white lab coat is no more, ah well, she'd maybe throw it away later. Who knows. She wasn't exactly sure what she will do with it but she supposed that keeping it for now would be for the best.

For now.

"Yeah coming." Lea muttered with a nod before quickly following behind the Tulak, hands now out of her lab coat's pockets. Though it looked like she was as relaxed as one would be when they're walking through a security-tight hallway, she was actually pretty alert of her surroundings and was ready to whip out the handgun if needed.

As much as she didn't mind killing someone for her survival, being messy isn't exactly her style. Hopefully, the handgun would't be needed.

"Oof~" Eve let out a small shout of surprise as she was tackled from the side. She could have easily avoided it, but seeing Felix want to keep her out of harms way himself was ever so slightly endearing. Also fun. Meant she at least had his trust for now, heh. That was good, at least. Less work to maintain that trust from now on. Perfect, everything seemed more or less going according to plan. She couldn't see very well from under Felix, but judging from the sounds of gunfire and screams the creature was thoroughly distracted for now. If they were to make a clean getaway, this was likely the best opportunity.

"Pleasure to meet you, Felix." Eve replied with a playful smirk, not immediately getting up. "Alas, if this was in more amicable circumstances, I'd already have that shirt of yours off, hehe~" She continued with a giggle, looking around at her surroundings as she sat up. Decisions. It'd probably be best to find shelter of some sort where nothing, or no one could find them. Afterwards, maybe try and find a few supplies and water sources then make their way to the Alcatraz. For now though, she'd leave the decision making to Felix. She didn't want to come off as too commanding just yet. "But I'll just keep doing it with my eyes for now."

Standing up, Eve's mouth turned into a small frown.

"Right so," She said looking over to Felix, lending a hand to help him up if needed. "We should likely get moving, then. Staying here is asking for nasty surprises of the non fun kind." Unless he said something, Eve would be content with following silently for now.

"We're definitely on the same page with the mental undressing." Felix said with a smirk.

"Let me think for a second." Felix said surveying the area he could see smoke from several different crashed cell blocks in the distance. "There were a few cell blocks that didn't have any prisoners. A few of the other guards used to store alcohol and some of the contraband food in cell block twenty four...I mean it isn't exactly a long term plan, but it might be a good place to start." His VI attempted to locate the crashed block, but to no avail.

"Well, it would be if its beacon wasn't obliterated. I can figure out where it might be, but if that beacon is gone, I doubt much else survived." Felix wasn't an outdoorsman by any stretch, even his time in the militia had been in a rather tame environment. "The most important thing right now is to get somewhere safe, and I doubt either of us can build a shelter from scratch...Especially not one that could with the locals." He pointed at the monster from before that was fighting quite a number of prisoners. "To be honest though, I'm kind of strapped for ideas. an uncharted alien jungle is about as far out of my element as I can get."

Now that the situation wasn't a purely combat oriented one, he was lost. "You're right though, this isn't a good place to rest. For now, we probably ought to try to find one of the cushy cell blocks they kept the corrupt diplomats and businessmen in. I doubt they could even find the emergency rations in their block...Even if they did, I'd gladly confiscate them."

Keeran

@zahir

Keeran sighed and pointed forward, where the smoke was rising from. "Obviously we will be heading towards the smoke. Now like I said I don't care, you can think we are equals but the reality is much different. Keep up and don't bother me." Keeran started walking forward, towards what he assumed was the location of the crash. He knew the location of his gear on the ship, and that his shit would be intact. No way a small plane crash would break and of his stuff, he made sure whatever he used more than once was something of quality. It was a small bad habit of his, not wanting lower quality garbage if he was going to have to use something on a regular basis or really just depend on. As they walked Keeran pulled out his gun and examined it.

It was not a standard issue weapon, Keeran could recognize that. That sparked his curiosity more than anything. Normally Prison guards were issued a something light, like a handgun with regular bullets. They needed nothing higher caliber, prisoners never wore armor. So why did this guard carry a semi automatic plasma mark M112 hand gun. That was so above standard issue, it was not even funny. More than once Keeran thought he saw something move in the bushes around him or skulking behind trees but Keeran never made a move to find it or him or she.

Shaali Tunn

While in the brush, Shaali poked around to look for a trail some large animal could have made; while she, herself was used to making her way around the untouched wilderness, she imagined a smoother path would be easier for Miss Lea...she didn't want the poor woman to trip over every root or get caught in a thorn bush. After about 30 seconds of scanning the area, she found one and called Lea over.

"This trail should be easy enough for you to walk through without falling behind." Shaali then paused, "I don't mean to infer that you're a slow person, but shoes, especially shoes like that, tend to slow bipedal species down, and I doubt that the skin on your feet is calloused enough to walk through the brush without injury."

After saying what she needed to say, Shaali turned on her heel and continued down the path she discovered. Once she saw that the doctor was following her, she moved her fingers in the same fluid motion as before to shift the topsoil behind Lea, removing her footprints. It was a simple skill that didn't require a lot of mana, but it would slowly drain her if they were walking too long...perhaps the best course of action would be to look for a lake with a cave nearby so she could rest and replenish her mana enough to eventually lift her cell. Shaali listened intensely to the sounds of the jungle, on the lookout for predators. She knew she could defend herself well enough without the use of her attunement, but that made her wonder how well off Lea would be.

"Hey, Doc...what do you suppose you'll do if you use up all your mana and run out of ammo on that pistol of yours, or God forbid lose it?"

Most people would consider those words of her's a threat, but Shaali was too thick in the head to see it.

Lea waited patiently for Shaali to emerge from the bush, and she eventually did. She then proceeded to explain why the doctor should take the dirt path and Lea nodded. "Don't worry about it. It's the truth anyway." She said before adding a shrug at the end. Seriously, she wasn't at all angry at what the Tulak had said as it was accurate. There was no way she could get by, barefooted, in these parts. Sure, she ran around like that when she was a kid, but never as an adult. The Bursmir family had so many things to uphold and she was forced to go along with it.

The black haired woman quickly started following her on the dirt path. Shaali was certainly quick on her feet and something inside Lea told her that she was only slowing the Tulak down. The fact that she was doing something like this made Lea appreciate her more. What a kind soul. A shame she got stuck in The Alcatraz - though, if she had not been admitted, then she wouldn't have met her and have a guide who knows how to survive in a place like this. She supposed she should be thankful about it.

A rustle here, a roar over in the distance - the unusual sounds alerted her. It was painfully obvious that she did not know what to expect and that she was not used to being in such unfamiliar territory. Well, that should have been understandable. Anyone would be scared when they didn't know what exactly is out there.

Shaali's voice came suddenly and she whipped her head towards the horned woman. It took a moment for her to process the question and then she properly thought about it. "Hm, I... don't know. Run? It's not that I don't know basic self-defense but I'm also not exactly an expert on doing it."

Kay'Gan chuckled at Keeran's reaction to what he said as he sighed and pointed Kay'Gan looked in the same direction. He nodded his head in understatement then listened to the male's words. He hissed slightly and smirked. "I knew that..." He titled his head slightly crossing his arms as he was still up on the branch of the tree he had to aim his sights down to see his 'new partner' in crime? . . .probably not. . . Rolling his shoulders he huffed a little. "Oh, pumpkin we aren't equals at all. If I wanted to you..." he paused and seemed to have a more dark sense to him now. "...you would be dead." Kay'Gan said in a tone of blunt honesty."Though, I rather wouldn't kill somebody that helped me so don't ever put me in that position...alright doll?" he asked teasingly as he then started walking on the trees.

Kay'Gan didn't know if he could actually kill Keeran in seconds because he knew Keeran had a gun and he didn't know what he was capable of yet.

Kay'Gan looked down and stopped as he watched the male walk ahead and examine the gun he pulled out of his clothing. Tilting his head Kay'Gan kept a slight smirk at his expression. Cracking his neck, he tilted his head the other way. "Mhm...pretty semi-automatic plasma mark M112 handgun." Kay'Gan commented on the gun as he noticed the build and shape of the weapon. Being an assassin, you had to study guns to know what they did and that's what he did study and learned. He started walking and kept up with Keeran pretty easily like he wasn't even walking he seemed to go a little slower or in circles to not get ahead of himself. Kay'Gan noticed the slight body movements of the male. He didn't really seemed to bother about the slight reactions of the male looking quickly at a tree or a brush randomly.

Kay'Gan stopped and stretched and yawned out. He loved the moments of when he could stretch and have that wonderful feeling of the muscle's stretching out in his body mainly his physique. "So, why were you put on the Alcatraz?" Kay'Gan blurted out it was on his mind and he got curious he wanted to know. He was smiling slightly as he was very interested. Kay'Gan even jumped down from the tree and landed right by his fellow companion and looked at the male. Who was round the same height of him.

A massive rumbling shook the entire hemisphere of the planet. The space around the Alcatraz changed to a dark shade of purple as space seemed to compress around the front of the vessel. The entire planet was disturbingly silent as what sounded like a massive device charging slowly increased in volume. All of those that had worked with large vessels knew exactly what was happening.

A weapon that was clearly not meant to be fired in-atmosphere, was preparing to fire. The few that knew the specs on the Alcatraz realized it was the main hybrid cannon that took up the entire frontal lower deck. None had even seen the gun fire in space, let alone on a planet that was clearly unprepared for the catastrophic weapon. It wasn't a planet destroying weapon, but it would easily obliterate heavily fortified positions and most capital ships.

A few minutes later a blast seemed to vibrate the air itself as the area within a few hundred kilometers of the Alcatraz grew at least twenty degrees hotter. The resulting shockwave flattened weaker trees all over the place as the local fauna fled in every direction. A second after the first shot that was fired, a dark purple beam emitted from the front of the ship leaving a wake of fire spanning much of the area around it. All of those that didn't prepare in the moments leading up to the blast were temporarily deafened by the incredibly loud noise. Some were even blown back by the shockwave.

It was a mystery really, what could such a weapon be meant for on a prison ship? Why would it have been fired now? What was it meant to hit? All of these questions completely unanswerable to the inmates and crew that were still so far behind the vessel.
