Okay, [@Rajinslayer], I've looked your character over, and I don't see any issues - approved!

Which means we now have our six slots filled...if I was fancier I'd have included something in the characters tab saying which characters belong to which players...maybe later! This also means...

We can begin IC officially now! Standard RP type rules apply, of course - no powerplaying, godmodding, controlling other peoples' characters without their permission, and at least at first, a minimum of collaboration posts. I'm not expecting pages and pages of response, but feel free to add some extra detail as you see fit. The key is to add to the story.

Now, I usually get offline on Sundays as a regular matter of course, so I mention a caveat here that you may go ahead and start posting IC immediately, as of right now - but I won't be able to respond until Monday at the soonest. Best if all of you introduced yourselves first anyway, then I can have Justin take you guys on the tour of the lodge proper!

Understood, @Tergonaut. I am constructing an outline for my first post now. I may put it up tomorrow, or wait for Monday to consult with you on a few points.

With all that said, Tergonaut brings up a point I had wondered about. Collaboration posts can be a powerful tool for moving forward with plot, and can combine many shorter posts (such as conversation, combat, etc) to avoid dozens of one-liners. I understand the request for holding off on collaboration posts for the moment, and will respect that request. However, if/when it becomes appropriate to use them, I am available for collaborations.

I am looking forward to seeing where this takes us.

Good to go! I've adopted an uppity vocabulary/manner of speech for Jane and Winters, which should make conversations interesting. Amie will probably switch to a more natural tone when she's away from Winters, who needs a first name.

Any suggestions for a first name for an English assistant/manservant with the surname Winters? I was thinking Nathaniel, Alexander, Sebastian, or something formal-sounding.

My mind immediately went to "Jonathan". Not sure why. Jonathan Winters. Sort of rolls off the tongue. Sebastian could be a middle name? Jonathan Sebastian Winters III. ^_^

Also...if you don't mind my saying so, @MatthiasAngel, Winters appears to have a bit of a mouth on him. Perhaps the kind of calculated audacity one gains over several years of getting to know one's charge personally; where the lines are, and precisely how near to them one can tread. I haven't read the whole post yet, but that comment about the sword...I enjoyed it. A bit of kettle and pot, I think.

@Valor, given that this is a separate mythology from real-world lore, it's honestly up to you. But I would encourage and respect the inclusion of accurate weaknesses; it shows attention to detail and fair play.

@BlessedWrath That's a fair assessment and what I'll be doing. I'll be keeping it toned down a little so that merely touching silver isn't a huge problem, but getting cut by it will sting a bit harder and not heal as fast.

@Valor, while I do not believe it is necessary to describe it every time, an initial description would be helpful. The occasional reminder, once in a while, would give a refresher. It's also possible that, in some cases, describing it would be helpful in handling any changes that have occurred (i.e. restrained while shifting, or a change in her powers, etc).

I was just treated to a daydream of Ashley shifting in mid free-fall, just in time to shred her restraints and use her momentum to cleave an enemy assault bot in half. o_o

You people are giving me ideas.

I'm​ not sure how to customize the sword physically for upgrades, but I have a basic idea for modifications that match the armaments. I'm planning to avoid elemental attacks completely and focus exclusively on pure physical damage output.

Jump: Increases the reach of the sword by creating a wave that extends past the blade and follows it.
Attack: Makes the sword much wider and twice as strong. It creates small shock waves on impact with another surface, briefly unbalancing opponents.
Negate: Creates a smaller shield (with the standard Negate properties) attached to Amie's off hand, allowing for sword-and-shield combat rather than defense exclusively.
Evade: Allows the sword to move faster than the human eye can see, allowing for rapid, almost invisible strikes.

I'm not sure about the Evade one, it sounds kind of lame, but what kind of benefit can you give a weapon in regard to dodging/escaping a fight?

No worries, Rajin, we're also still waiting on @Afro Samurai and @duskshine749 to make posts, so no rush yet.

I'm biding my time right now until everyone's had a chance to jump into IC before responding, but that also depends on the sequence of events, so we'll see!

Also, that is a cool mental image, BW, and I agree - transformation detail can be upped when it's more important, glossed over if it's not.

Maybe the Evade power-up creates after-images when powered-up, or an instant counterattack for every successful evasion? Something like that.
