Stranded based RP?

I've been thinking of starting up a shipwrecked and stranded on an island based RP, of course with a little drama added in, like maybe it's got a dangerous tribe that lives there, or surrounded with sharks, or at night bad things come out? There's a lot we can do with this, so I'm looking for people who are interested and ideas to throw out!

Definitely interested.
It could also be cool to, instead of a tribe, have a more 'modern' group live there, who appropriated the place for reasons unknown and who are not pleased with these new visitors.

I once read a book where a bunch of kids were shipwrecked on an island and they find out that it's used for drug smuggling and they get chased by the baddies. Just a thought.. Also, interested ^w^

EDIT: @MissIndependent Hey so, depending on the type of ship we wreck, can I be a deck hand of said ship? I was in the Coast Guard and know how to tie me some damn good knots, not that it has anything to do with the RP. I'm just going to stop typing now..

@bmxbrat484 Of course that'll be fine! Ya'll can play whatever character you want, it'd be fun to have a huge diversity.

I really like the drug smugglers idea, that would be real interesting.

Just one question, the drug smuggling would it be done by a certain drug family/cartel or would it be like a neutral ground for drug groups to manage, shop and trade different type of drugs? I'm asking because I'm guessing we would probably need people being the bad guys (also because I'm interested in being one) and well, if it's a drug cartel, especially if it's a latin one, they are not too keen with the idea of hiring guys who are not latin and shit. That type of shit also happens with Italian, Irish, etc. I think defining that part of the story is essential for the people who would want to have those parts, if needed that is.

Also, no idea on what the tittle could be :(

I think just neutral grounds for drug trading would be best, but we'd still need a couple people to play the "bad guy" role anyway or have some NPC some roles.

@MissIndependent Perfect! Then what's left is come up with a tittle and have the CS up. I think having people play the bad guys would be better, actually. Also, maybe ashore, wrecked or abandoned could do for a good tittle? Just a thought.

Like, maybe they wrecked on the opposite side of the island, or in a bay or something, and they didn't encounter the baddies until they started to scour the island for food and such? Since I doubt anyone in the drug trade is going to go search the island without a specific reason. They just wanna do their shite and get out.

Also, is the RP going to start on the boat? I think that would be good for establishing characters. And I want a second character that doesn't make it through the crash or does he

Yes, I was thinking beginning it off on the boat and play it out from there, I could play the captain whose controlling the boat when it wreaks and he just ends up not surviving and then I'll have my main character, and I agree to bring the baddies in later on. Can't get it all going off at the very beginning because then it'll get boring later on if we don't stretch it out. Great brainstorming guys! I'm working on the OOC thread right now!
