Well if anyone wants to meet my character at the gate we can say he is already there by the time y'all's characters get there. Not sure if that helps anyone or not.

So, it seems like everyone is a little stuck or unsure of how to continue. That being said, I'm going to just skip ahead to the day of the open interview. I was planning on starting the rp one day before going to IMFO but if it will help you guys stay interested and give you guys something to go off of, I will just make a time skip post to push the plot.

The west gate leads to outside the city walls, just outside the city walls is a testing ground that is surrounded by a magical fence. That's where we are. Sorry, I should have clarified earlier.

Yeah, it may have been a bit confusing. When I posted about the west gate I was talking about the west border access.

@Undying CuriosityThe gate would be in front of the testing grounds right? So they would be outside of the testing grounds when they first arrive and then move to the testing grounds? Or were they on the testing ground when they arrived?

The testing grounds is a fenced in area outside the city's border to the west. The west gate is what they call the border. There is a west and east gate. After the gm post I made I was hoping to have every body In the fenced In area of the testing grounds.

@Kit DewStein I am curious how a fully educated mage could not know what a team is. I don't understand understand who anyone out of elementary school wouldnt know that. Sorry for the questions just trying to understand your character so I know how to adapt.

@KatherinWinter My character was raised where he only interacted with family. They never really used the word team. He was either supervised or told to watch what someone was doing. He understands the phrase "working together" but not the word team. Think extremely sheltered, smart, but not street smart by any means.

@KatherinWinter He was but he was a loner. He is really really shy. Only when he graduated did he really want to even attempt to put himself out there.

@Kit DewSteinBut if he went to school he would have learned the word team. They would have taught him how to work with others. Wouldn't they? That's like a basic school thing. Even loners have to do team activities in school.

@KatherinWinter The thing is there were different schools so I would think since my guy comes from a rich family he would go to a rich school where more elaborate language was used.

@Kit DewStein I'm sorry but I'm in the same boat as Katherine on this one. Even if you went to a top notch private school and were a loner your character would still understand the word 'team'. Remember, even though there is magic, this Rp still takes in modern day. In modern day,if someone went to a privileged rich school they would probably have a wider vocabulary than most.

I've been hella busy recently so I didn't have time to ask you to edit your ic post, but I'd like you to change it. Even if it means just taking out those two sentences.
