Liz shook her head and said "alright alright, just being concerned is all" the girls picked Rex up as kid took his sister --- Kid sat by wolfs bedside, tapping his foot. It was late into the night now, and wolf hadn't woken up yet. The sisters were checking on Rex, but kid wouldn't leave his sister.
The girls had taken Rex back to his home, but neither had been willing to drag his unconscious body upstairs. So they laid him down on the couch, covered him with a blanket, and called it good.
When the girls got back Kid was still with Wolf, looking worn out. Liz walked up behind him and said "Come on Kid...you need to get some sleep too..." He shook his head and said "I won't leave her alone...not again...."
Patty chirped, "Maybe you can get Rex to take care of her for you? I mean, they are partners and all. And Stein did that doohicky-thinger-mabobber with their souls. So why not?"
"Oh, alright," said Patty.Rex woke the next morning slowly, every muscle and bone in his body aching. "Damn, Stein," he muttered. "You didn't need to knock me out this bad." He tried to move, but his limbs didn't respond. "Aw, crap!"
Kid stayed up with Wolf all night and then sent the girls to check on Rex. Liz opened the door to Rex's place and called out "Rex? Its Liz and Patty! We are here to check up on you"
Liz and Patty went upstairs to find him in bed and Liz said "Well at least your awake. Wolf hasn't moved since we brought her home. Kid hasn't slept and I think he might lose it soon. But you should be able to move in a couple of hours if we use the time table from when Stein did this last time"
Liz nodded and Patty ran to get a glass of water. Liz moved over and helped Rex sit up, putting a pillow behind his back and moving back. "There, better? Patty should be back in a moment"
