Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait. I've been a little occupied, but time is a flat circle anyways and our lives are ultimately meaningless.

Thank you all for expressing interest in this. I figured I'd make this a whole thing I can't put more than 5 other people in a PM, but since we're here, we'll be the driving force and creative council for this thing. I want this to be our collective project, contributing however much you feel on your own time. Very casual, no pressure, just a creative exercise / some foundation we can build some cool storylines off of.

There are two primary components I have in mind for this:

First, we lay out the physics / natural law for the world. This will be more behind-the-scenes and is just there so we're all on the same page when we write our lore. This will include how seasons work, what creatures and races inhabit this world, how powerful magic is and to what degree it was be wielded by individuals or anything else. I expect this to be reviewed and refined a lot in the forms of rationalizing and bickering. It will continue to grow as we figure out new things we need to cover for the sake of comprehensiveness and clarity.

Second is a lore. This is something that will probably be developed more individually, although collaboration is highly encouraged, especially when we're going to be co-existing in this world. This will include culture, history, geography, characters, and literally anything you'd believe is worth a story. This will continually expand as each of us wish, but we will all need involve ourselves in each other's work to some degree for the sake of consistency.

As for how we proceed, we'll be developing the two in parallel:

The current age of the world is around the Bronze Age (maybe up to early Iron Age at most), so very ancient vibes. We'll be coming in maybe a century or so after a cataclysmic event (along the lines of a Deluge or Sodom & Gomorrah; we can discuss the details). I'm also envisioning high fantasy, so a fairly immature understanding of science, a odd and monstrous creatures, and magic still shrouded in mystery. I guess most of this first part will consist of what we'd like to include in this world and general boundaries we're looking to set.

The lore component will be much looser and open-ended. I don't like being anal about creativity, and history has always been told differently from various perspectives, so why not have a little wiggle room? I suggest we each begin with our own culture and bounce ideas off each other, but of course feel free to collaborate on these things. As this develops, our history and lore will start intertwining and we'll have solid story material.

I hope I haven't lost your interest yet! This is all kinda difficult to describe, but I'll just talk about what I've been working on. Right now, the whole concept is really vague, but it's called Recollections. The first page is basically a list of my culture's idols. The posts after are just excerpts from notable people that pass by this venue. They all have something to do with the apocalypse or the events following it.

I see the Character Sheets tab being our "libraries", pages like mine or mini-encyclopedias and stuff. One post will be maintained for each culture / religion / tradition / whatever sub-group you want really.

I would love to hear everyone's questions and thoughts. I apologize if any of this is unclear. It's late here and I'm just typing as it comes to me.
