A Life Ruining Roleplay

Premise




"It's a world full of drugs, violence, and decay of human intelligence."


Be cautious and be wary. The world is not as safe as it used to be. Danger lurks around every corner and nobody can be trusted. Most of the beauty in the world has been eliminated or destroyed.

All that remains is disgust and idiocracy. The finer things in life are no more. By any means, it is to kill or be killed. That is a rule of survival and you have to live by it. Straying off from this guideline will only bring misery in your wake.

You are a resident of the post-apocalyptic wasteland. There is possible reassurance, but this world is a nightmare. The only things that reside in this world are animals, monsters, and men. Women are no longer existent. No clue has surfaced regarding the disappearance of women nor has one shown up.

It's just been a mesh pool of trash and ugliness. To cope, men will usually linger towards drugs or alcohol. It was best given the situation. What hope was there to live for? No electricity, no plumbing, and most importantly, no women. Most of everyone just tries to live by with terrorizing others or playing a simple game of darts.

People have given up hope. That was until a group of low-lives had stumbled upon a secret. A group of nimrods discovered a baby girl and have been nurturing her for the past decade. They have been nothing but a bunch of pussies and played pretend “fatherhood.” It was until a group of bandits had to put a stop to it.

A band of heroic raiders kidnapped the girl when the group of idiots wasn't looking. They took her for their own malicious reasons. More men had heard about this and became motivated—the first female they have seen in decades. It was then every man, raider group, and gang joined the hunt. Who was going to stop them? The adoptive fathers? That’s laughable.

This roleplay is based on Lisa, the quirky RPG scrolling indie game. The video game is set in a post-apocalyptic world. One particular thing is that women are gone. Only men, animals, and monsters roam the planet now.

Lisa has a lot of comedic events filled with profanity and tragic moments. Beneath its hilarity and quirky nature, there is disgust and moral destruction. This roleplay will possibly be comedic based on your own humor. It will also be hardcore.

Lisa had many sacrifices in the game which tended to be unfair or entirely changed the game’s mechanics. Saving a person may affect your overall character’s playthrough. Sometimes you can prevent a situation through strength, brains, or luck. Other times, it’s just life giving you a good dicking.

For the role-players, the storyline will be focused on finding a specific girl. She has appeared out of nowhere and has been nurtured by a couple of good Samaritans. The role players have two options: they could be considered as part of the young girl’s life prior to her kidnapping or they were hired by the girl's adoptive father to retrieve her.

Alright, I believe that’s a good explanation of the game’s content.

Character Application




"It will be about losing everything you’ve ever loved and failing at everything you’ve ever done and becoming everything you’ve ever hated."


In the world of LISA, there is no surprise that the characters are abnormal. With a post-apocalyptic world, it is only natural everyone would be a bit weird or insane. Some characters suffered tragedy in the past, are currently suffering or will suffer later on in the story.

LISA is no stranger to nut bags. There have been men dressed as queers, a caveman covered in dead squirrels and even a crappy fish attorney. Your character will be one of many weirdos wasting his breath.

Leveling Up, Combat System, and Items




"People are a collection of blood-filled sacks and floppy limbs, one second away from being stretched out and twisted like so much skin-taffy."


Leveling Up


For most of your journey, experience points will be given to you through post activity and defeating enemies. I will be initiating the experience points and I would like for you to please update your characters' level bar. This is so your character is given what he deserves and levels up accordingly.

Fighting enemies will be a group effort. An enemy's experience points will be split through the team. A party member must be present in order to gain the points.

Word count will vary the experience points gained as well. Here's a simple estimation for experience points.

Word Count/Experience Points:
200 words- 1 point
300 words- 2 points
500 words- 3 points
1000 words- 5 points


Combat System


The combat system will generally be written in role play format. There will be times when I will dice roll to determine the amount of damage an enemy inflicts or how much damage your character deals.

Items


There will be dice rolls after enemies are defeated to present possible item drops. I will also be committing to these rolls during gambles and treasure chests. The rarity of an item will also be rolled. Your character along with the entire party share the same inventory regarding curatives. You and your group fight or decide who gets what weapon or armor.

Major In-Game Decisions




"This is the post-apocalyptic world which starts off bleak and only gets worse, with addiction, murder, mutilation, and terrible choices that can literally cost you blood – or an arm."


One of the charms within the game of LISA is the major in-game decisions. I will apply these when I feel the party has made a couple of milestones. This may affect the party's mood, a character's personality, mental or physical health, and even combat fighting style. LISA is about self-sacrifice and being decisive.

I will be performing a dice roll to see who is affected by the game decision. It will sometimes be up to a role player to decide the fate of his comrades. These decisions will sometimes be merciless.
