Crimson Throne Arena- 100 yard diameter circular fighting ground. Sixty years of death has resulted in the arena being littered with thousands of cracked teeth and bone chips, easily identifiable to one who'd examine a handful of the blood tinted sand.

SPECIALTY RULE- Each participant must wait 1-2 posts between responses to maintain proper timing and a consistent idea of each fighter's position. The order will begin with Kull, followed by the whomever has posted first following his emote. Participants may collaborate their posting order after every action by myself, I.E, I post, and Lilly and Dame may decide who will respond first and second, then I post again, repeat.

Battle Theme-

@AllHollowsEve Quick question.

Is Lilly going for a right cross or a right straight? In other words, which of her feet is leading the punch?

Let me tell you this, you had me fooled. Your character sheet was expertly rendered, and the combat vital details nicely accounted for. Very good CS, any way you look at it.

Such a bold move is a nice way to make openings for your team mate as well, and armored limbs are some of the best weapons around. Primary usage is deflecting enemy attacks with the bracers and using that chance to grab their weapon with the free hand, thus both trapping them and nullifying one of their means of attack. That being said, deception is the name of the game. The blow that knocks down most boxers, as they say, is the one they didn't see coming.

Just a few tips for later, huh?

Anyways, keep your character's equipment setup, it's a fine build, and I know you'll use it as best you can to try and tear my guts out.

Format doesn't matter, the content was yours. Even then, worst case scenario is that I just complemented myself.

Since Lilly's counter is still in the same timeframe as Kull's emote, I'll post again.

@Doc Doctor
So, is it even possible to hit this guy? I mean, I get that he's a certified warrior and what not, but, like, he's still human. He can only do so much in the span of a mili-second. Plus, and I get that he's a powerhouse, but he's still wearing full plate. I kinda feel like if he's in the middle of grappling with someone else while wearing that much armor, he's not going to be able to react as quickly to someone much smaller, lighter, and faster than him. He should either take the hit or block it, none of this matrix shit. Nothing in his CS suggests he'd be able think or act that quickly.

She may be faster, but a helmet won't noticably slow him down when he's simply leaning back an inch and dropping his chin. It's experience, not speed.

What's more, nobody can react in a millisecond. You can't be saying Dame's thrusts are too fast to move in reaction to, even an inch? Kull is moving in reaction to it, and he isn't moving much.

Ali is way better. Those punches come faster and from closer range. Kull isn't a pro boxer, but better than thirty years of fighting will work wonders for you.

If you still don't feel it's right though, I'll change his action to the one handed stab, even though his arm would have to move far more than an inch.

Maybe this just isn't my scene. My argument is that Mr. Ali wasn't being held in place by a second opponent. Plus, helmet or no, he did have another person smash their skull into his. I don't know about you, but I've been headbutted before. You straight up can't see for a second after that. And he's supposed to be making all these Sherlock esc calculations mid fight against two different opponents while his brain is rattling around, and he's still keeping an eye on both and still not even taking a hit?

Again, maybe this just isn't my kind of RP, but it just doesn't sit well with me.

Kull is held in place, his head isn't. Furthermore, Dame's stab was lined up and launched before the headbutt landed, with Kull's response coming before impact. He'd be juddered, but he'd also have already made his move.

Again, he wasn't making calculations during impact but before, and it isn't math, it's deflecting a stab you saw coming with your helmet, hardly Sherlock.

He's not paying as much attention to to Lilly because he already figures he can stab her in the neck and have one less worry.

But like I said, I'm fine with reacting differently.

@AllHollowsEve

At least read this.

It was with this reasoning that Charlotte once again closed the distance between herself Kull, swapping her cinquedea to a normal grip as she did so. Once she was within reach, Charlotte stabbed at Kull's left eye with the cinquedea (an estoc being to large to use at this range). In doing so, she offered her opponent a choice - kill Lillith but be maimed and possibly killed (should the cinquedea pierce his brain) before getting a chance to fight the Dame, or defend the blow with his weapon instead of attacking Lillith at all. Of course, there was always the possibility that Kull display his prowess again, and find a third, less obvious, solution.

Kull had time to block with his axe, and was in fact expected to. He was expected to find a third option as well.

So, why can't he deflect with his head or an arm? No time to think to do it? He can't reactively move his head?
Perhaps a human can't calculate the actions of two opponents at once? I've played GTA for about a year, as opposed to Kull's three decades of fighting for his very life. Here's me reacting to and blitzing multiple players at once by way of prediction and muscle memory, back to back in two video clips. Whaddya think of my speed?

@AllHollowsEve@Ciaran

So, after reading everything over again, I felt a distinct feeling on unease and decided to ask my main shield brutha for his take. Looks like it was my goof, guys.

In light of that, I'll retcon Kull's well timed deflection and killing blow in favor of something reasonable for everyone, that is, if either of you would still be willing to continue, which I can understand if you won't be. I hadn't given either of you much leeway for fun, rather, me trying to shoot for kills as quickly as possible, whilst you both were aiming nonlethal attacks. It was my bad, had spent too much time using peak human characters and forgot how to run a fight with an imperfect man, and my competitive streak at some point got the better of me. Fight writing can be ugly, and I should have understood that and had more finesse with you guys.

When you're wrong, you gotta admit it. Understand that sometimes, we don't realize we're wrong and need a little retrospection to get the right idea. Ya live, ya learn.

I have literally not done shit on this site, so you don't have to take my word worth anything, but Doc is a fantastic combat partner. Sometimes he feels himself a little too much and goes to lengths he shouldn't, and needs a bit of grounding - He's gotten his, and if you'd like I can keep an eye on this fight to make sure he stays clean. Please don't get discouraged, you two, and give it one more go - Fight-writing can be super fun and rewarding for the think-muscles so long as everybody agrees and it's all clean fun.

It's what I do best, fight-writing that is. I know the frustrations of fighting someone that doesn't want to lose, and I've done my fair share of refusing to lose as well, it's just how things go. Every style has its hiccups.. Just gotta chug some water and get past it!
