Mike took his place on the battle field as he stretched out and limber his moves as Ryu the Lucario stood next to him clenching his mega gauntlet as Mike's Mega ring glowed ever so slightly in the light of the afternoon. Mike also put on his Z ring and put in a z Crystal though it was unknown what one it was.

"Ah, this is the life. The glow of afternoon Sun baring down upon this battle field" Mike said to Ryu who nodded in agreement. He then stretched his hand before he smirked at his foe. "How about you make the first move pal?" Mike said calmly.

Chuck sat down to observe Mike's battle, as he may be facing him at some point. He knew nothing of the guy, other than what the others have said of him, or his team.

Paul stared at Mike as the young man seemed to be some what annoyed by Mike calmness as he said "Why don't you take this more seriously? This is the Pokémon league, theirs no room for people to not take it serious". Mike just laughed as he said "That may be your view point Paul, but you know, I see the pokemon battles as fun. But you want me to be serious, fine, I'll be serious"

With that, Mike and Ryu closed their eyes, before they both clinched a fist and punched it into their other hand which caused a massive rush of Aura power to wash over the arena, before the two open their eyes which were glowing light blue before they took up there fighting pose.

Paul scoffed at this before he sent out his first pokemon "Drapion, Stand by for battle", Drapion bursted out of the pokeball roaring loudly as Mike took out his first pokemon "Lizardon, lets fight" Mike said as from out the pokeball bursted a strange white lizard with strange pattens on its body which roared softly. "Here comes Mike's Salazzle" Sashia said to herself as she watched the battle. This clearly threw Paul off as he had never seen this pokemon before but then nether had the audience. Mike smirked and Lizardon took the confusing to her advantage as she blasted a flamethrower at Drapion who was then burned, though Lizardon body flashed purple briefly as if reviling she had a life orb on her, though Drapion then flinched as flames came off his body showing he had been burned. Paul growled as he told Drapion to attack with cross poison which he did but Lizardon ran at Drapion as he charged and slide under him before she blasted another Flamethrower as she slide under him before standing up and hissed softly before Drapion his the ground koed.

Mike smirked as Lizardon hissed happily at her victory before returning to her trainer and getting a pat on the head for a good job while Paul unhappily return his Drapion, before he sent out his next pokemon. Paul tried his very hardest to defeat Mike as the matches went on but Paul kept losing pokemon as Mike Pokémon took them down, by the final round, Mike's team consisted of Salazzle, Primirinia, Gardivor, Gallade, Mamoswine and now on the final battle, Paul sent out his last pokemon Torterra while Mike sent out Ryu who he mega evoled increasing the immersive Aura power already coming from the two of them. Ryu and Torterria clashed a lot and though Torterria had the type advantage eventually Torterra was taken out by a close combat and Mike was announced the winner of the match meaning he would be facing Harrison in the next match.

It was time for Liam's battle with Conway. Both trainers took their respective spots on the battlefield as the scoreboard lit up. Conway talked about how he cruched the data, and felt that he had devised his best plan to defeat Liam.

Conway pushed his glasses up as he smiled. He held out Shuckle's Pokéball and recalled it. "That was a good match. It is just what I expected, and I hope we can battle again soon."

Chuck was up next, facing off against Virgil. They shook hands and went to either side. Chuck started off with Azriel the Alakazam, while Virgil sent out Espeon.

Virgil started off by calling out "Psybeam!" The Espeon's jewel glowed as it let out a beam of psychic energy. Chuck said "Azriel, deflect it with your own Psybeam, and counter with Shadow Ball!" The Alakazam held up both it's spoons, one letting out a similar beam of psychic energy, which collided with Espeon's and held it back, while the other released a ball of ghostly energy, hitting Espeon square in the chest and knocking it back. "Another one!" Chuck said, and Azriel sent out one more, hitting the downed Espeon, blasting it into a wall behind Virgil. Virgil recalled Espeon and sent out his Umbreon next.

"Umbreon, use Dark Pulse!" Virgil said. Before Chuck and Azriel could react, Umbreon fired off a blast of dark energy, hitting the Alakazam, and sending it crashing into the wall behind Chuck, knocking it out. Chuck returned him and thanked him for his hard work, then sent out his Clefable, Nissa.

"Nissa, Moonblast!" Chuck said, right away, and the Clefable threw a ball filled with moonlight energy at Umbreon, hitting him and knocking him back. "Umbreon, use Iron Tail!" Virgil said, and Umbreon charged at Nissa, his tail turning to steel and whacking her, knocking her back as well. However, hearts suddenly appeared in Umbreon's eyes, as he became infatuated with her, due to the Clefable's ability, Cute Charm. Chuck and Nissa smirked as he said "Fire off another Moonblast and finish it off!" Nissa nodded and sent anoher ball of moonlight energy at the infatuated Umbreon knocking it out. Virgil recalled him and sent out Flareon next.

"Flareon, Smog into Iron Tail!" Virgil said, as the Flareon let out a poisonous cloud from his mouth, blocking the Clefable's vision, and also damaging her. Flareon's tail then turned to steel as he jumped into the Smog, and hit Clefable from behind, knocking her out of the gas, and also out in general. Chuck returned her, thanking her, and sent out Zenni, his Blastoise.

"Zenni, use Water Spout!" Chuck said. The Blastoise fired off a torrent of water from his cannons, dealing maximum damage, since Blastoise was at full health. The Flareon couldn't react in time and got hit with the full force, sending it flying. While it was helpless in the air, Chuck said "Aura Sphere!" Blastoise aimed it's cannons, and blue energy orbs appeared in front of the cannons, launching out at the Flareon, and it came crashing down, out cold. Virgil returned him and sent out Leafeon.

"Leafeon, Sunny Day!" Virgil said. Chuck hit his Keystone and said "Zenni, Gyro Ball!" His Blastoise Mega Evolved into Mega Blastoise, and curled into his shell, shooting straight for Leafeon, as the sun started shining brightly in the arena. Zenni scored a hit, knocking back Leafeon. "Leafeon, Solarbeam!" Virgil said. "Zenni, Ice Beam!" Chuck said. The Mega Blastoise fired off a beam of ice, however the Leafeon's ability, Chlorophyll, had kicked in and it vanished from sight, appearing directly behind Zenni and unleashing the full power of the sun's rays in one attack, point blank. When the dust settled, the Blastoise had reverted to normal, knocked out. Chuck returned him and thanked him, before sending out Tri the Dodrio.

"Tri, Drill Peck into Brave Bird!" Chuck said. The Dodrio ran at Leafeon, her heads spinning like a drill as she rammed into him, then jumped back and dashed in once more, speeding up faster and coated in a blue energy, crashing right into Leafeon, sending it flying and damaging Tri a bit as well. "Finish it off with Hyper Beam!" Chuck said, and all three heads fired off a massive blast of energy, which hit the Leafeon in midair. When Leafeon landed, it was out and Virgil returned him, sending out Jolteon in it's place.

"Jolteon, Rain Dance into Thunder!" Chuck could only stand there and watch, as Tri stood motionless, recovering from the Hyper Beam, and Jolteon danced around, turning the extreme sun into a torrent of rain, then firing off a massive blast of electricity When the dust cleared, Tri could be seen falling down, and smoking. Chuck returned her, thanking her, and sending out Titan the Golem.

"Titan, Earthquake into Rollout!" Chuck said. The Golem curled into a ball and slammed into the ground, causing an earthquake, dealing damage to Jolteon, and giving it unstable footing, as he then rushed in, rolling and knocking Jolteon into the air. As it came back down, Titan turned and hit it again, knocking it down and out. Virgil returned him and sent out Vaporeon, his last Pokémon.

Titan spun around and headed straight for Vaporeon, picking up speed, however Virgil had planned for this and said "Vaporeon, Surf!" As the Golem headed straight for it, Vaporeon summoned a giant tsunami, hitting the Golem with enough force that it was knocked back, crashing into the wall behind Chuck, knocked out. Chuck returned him and thanked him, then sent out his last Pokémon, Jolteon.

Chuck breathed deeply and smirked. "I'm sorry Virgil, but you're done for now. You have no hope of winning. Jolteon, use Thunder!" Jolteon smirked as well and unleashed a massive blast of electricity. As it was still raining, and Vaporeon was not only a Water type, but also standing in a puddle of water left behind by the Surf it just used, the blast hit it's mark, and dealt an massive amount of damage, knocking it out in one hit and giving Chuck the win.

"You've got a good Jolteon, Chuck." Virgil said, before going off. Chuck thanked him and went off to heal his Pokémon, returning to see who he would face off with next.

Liam saw that he was facing Mike. With Mike being a Champion himself, Liam would make an adjustment to his team. This would be the hardest match he has had in the tournament, possibly as tough as Pyramid King Brandon.

Chuck saw he was up against Harrison next and prepared himself for the coming battle.

Liam had his Pokémon lined up and went to watch Chuck's battle against Harrison.

Chuck and Harrison shook hands and took their places at either end. Harrison started off by sending out Weavile, and Chuck sent out Nissa the Clefable.

The two psychic Pokémon had a battle of the mind, then Hypno raised into the air and got launched back. "Shadow Ball!" Chuck said, and the Alakazam launched a ghostly ball of energy and hit the Hypno in midair, knocking it out. Harrison recalled it and sent out Houndoom. Chuck recalled Azriel and sent out Zenni.

"Thunderbolt!" Harrison called and Keckleon unleashed a blast of electricity at the Blastoise, who took the hit. Chuck smirked and said "Zenni, Focus Blast into Zen Headbutt!" The Blastoise fired a blast at the Keckleon, who's ability turned it into the Fighting type, which Chuck had planned for, as Zenni then bent his head and rushed at Kecleon, surrounding itself in psychic energy, bashing into it and knocking it out. Harrison then recalled it and sent out Blaziken.

Harrison touched his Keystone and Blaziken Mega Evolved into Mega Blaziken, as Chuck did the same with Blastoise. "Blaziken, Sunny Day into Solar Beam!" Harrison said. Mega Blaziken caused the sun to shine brightly in the arena and began charging up, but Chuck said "Zenni, Rain Dance into Hydro Cannon!" The sun went away and was replaced by intense rain, as he fired off a massive blast of water from the cannon on his back. However, Blaziken had charged enough sunlight to fire off the Solarbeam. The attacks collided in midair, as they pushed against eachother. But, with the rain, Zenni was able to push it back and hit Blaziken, knocking him back and reverting him to normal form, as he was knocked out, earning Chuck the win.

They returned their Pokémon and shook hands as the announcer said "There we have it! Our first finalist is Chuck North of Lumiose City! We'll see him battle the winner of our next battle in the finals!" Chuck went to heal his Pokémon, and returned to see the battle between Liam and Mike.

Mike took his place with his Lucario standing beside him with his mega braclet on as Mike sorted out his mega ring and then his Z ring before he said "So, you've seen how my sister battle, she had a certain flair to her battle style. Well most of my family do. Sashia has a lot of dancing moves, Ant acts as a Defensive wall and Me, I prefer mixing things up". Mike smirked and said "So Liam, you know I'm a champion of three regions and I know you are a Champion of a few regons as well so I look forward to this battle, How about you start this match?"

"I'm excited as well. " Liam said. Once told to call out their first Pokémon, Liam sent out Grimm the Dusknoir.

"So I wonder where you put the Ivs in, but the better choice is who do I send in the counter that" Mike though to himself before he nodded and snapped his fingers as he said "Alright, I think I know how to take this guy out". "Ron Burgady, Anchor-man. Lets get ready for battle" Mike said before he sent out a strange pokemon which was a anchor wrapped in seaweed and had a captain wheel on the top of the anchor with a creepy eye watching Dusknoir and Liam.

Shiranui scanned Mike's Pokémon. "Dhelmise, the Sea Creeper Pokémon. Swinging its massive anchor, it can KO Wailord in a single blow. What appears to be green seaweed is actually its body."

"Mean Look!" Liam called. Grimm used a power to prevent the Dhelmise from escaping.

Shiranui facepalmed at Liam's call. "Dhelmise is a Ghost/Grass type and they're immune to moves such as Mean Look," he mused.

Mike chuckled as Anchor man looked unphased by the mean look, however he then span round and used Anchor shot, which would prevent Grimm from escaping before Dhelmise would vanish and then use Phantom force.

"Double Team!" Liam ordered. Grimm made sevreal copies of himself.

Not fooled by this illusion Anchor man, waited in the shadows before he sensed the real one and came out of the shadow right behind the real grimm and hit him.
