(Forgotten how I formatted it last time, rip me) Volux

Dong, dong tolled the bell, a not-so-subtle prod to the Knights that it was time to fall back, and it seemed that the thick-skulled cannon fodder knew that too. A horde more streamed out onto the street, ugly faces snarling and displaying twisted smiles. Volux glanced around, meeting eyes with every since Orc before him, every single one causing the child to shudder. He froze, no magic spell could give him the courage to put himself through this. He caught the two orcs from before leering at him, almost like they found it funny that the tides had turned.

Conflicted, Volux decided to concede. It is one thing risking your neck on something you will likely survive, but when all the odds are stacked against you you may as well flee and fight another day he justified to himself, taking a step back. The orcs flashed their crooked teeth in delight, and took a seemingly pround and cocky step forward, then another, before charging forward amongst roars of victory and war cries.

Volux did not need to worry long about being viewed as a coward, a whistling arrow soared through the air and exploded, in a furious display of fire. The Retreat Signal he exclaimed inwardly, a smile of relief speading slowly across his countenance. Without a single moment more of hesitation, he turned tail and fled; emerald cape flapping through the air behind him. It took him a while to notice, but he hadn't seen Sereph anywhere when he took his retreat, and hoped she managed to make it to the rendezvous safely. And Arden, Volux hadn't seen him in even longer and began to worry about the boy. If anything happens to the boy, it was my fault he thought guiltily.

Xia hopped across the rooftops, light and soft on her feet, flickering from sight as she passed through the shadows of taller buildings. Every now and then she would pause to release a few arrows from a large bow she had acquired from an Orc. She surveyed the streets below her, helping where she could, but never deviating from her retreat order.
She of all people knew the importance of obedience.

@Arthanus

"Right. I get to play errand girl." Sybille answered as she swiped the letter abruptly from Jing's hands. "Well. At least I have a job now..." She said as she hid the letter among her robes. Letting go of her apples, she then adjusted her cowl and began runnnig away, deftly squeezing through the waves of manflesh.

"Faster." She said, as she eyed the rooftoops. "Hmm..."

She had an idea...

@Dark Light
The rooftops were a tricky path, but somehow she had managed not to trip herself while running through them. And Xia was about. Of course she was. She looked the kind of person who would be leaping around rooftops. Making a noticeable sign, she approached swiftly the other figure. "Xia, message." She added, without much flair as she readjusted her hood after so many bouncing. Now if she only had a bow...
