What has been the Russian peoples general reaction to all this?

It REALLY depends where you go, but the general consensus is half/half. Some of my friends don't see too much of a problem with it, considering Crimea is more closely Russian then it is Ukranian, and has been yearning for a Reunification for a long time. Meanwhile, the rest of us also don't want to get into another war, I mean we had only just invaded Georgia not to long ago. Though, from what I have seen, most people are leaning towards not going through with this. Right now, its up to the UN though.

The reason that I never had any of that Japan specific inspiration before is really because I had no idea what I was doing. I had just joined PoW, my first nation RP, and wasn't exactly sure what to do. I thought, at that point, that maybe if I swapped to something I had actually studied (Germany/Prussia), things would be a lot easier. Then, with that one, I was basically just an idiot, who gave up as soon as there was a chance of going to war with then-France Hug, like, three posts into playing it. From there, I moved on to Switzerland, which, really, I should have never touched.

When I finally got to Britain, I had managed to figure out what I was doing so wrong, and what I needed to do for this kind of RP. But I made the mistake of choosing a nation that had such a confusing backstory at that point that I wasn't even sure what was and wasn't allowed for it. So, to me, it only made sense that a Britain that was barely holding together wouldn't forever, so that's when I had Scotland and Ireland rebel for their freedom. But nobody seemed to take well to that, so thats why, in my last post before the swap, I wrote it off as a white peace, though in Englands favor.

That's the reason I want a fresh start with Japan. It's what I was originally, and never should have strayed from, if I knew what I was doing going into PoW. Britain has tons of potential, and probably could have lots of great writing done for it. I just don't think that I'm the person who should be in charge of all that.

I just need to be a nation that I can RP, knowing fully well what my boundaries are. With Britain, I really am not sure what those are. With countries like Japan or Romania, though, I know exactly where they stand, and what I would be able to do there.

If I stay with Britain, the Celts either rebelling for freedom, or maybe Scotland challenging England for a shift of power from the English to the Scottish in the UK are one of the things I would add, since, to me, it would only make sense. Both Ireland and Scotland would likely try to leave the union when the government in England was essentially erased during the anarchy. They would probably try to get out of it in order to save themselves from undergoing the huge negative effects the anarchy would have brought with it. I honestly can't see Scotland and Ireland going down with the ship that is the UK, when they can just hop off and leave the captain to clean up his own mess.

I dunno. If you do still want me to be the UK, then I guess I can be. I just feel I could leave it to somebody who could write better quality content for it, while I could go somewhere else where I could excel, as well. My time RPing in PoW on the MCF was essentially all just me learning what to do. Now that I know what I'm doing, I feel like I should be RPing with something I actually know I can make work with me.

The problem we are going to have is that this sounds exactly like the same speech you gave us every time you switched before. Britain and Japan has roughly the same amount of baggage.

Also, we are allowing you to erase a lot of what you did in britain. If you would prefer to get rid of the Celtic rebellion, that is you option. Really, all you have to keep is the post-war anarchy. The rest is up to you.

And the post-war anarchy comes with the loss of a few oversea territories.

In the Britain bit of the summaries, a lot of the overseas territories lost are unspecified (because specifying would be a bitch). But basically, it'd be the great majority of them. Including Gibraltar and Ivory Coast, which were lost to Spain. If Britain has any territories left, it might be small islands here and there.

We're almost done with the stuff we need to get sorted before we move the RP here. After we're done with the summaries, all we'll need is an OOC thread. And hopefully, an OOC thread with everything laid out nicely will attract a bigger crowd.

We have chunks of map. Not all of them are finished, as we still have a dude working on the east, but I can show you what we have done.











Imma note that Spain, Prussia, Armenia, the Pan-African Empire, China, and possibly both Persia and Brazil are reserved. They are claimed by people who had them in the old thread, and those people will want to pick them up.

I'll choose who to play once I see the summaries.

We are waiting on our Asia/Russia to do things, otherwise we just have a few summaries for Europe and the Middle East to do.

AND IF ASIA DOESN'T GET TO WORK, I'LL TAKE OVER AND GIVE IT ALL TO CHIANG KAI-SHEK!

We'll split Asia between Ethiopia, Prussia and Armenia. Hell, we'll even give Chap's Georgia a chunk. And the new players can fight to the death for whatever is left.

I'm eager to see the summaries, just to see how the world managed to get /this/ screwed up.

You'll love to read about the US and Canada. In the early days of PoW, it wasn't as strict. So a lot of weird shit happened. The US and Canada are a testimony to what PoW used to be. To put it short and bluntly, it was a clusterfuck. We ended up redoing the entire US canon so it made more sense. But to be honest, it's still fucking weird. But it's the best that can be done without completely wiping the canon (which we can't do cause there's too many things tied to it).

The rest of the world isn't as bad. Even some of the weird things that happened back in the day can pass as being plausible.

We've cut down what we can and completely changed a few of the more insane things. Hopefully it will all be accessible.

The most insane thing is the Pan-African Empire.
