I love to read and can give a description of almost everything I read ;) but that's not particularly useful in the real world.

I suck at sociology. I nearly failed that class ;) I do better with psychology.

I'm good with seeing patterns in people, which most people that know me find surprising. I have a core of really close friends, but other than that, I'm pretty quiet and observe people more than I interact with them. This makes people think I'm shy or antisocial, when in reality, I'd rather be watching and learning than talking my head off.

Then I dub thee an introvert. Everything you described is pure introvert. We usually are not antisocial. Just we think more. Heck I always take the advisor role in situations requiring it.
