7:30 AM, April 9th 2018.

And they say New York is the city that never sleeps. Terrence had gone to bed early that night (i.e. at 10:50) so he could cram in a few extra hours of sleep, but so many cars were passing by his window it was impossible to sleep. Thankfully, he didn't run on sleep, but coffee. Though he still sometimes thought that if he moved into the family home, instead of making a makeshift home in his office at Birch House, he wouldn't be in this mess.

He was currently standing over his desk, papers piled high, with a mug of coffee in his hand. He had far too much work to do today, but how was that different from usual. Without his work, he told himself what felt like every day, then the ecosystem of budding talent upstairs would cease to exist. And there was no way in hell that he'd leave it up to Marianne and Will: his lazy cousins. They didn't care about the building as he did, and shirked all responsibilities to do with it, in favour of going out clubbing.

As he sat down, he could hear chattering and footsteps above him. The lobby was already buzzing with people. He had set up his home/office in the basement of the building, and the lobby was just above. The lobby was a popular hangout for the many residents of the apartment block, so when he got the place he decided to make it into a 'common room', he added in a drinks machine, many more sofas, a television, and put in lots of powerpoints so people could charge their devices. He was very proud of his work.

He worked for ten minutes, fighting the need for sleep with the ultimate weapon: caffeine. But enough was enough. Part of his daily routine was the visit the lobby in the morning, listen to any gripes people had with the building or suggestions as to how he could make things better, check that everybody was in a job, and overall have a chat with whoever wanted a chat. He saw himself as a substitute father figure to all his tenants. Lots of them had terrible childhoods and needed someone to look out for them whilst they were living alone. That's what he was there for.

He walked up the stairs, coffee still in hand, and into the lobby. He was hit with a wave of chatter, friendly conversation between likeminded people. To him it was beautiful. That's what he liked to see. He turned his head quickly as someone called his name.

"Good morning Mr Walsh!"

"Morning, Laurie! How's that job in Spago coming?"

"It's awesome. Thanks for your help with that."

"Anytime! That's what I'm here for!" He called, sitting down on a sofa in the corner, content with watching his tenants mingle.

Zack Davis

8:20 AM, April 9th, 2018
Zack lounged in his bed still sore from his last fight. It was a fight for the IBF, IBO, and IBA welterweight titles. He won but his opponent did a whole lot of damage to his 26-year-old body. His name was Sugar Ray Williams a fighter that was considered to be superior to Sugar Ray Robinson offensively, and better than Pernell Whitaker, Floyd Mayweather, James Toney, and Willie Pep Defensively often regarded as the second best fighter in history formerly, now the third best following his loss to Zack. And it wasn't a fluke as both fighters were at their prime and they're simply a huge difference in skill and ring Iq.And then he remembered he had a video to record. So he got his lazy ass
off the bed and sat on the chair of his youtube station. He turned the recording on and said"Hey guys it's me Zackipu the king of diverse content, and before we start the video I know a lot of you Mx.'s couldn't watch the fight last night but if you want to watch ringside of how the fight went click on the card here" He pointed at air, but he'd fix it in editing and then continued to say"and if you want my merch, click here for clothing and here for equipment" He pointed to the southern left and northen left side of the screen respectively." Now onto the video, welcome back to overwatch today we are playing as my very own character SuperZ, I can't wait" He spawned into a game and presumed to take part of the best 3 hours of his life."so SuperZ is basically every hero on steroids with uber-powerful ultimates, yeah you heard ultimates with an s, yeah he's banned in competitive gaming he's that good and uh... let's use him" He explained to his audience.Okay time to move out, but running is really boring so time to use this baby" His character then turned into a motorcycle with a mounted 12-milliliter cannon." this is awesome, time murder everyone, hey widowmaker nice to see you, just kidding blah it's just too easy The next 2 hours and 30 minutes could be described in 2 very bad wordsfuck and bitch. " that's the video guys this was the most fun I've ever had just playing overwatch, that's the video and I'll see you guys next time" Zack gave a two finger salute stopped recording put off editing till later, picked up a red bull and watched Eddie Murphy Raw.

Regina Fierce

7:06 AM, April 9th 2018.

Regina woke up from the chirping of birds on her bedroom's open window. She yawned and stretched, then her body reminded her that she has "garbage waiting to be thrown out" and hurriedly proceeded to her bathroom. She quickly snatched her phone first though.

7:39 AM

Regina came out of her bedroom after she made her bed. She took the time in her bathroom to freshen up so she can look less like a "human abomination" to more like a "human being". She decided to just keep things casual and natural so she wore an over-sized "FLAWLESS" t-shirt that goes all the way to her knees and black pajama shorts. She also only applied little make-up and left her natural long, black hair as it is. She heard rumors that boys find girls hot if they just looked like they woken up.

Not that she would know, of course.

She arrived at the lobby and saw a bunch of other people were already conversing with one another. Silently observing the group of people before her, she just realized why this place is called the City of Angels: everybody here's so freaking good-looking! Even without make-up, the ladies are all stunning in their own way and the men are oh so dazzling and charming. Regina can't contain her excitement just thinking about the future where they all are successful in their own craft, being able to work and party hard together. Though despite being a party animal herself, Regina's a bit shy so she doesn't know her co-tenants that much so she swore to herself that she will get to know them better starting this day.

Just then, Regina's tummy grumbled. Oh yeah. Food first, then talk, she thought to herself. She proceeded to the kitchen and put some slices of bread on the toaster. While waiting, she poured hot milk on her mug and took a few sips. After a few moments, she put the toasted bread on her plate and spread cream cheese on them. She brought her food at the lobby and set it atop the table so she can eat while mingling with her potential friends.

Among the group, Regina glanced at Terrence Walsh, the owner of Birch House, talking with another one of his tenants. While he does seem cute, he's way too old for Regina's taste. Though she thought that any girl would be lucky to have such a nice, hardworking gentleman such as Terrence to be their husband. Regina looked up to him as the father she didn't and could've had. Not that her drag parents weren't viable father figures themselves, she just thought having a straight-as-a-line father figure would be a nice change.

Regina approached the man while holding her mug of hot milk as soon as he finished talking to the lady. "Lovely morning, Mr. Walsh! I know I've been saying this a couple of times already, but words aren't enough to thank you for letting me have another place to call a home. If there's anything you want me to do at all, you know where to find me", she said to Walsh.

Just like every other night, Zanelle had stayed up until the sun had begun to rise again. In fact, she didn't finally close her eyes and get some sleep until about six o'clock in the morning. That didn't last for long, however. Fifty minutes later, she was out of bed and running around her kitchen, searching for the box of coffee pods for her personal coffee maker. “Just four hours,” the young woman mumbled to herself as she ripped open the box of caramel macchiato coffee pods, “Four hours… four hours…” Zanelle had a total of four and a half hours before her big meeting with a Hollywood agent, a meeting which she had spent the last few nights excitedly preparing for. Unfortunately, her excitement wore off pretty quickly, and was instantly replaced with gut feelings of dread and nervousness. Her hands trembled a little as she dropped two spoonfuls of sugar into her empty coffee mug; the shaking stopped the instant that coffee touched the tip of her tongue. "I'm such a fucking mess..." Zanelle muttered under her breath before downing the cup in a few gulps and returning to her bedroom.

In just thirty minutes, Zanelle had showered, thrown on a presentable outfit, and run a comb through her hair. She'd even applied a little bit of makeup, being careful not to "overdo" it as she usually did. She wanted to leave a certain impression on the agent, one that said "I'm refreshed, awake, and ready to work hard" rather than "I'm trying to mask just how tired I am with this face full of makeup." By the time she'd exited her apartment and locked the door behind her, it was about half past seven, which gave her more than enough time to socialize with the other tenants before heading out in search of her destination. Although she'd only lived in the apartment building for two short months, Zanelle had already become acquainted with a few of the other residents. She was still fairly new to California, however, which would explain why her eyes were so fixated on her cell phone as she rode the elevator down to the main floor. Google Maps was telling her exactly where she needed to be and which route was the quickest. "I really wish they had a subway here," Zanelle said to herself right as the elevator doors opened.

"Good morning, you two," Zanelle nodded to Regina and Terrance as she made her way towards one of the couches that sat not too far away. She waved hello to a few of the others that she didn't know all too well before plopping down on the sofa and staring at her phone once more. Her destination was less than thirty minutes away, but still too far to walk. That is, unless she actually wanted to sweat out her hair and ruin her makeup. "Looks like I'll be calling an Uber," Zanelle muttered to herself before rolling her eyes and switching over to the right app. "Expensive motherfuckers."

6:00 AM, April 9th 2018.

The seemingly blaring alarm from Lionel's phone jolted the young man awake, his eyelids snapping open as he attempted to figure out what was going on. When he recognized the sound, his hands fumbled for the phone before he managed to tap on the screen and indicate he wanted the pain to end, collapsing back into his position with a small groan of sadness that his rest was once again done until tonight. He had spent the previous night editing one of his newer videos, but he decided to wake up a little earlier than usual to put the finishing touches on it before he could upload it today, as per his schedule. It wasn't anything special, just needed to finish another simple demo-reel on the various character concepts he felt he could portray accurately, and he even added character designs he had drawn for each voice. All he really had to do now was add those into the designated spots he had written down, along with using the right expressions so that it felt they had a semblance of a personality, and to give those interested in watching this slight detour from his regular uploads. Rest assured, he still had a regularly scheduled video uploading, but he wanted to put extra care in this one, even if it didn't need it.

Reaching for his glasses on the drawer next to him, he was too lazy to go off and put on his contacts at this moment, he shoved the blankets off of himself and walked over to his computer setup, giving a thumbs up to himself when he noticed that indeed, all that was left for his other video was to wait for Youtube to upload it at the designated time. Lionel stretched, cracking his knuckles as he pressed alt+tab and opened up his editing software. It had to have been well over an hour before his VA video, too, began the process of being processed by Youtube before it would be uploaded. Satisfied, it was finally time to get ready to face whatever the day would throw at him.
7:42 AM, April 9th, 2018.

Refreshed and satisfied with his appearance, he was going for a casual look with a camo muscle shirt with black shorts and styling his short hair into its iconic look, he wondered if anyone else would be up at the time. It was fairly early, sure, but he felt it was time to stop being so socialize instead of seeming nonexistent in the place. He remembered that when he looked into moving to Hollywood, this place was known for its aspiring artists and the like, so maybe they’d be good to know? As much as he hated to admit it, he could definitely use a bit more friendly faces to talk to… Sure he was a couple months late in that department, but talking to yourself for so long really starts to wear the soul down, and he definitely didn’t want to start making a Wilson to fill the void that was lingering. With determination welling up inside him, he eventually broke free from the hesitation holding him back and locked the apartment behind him, heading for the stairs to head towards the lobby. He kept telling himself that if he wasn’t a complete wreck when talking to the other tenants, he could reward himself with a good breakfast from like an IHOP or Dennys before heading off to

Reaching the lobby, he was actually surprised to see so many people up and about. If he didn’t need to finish editing that darn video, he definitely wouldn’t have woken up so early as he liked his rest. He started to clench his fists a little as the anxiety that was replacing his determination was building up before he finally took a deep breath to relax. They were just people like him, and not like the family he left back home, not to mention they barely knew him too. Conversation should be simple because of that, right? Sighing a little, he waved to the other tenants before spotting a familiar sight: Terrence! Leo eagerly took Terry as a good opportunity to join in on his conversation, as there was someone else there with him. Leo had seen the woman around occasionally, but he never reached out to talk like he was now. Now was a better time than any...

“Hey Terry, it’s nice to see a familiar face this early in the morning,” he said, bowing his head slightly as a small sign of respect before pausing to face Regina, a slightly noticeable smile appearing on his face as he continued with his own introduction, “Fresh faces are good to see too. I’m Lionel, but you can just call me Leo.” He told her, extending his hand for a handshake.
