Roxas went from zero to 100 in a second. Jax was yelling at him and walking towards him as if to kick his ass. It had been a while sense he was in a real fight. His eyes turned red and in that second he was ready. Morthos stepped in the way and stopped Jax from getting any closer. "Let her come Morthos I'm ready." The demonic voice of Ifrit, that everyone knew to well, had surfaced. His eyes blood red unlike ever before and Roxas could feel he was trying to take over. Before anything could happen though, he slapped himself hard in the face and went down to the floor. "Shut up go away." "No. I've been cooped up to long." Another slap. "I said leave!" Roxas was louder this time. Ophelia had started to walk over to him but, he held up his hand to stop her. "I'm fine." He said in a low voice. That hadn't happened in a long time almost more than a month actually.

Roxas slowly got up by himself then looked back over at Morthos and Jax. "I didn't mean to shoot her. I didn't even know it was her. Do you really think I would shoot Ophelia on purpose?" He was a little frustrated at this point. Most of it pointing towards Ophelia for telling Jax. He had completely forgotten about being mad at her before until now too. There would be a long conversation in their future. "I thought she was someone I thought was dead a long time ago. When I got home after our last mission I went into shock and started to hallucinate. I tried to sleep it off but, it didn't work. When I had woken up I heard someone in my house and walked over to grab my gun. I knew at that point that I was not okay and that if someone was in trying to rob me or kill me then they were getting a bullet. When the door opened, a woman by the name of Eileen walked in. I knew she should have been dead and I shot at her. From there Ophelia told me I fell out of my chair and was knocked out." The events of that night started to play in his head. He wasn't happy about what he did and still felt bad about shooting Ophelia. She never brought it up but, it still hing over his head.

Knowing that they were going to ask, Roxas started to talk about Eileen. "Eileen's full title was Eileen the Crow. She was a very powerful woman who I worked along side with for a few years. When I first met her, she told me that there was a way to help get rid of Ifrit and keep my life. It wasn't long after Celti died, so I took her up. When really endded up happening was that she used me. I was her puppet in this game she had. Once I finally figured it all out, I knew something had to be done. She was getting more powerful by the day and if she were to let me lose at the time... Well lets just say it wouldn't be a good outcome. So I killed her." Roxas clinched his fist. Obviously there was more but, he wasn't going to say anything else after that. "If you want to know why I've been on edge lately, it's because I think she might be following us. I didn't say anything because I have no proof of this and it could just be another hallucination. Also before you say 'Lets kick her ass' I'm going to tell you right now she would kill you in a second." This wasn't how he wanted to tell everyone. Yeah he was hurt by Jax's comment but, he tried not to let it show. Jax was his best friend aside from Ophelia and the last thing he wanted to do was piss her off. It didn't matter at this point. She was pissed but, he told her what she wanted. Now all he wanted to do was go lay down.

Jax glared up at Morthos, but shut up about him moving out of the way, knowing he was right about fighting in his house. When she heard Ilfrit's voice her own eyes turned green and she stepped forward, "Oh try me Demon. You're only lucky you are stuck in his head because I am ready to rip you a new one."

When Roxas seemed to be struggling with Ilfrit in his mind Jax reigned in her anger, her pentagram hands and eyes returning to normal. She was quiet as she listened to him, holding her words in as he carried on. When he was done, her body posture was more relaxed but her tone was sharp and forward, "Bullshit Roxas. BULLSHIT! I know you love Ophelia, and you wouldn't hurt her if you were functioning properly, but I do not like the fact you shot her by accident. YOU DON'T FUCKING SHOOT PEOPLE ON ACCIDENT! YOUR DAMN LUCKY SHE WAS A VAMPIRE! YOUR DAMN LUCKY SHE WASN'T A HUMAN OR ELSE SHE WOULD BE SERIOUSLY FUCKING DAMAGED! MY SISTER'S LIFE IS MORE THAN AN ACCIDENT. REMEMBER THAT!"

She took a step forward, her expression livid as rage filled her features. She was shaking uncontrollably now, "AS FOR EILEEN OR WHOEVER THIS BITCH IS! I CAN ACCEPT YOUR WARNINGS! I CAN ACCEPT THE FACT YOU THINK SHE'S DANGEROUS. WHAT I CAN'T ACCEPT IS YOU HIDING IT FROM ME AND MORTHOS. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR INTENTIONS WERE. EVEN IF THEY WERE IN OUR INTEREST. IF SHE IS STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE US OUT, THEN WE SHOULD OF BEEN PREPARING FOR HER. WE ARE A FUCKING TEAM! GOD DAMN IT. YOU DON'T TRUST US AND YOU PUT US IN DANGER BECAUSE OF IT! I CAN'T. I AM SO MAD AT YOU RIGHT NOW!"

She turned to her sister, "AND YOU! YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS THE WHOLE TIME AND DIDN'T TELL US EITHER. I AM JUST AS PISSED AT YOU AS I AM WITH HIM! I JUST...WHERE'S MY ROOM! WHERE IS IT!"

Morthos pointed to a door and Jax walked over to it without looking back, "THIS TEAM IS A GOD DAMN JOKE! GOOD NIGHT! HAVE A GREAT FUCKING SLEEP ASSHOLES!"

Ophelia watched as Jax and Roxas began arguing. Her eyes widened slightly as Morthos stepped in between them. Almost immediately after though, Jax started shouting angry again after Roxas explained about Eileen. But she wasn't just getting mad at Roxas. She eventually turned her attention to Ophelia and began getting mad at her as well. Ophelia simply watched Jax's face and listened to her speak. Before she walked away, Ophelia spoke up.

"There are more important things than something that might not even be real, Jax Kariana. No offense Roxas..." Ophelia stated. She felt annoyed and tired. Finally Jax stormed off to a bedroom and Ophelia then turned to Morthos.

"I'm sorry about all of this. I know you probably just want to get some rest so we can help your mom. I understand that this seems out of the blue, but in my eyes it wasn't something of immediate importance... Let's get some rest."

Ophelia let out a long sigh and turned to Roxas. She wasn't looking forward to spending a night with him; the first time since being with him. She knew he was gonna get mad at her about the potion thing. And now also about the Eileen thing. She walked into the room and simply sat on the bed, waiting.

Roxas watched as Jax left the room. Her words lingered with him for a while. They angered him more than he had been in a while. “I knew this team thing wasn't going to work.” He said lightly under his breath. His words were shaky and his fists clenched. Before leaving the room to find something to punch, he gave a look to Ophelia then left. He had no idea where the hell he was, just that he wanted to leave.

After walking around for a while, Roxas finally found a training room which seemed to be empty. “Good.” Was all that needed to be said. The place was already set up with a punching bag which made things easier. Roxas took out his mask then placed it on his face. He walked over to the punching bag then slowly ripped off the mask. It was painful but, felt great in this moment.

A loud scream escaped his mouth then he was engulfed in blue flames. The bag didn't even stand the first punch which was a let down right off the bat. Roxas looked around the room then saw Ophelia standing at the door. He was still covered in flames and didn't bother to put them out. “Hi.” A mix of his voice and the demonic voice rang through the room.

When Roxas didn’t come to the bedroom right after her, she decided to go find out where he had gone to. She roamed the hallways searching quietly. She wasn’t super worried that something might be wrong, but she also knew she needed to talk to him about the stuff that had happened before arriving here, and after they did.

Finally she heard Roxas scream and she appeared outside the room in a moment’s time. She stood in the doorway, and Roxas greeted her. Though the voice wasn’t fully his own. He was also completely engulfed in blue flame, and he wore the mask that she recognized only too well by now. It was burned into her memory from the night she first met him.

“What are you doing?” Ophelia said. Her voice was neutral, only wavering to worried at the end. Her blue eyes watched him and her stomach felt tight. She breathed in slowly, barely recognizing Roxas’ scent. His aura was strange and she felt uneasy.

Roxas could see that Ophelia was uneasy so he slowly reached up and took off the mask. The flames disappeared quickly and all was normal again. “I was blowing off steam.” He said in a low voice. “I figured you'd be asleep by now.” His words a little harsh but, more hurt. He was still angry but, he didn't want to take it out on Ophelia. Though he was mad that she held the sleeping potion from him. What happened to telling one another everything?

Ophelia watched as Roxas shifted back to normal. He answered her question directly and honestly, for the most part. But it was the second comment that stung. She immediately wanted to get angry. How would he even know what it’s like to never be able to sleep next to the person you loved and cared about? It was such a mundane thing, but to her it was everything, almost.

“Is there something wrong with wishing for that?” She asked him, her voice small, though not timid.

Roxas just looked at Ophelia as she spoke. “I'm not angry that you want to sleep, Ophelia. I'm angry that you didn't tell me. I've been open with you with everything and you couldn't tell me this. I wouldn't be so mad if you did.” His voice calm but, his fists were clenched again. His nails dig into the palm and they started to bleed. Not badly but, enough to notice. It hurt. Not enough to care.

“I didn’t tell you because of two reasons. The first being I knew if I told you, you wouldn’t have let me go gather the items to make the potion. And the second being, that sleeping is something your kind is so used to, you don’t even think twice about it. But to me, Roxas? It’s almost unheard of. Maybe if you weren’t so selfish and weren’t thinking about other women and bullshit, you’d realize that.”

At this point Ophelia could smell his blood and she watched as it slowly moved from his palm and fingertips, downward and onto the floor. The sound of it falling and splashing wouldn’t of been heard by any human. But her eyes narrowed in on it and she was angry again, even more so than before. Her eyes shifted from blue to black almost within seconds, and she realized she was instantly thirsty. And that mixed with anger was fatal.

“You want to hit me? Go ahead.”

At Ophelia's last comment, Roxas lost it. The knives he had hid in his sleeves slipped out and he hurled them at the glass walls behind him. The glass shattered instantly and the knives crashed to the ground. “You think I would stoop so low as to hit you?!” He yelled then turned around. “You seem angry enough! How about you just rip my throat out? Finish what you started day one!” At this point Roxas was seeing red. He tried to calm himself down by breathing slowly.

Once calm Roxas closed his eyes for a second then opened them back up. “I would have gone to help you.” He said. More calm now than before. “I know you can't fall asleep and I've always felt bad about it. I even tried to stay up with you a few times. You also know I don't think about other women. I only think about you and I've only ever wanted you since the day we've met. You know this.” He wanted to walk towards her but, couldn't move.

Ophelia let herself feel the anger coursing through her. She hadn’t truly felt this way in a long time, and it was very, very strange. She breathed in slow and deep through her nose. The mixture of Morthos’ home, and Roxas’ blood surrounded her. Then she finally spoke again, after what seemed like a long time. Except this time her words came from right in front of Roxas.

Her face was millimetres away from his. And her breath which was cool and sweet, moved against his lips. Her fingers were around his throat and her long nails pressed to the skin at the back of his neck.

“Maybe I should have just killed you then, if that’s how you truly feel.”

“Then do it.” Roxas looked right into Ophelia's eyes. He wasn't afraid of her. There wasn't many things he was afraid of. The moment seemed to last forever before anything happened. He continued to look at her and waited.

Ophelia’s grip tightened for just a second, and then she let go of his throat, only to reach and grab his wrist. She brought his arm up and spread his fist out into an open palm. The movement was easy beneath her strength, and she brought her lips to his hand. The slice from his nails was fairly small, but either way she was able to drink from him.

As she calmed down, she let his hand drop to his side again. She looked at him, though didn’t say much of anything at this point. Her voice felt weird, almost sore even though she hadn’t been shouting. She took a step away from Roxas then.

Roxas let Ophelia drink from his hand, at this point he was used to it. It was almost a warm feeling having her drink from him. When she was done, his hand fell back to his side and Ophelia took a step back. “Feel better?” He closed the gap between them then pulled her into a hug. “I'm sorry.” He said gently. He wasn't sure how she was feeling right now but, he was tired of being mad and just wanted things to get better.

Over the last few weeks, the time between Ophelia’s feedings were growing shorter. She figured it was due to all the missions and schooling that she was doing. It felt like she hadn’t fed in weeks rather than just a few days. Her anger was mostly gone now, and her throat was beginning to slowly feel better, and Roxas pulled her into a hug.

“Please don’t be upset with me for something so harmless… You wouldn't of understood.” She said, her voice gentle and even.

“I'm not mad at you anymore. It was stupid of me to be mad at you. I was just upset that you didn't tell me. It doesn't matter now. Nothing's worth getting angry to the point of that argument.” Roxas held her tight then took her hand in his. “Also for the record. I'm with you because I want to be.” He smiled.

“Even so, maybe something about you scares me. I was worried. But next time I’ll try my best to tell you,” Ophelia spoke again. She felt sick to her stomach suddenly and her eyes moved to the ground.

“Ophelia, I wouldn’t tell you ‘No you can’t get what you need to sleep.’ I know how important it is to you.” Roxas noticed as Ophelia’s eyes hit the ground. She did seem a little off today. “Is something wrong? You’ve been looking really sick all ever since we got here.” He took her hand gently. He didn’t know if she was able to get sick or not, he never really asked.

The moment that Roxas mentioned that she looked really sick, she leaned forward and vomited on the floor next to him. She growled slightly when she was finished. She felt annoyed and exhausted and was tired of feeling sick and not knowing why. Her eyes stung with tears and she kept her gaze away from his, feeling embarrassed and annoyed.

Roxas took a step to the side as Ophelia vomited all over the ground. He quickly grabbed her hair and held it back for her. Once she was done, she wouldn’t look at him. Probably not wanting to after that. “I’m starting to get a little worried. We should get you to bed if you’re feeling sick.” He took his sleeve then wiped her mouth with it before picking her up and carrying her to their room. Once she was down on the bed, Roxas grabbed a cold wet towel and placed it against her forehead. He didn’t really know what to do past that. Neither one of them knew what was wrong. Instead he just tried to lighten the mood. “I’m guessing whoever goes into that room tomorrow is going to wonder what the hell happened.” He smiled and laughed a little, trying to make her feel a little better.

Ophelia nodded gently and let Roxas carry her to the guest room. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and then curled up in the bed. Roxas placed a cool, wet cloth on her forehead. Roxas joked gently with her and she barely heard what he was saying before she fell asleep. The first time in her Vampire life, without the sleeping potion.

Roxas noticed that Ophelia had fallen asleep and he smiled at her. He loved her and felt really bad about getting mad and yelling. He walked over and sat by her before changing and getting into the bed. Gently pulling the covers over them, Roxas kissed Ophelia then fell asleep. “I’m sorry.” He whispered one more time before passing out.

~-~-~
When Ophelia woke up the next morning, she knew she would need to speak to Jax. She sighed softly and looked over beside her for a moment to see Roxas still asleep next to her. She smiled a little and then leaned close to kiss him. She kissed his lips and then kissed his cheek and forehead before getting up out of the bed and heading across the hall to Jax’s room.

Morthos just sighed as Jax stormed off then Ophelia apologized, "don't worry about it. I understand wanting to keep some things private but as soon as it can affect the rest of us it becomes all of our problem. But whatever, it's out there now, I'm over it. You two get some rest, you can share a room or sleep separately, I'm not your dad. I'm gonna talk with Jax real quick, see you in the morning."

Morthos knocked on Jax's door and cracked it open a little, "knock knock, you better be decent because I'm coming in." He gave her a couple of seconds to cover up if she happened to be changing before coming in and closing the door behind him. "Do you wanna talk about what happened? I know you'd much rather punch Roxas in his dumb face but I don't think that would help things too much."

Jax was just putting on her Captain Gizmo pajama's when she heard Morthos enter. She remained silent, knowing he would come in which he did a few seconds later. She turned to look at him pulling up her copper coloured hair in a bun, "It would make me feel better though." She clenched her fist pulling out her robot slippers from her bag and let out a grumpled snarl, "THEY JUST MAKE ME SO MAD! I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU AREN'T AS MAD AS I AM RIGHT NOW! THEY LIED TO YOU TO!"

Morthos sat on the bed and sighed, "I just don't have it in me to be that angry at people. Yes they lied but they're also our friends and they had their reasons." Morthos looked around the room, it was quite large, probably leaving one to imagine how big the main bedrooms must be if these were just the rooms meant for guests. "There's also the fact that if I lost control of my emotions I might burn down my whole estate, but ya know, that's not really the point." Morthos said that part in a jokey way, but there was also a serious undercurrent to what he was saying, like maybe he was speaking from experience.

Jax watched him sit on the bed and she placed her hands on her hip, exhausted and frustrated that no one was at her level, "You think I'm overreacting don't you! You all do!" She turned away from him, "How are we supposed to fight as a team if we are hiding things from each other? If we aren't much of a challenge for her then why aren't we doing anything to fight her!" She started yelling again, not able to calm down, "IF THEY DON'T THINK I AM STRONG ENOUGH TO PROTECT THEM OR TO TRUST ME WITH THAT INFORMATION THEN WHY THE HELL ARE WE IN A TEAM!"

Morthos got up and walked over to Jax, putting his hands on her shoulders and running them partway down her arms, "I don't think you're overreacting, it's perfectly valid to be angry. I've been angry at so many people in my life that I've gotten over it." He pulled her close to him in a backwards hug, hoping it would help calm her down, "after today I'm sure there won't be any more secrets like this kept from the group. Starting right now, I'll tell you a secret, it's nothing huge. You know my uncle, the one who is apparently in charge and also gave you those demonology books? Not a big fan of the guy, not too happy he's in charge." Morthos' skin started to heat up as he thought of his uncle sitting on the throne, not so hot that it would hurt Jax, but she would definitely notice. "If he does anything to harm my people...." Morthos didn't even finish the thought, the threat was there.

Jax was slightly startled when Morthos came up behind her, but she immediately started to calm down when he pulled her close. She closed her eyes, bringing up her hands to touch his arms. She leaned into him enjoying the comfort and warmth that she wasn't used to getting recently. She also felt selfish knowing that through all this drama, the person who was probably feeling the most anger was Morthos. She listened to him speak about his uncle, and felt his body heat change. She sighed turning around to hug him properly, her face resting on his shoulder, "We won't let him. I don't know why you aren't a fan of your uncle but nothing is going to happen to your mom. I promise...No one else may believe this, but we can be quite fearsome if we put our minds to it." She hugged him tighter, enjoying the closeness between them that they haven't had since he started dating Melony. At the thought of her she hugged him tighter almost possessively before she pulled away sighing, "I am sorry for being so selfish. I will try to put my pride aside for the mean time. We obviously have larger issues to deal with."

Morthos was glad Jax had calmed down, it felt nice hugging her, he was a bit sad when they stopped. "We can talk with the others all you want once we get my mom back safe and sound," his voice cracked at the end of his sentence and tears were welling up in his eyes. "Damn it, I didn't want you to see this. I'm just worried about my mom," he wiped his eyes off with his sleeve, "could I stay with you tonight? Would that be horribly inappropriate? I just don't wanna be in my room tonight, alone with my thoughts." What was he doing asking to stay with Jax? He had a girlfriend, although it wasn't like they'd be doing anything, it was literally just he didn't want to feel alone, that's fine, right?

Jax knew what her answer should be. It was always no. It had to be no, so she didn't understand why she blurted out, "Yes. Of course you can." She took his hand and pulled him down onto the bed with her, grabbing a few blankets to cover them. She pulled him down beside her, reaching out to wipe away his tears as she lay beside him unsure if he wanted her to snuggle up to him or not. She just waited letting him do with her whatever he needed.

Morthos was glad Jax had said yes, they lied in the quite large bed and as he got comfy he just lightly placed an arm over her. Nothing too intimate, it was just so that he knew someone else was there with him. "Thank you Jax, good night," Morthos mumbled as he drifted off to sleep.

Jax was up and out of bed by around five, moving away from Morthos to grab a few tombs she had brought with her. She re-read some passages about arch demons and spells that she could re-work to suit her magic. After awhile, she touched her cross, putting the book down to get up and sit by the window. She shut her eyes reinforcing prayers to her two gods and the path she took between them. Halfway through her words a knock was heard on the door. She paused feeling a sense of foreboding. Something evil was hiding behind that door. Instinct screamed at her to be wary. She shook her head walking over to the handle, pausing only for a few minutes before opening it. She let out a short sigh when she saw it was Ophelia, her sisterly bond pushing away the instinct. She turned to look at Morthos who seemed to still be fast asleep before moving into the hallway and shutting the door. She rubbed her eyes before crossing her arms, “I am still mad, but I understand I need to control my temper sometimes, especially when we have bigger issues to deal with. So I apologize for getting so heated.”

Ophelia listened to Jax speak after stepping out into the hallway. She nodded gently and then spoke up. “I’m sorry I didn’t say anything sooner. I know I should have. But like I said last night, I haven’t seen nor heard from this Eileen person. I don’t know for sure if she’s not dead. Or if Roxas is just… getting worse?” She sighed softly at the truth in her words, pausing.

When she continued, her eyes connected with Jax’, and they were dark though her voice did not match the darkness her eyes showed. “We are a team. I promise you from now on I will make sure we talk about things that might be of importance. On the other side, I do think that you let your temper take control of your words sometimes… But I forgive you.”

Jax listened patiently, feeling immediately better after getting that out in the open. She moved over to her sister and gave her a hug, “Thank you. I know I’ve been a bit crazy these past few days. As you know I have my period...so my emotions are just having a party. It’s not a good excuse but...yeah.”

She let out a sigh, happy that Ophelia didn’t mention anything about Morthos sleeping in her bed. That shouldn’t have happened and it only could lead to questions that she really didn’t want to answer right now.

Ophelia stopped and her throat, though already burning, tightened up and she couldn’t speak for a moment. When she cleared her throat, she tried to ensure her voice was smooth. “What did you say?”

Jax stopped and gave her a confused expression, “Huh? I said it’s not a good excuse?”

“Jax… I don’t have my period right now…” was all Ophelia was able to say in response. She felt overwhelmed and extremely tired in this moment.

“What do you mean? Of course you have your period. We always have them at the same…” Jax’s eyes widened. She moved to the other side of the hallway and sat beside a table of flowers on a small stool looking over at her sister, “Are you sick?”

Ophelia thought about the past few days and what’s been going on, and how she’s been feeling. “Well yeah I’ve been getting sick a lot, but I assumed it was from using the ley line and then maybe from the sleeping potion… But I got sick last night too after talking to Roxas…” Her voice wavered and cracked at the end of her sentence and her eyes stung with tears.

Jax shoved her hands through her hair, “Have you and Roxas been careful?”

She sat up, no judgment in her expression, just concern, “You don’t think that you’re? Can you... even without a potion or something?”

“What do you mean without a potion or something? I literally don’t know anything about this… It wasn’t really something I studied during my classes Jax… What should I do!” Ophelia began pacing around the hallway, trying to keep her voice down so she wouldn’t wake the boys.

Jax stood up and raised her hands, “Calm down..it’s alright. It might just be a bad case of blood. Maybe you ate a really sick dude or something. Got a bad batch. Maybe. It doesn’t mean your pregnant!”

“I haven’t fed on another human for a long time Jax… I’ve been hunting animals and feeding from Roxas mostly. When did we go to the club?” Ophelia said, moving toward her sister and her voice sounding panicked. She placed her hands on Jax’s shoulders and tried to think back to see if it lined up, or if this was just some weird thing happening.

“Uh...A month or so ago I think..It was like a few days before our first mission.” Jax spoke, “Wait..have you and Roxas been...you know doing it, without protection? I mean how did this even happen...if you are? God...we are going to be fighting a demon soon. If you are you shouldn’t be put into danger. Oh dear god. Oh dear god.” Jax started to pace mumbling to herself about the variables.

“Well that night after the club… Yeah I guess… I don’t wanna talk about that! TMI. But try to calm down… I can fight perfectly fine! I’ll be fine… We’ll fight this demon and kick it’s ass and then… and then it’ll be fine. Right?” Ophelia looked up at Jax expectantly, feeling scared for once.

Jax paused for a second, scared and unsure about any of this but she knew she had to be a big sister right now, so she put on her confident smile, “Hell yeah it will be fine. If your not...then we stay more safe sex conscious in the future. If you are...then that kid is going to be part of the greatest family in existence! Alright. When you get a moment though..you need to phone mom! She should know the most about this stuff.”

Ophelia nodded and wiped at her eyes with the back of her hands. “I promise I will call her when things aren’t so chaotic here. I think worrying about Morthos’ mom is priority right now. Thank you Jax… for not yelling at me about this… I know I don’t really know that much stuff…” She moved and hugged Jax tightly to her for a long moment. She wasn’t sure how long they had though before the boys woke up.

Jax hugged her sister, tears welling up in her eyes, “Okay...I love you, ya know, and I want you to be so careful today. If anything happened to you, I swear I would raise the entire underworld in response. God..I don’t know how I am going to keep this all a secret. You know I suck at hiding things.”

“I will worry about telling the boys. You need to focus on getting rid of this bastard demon… Okay? I love you too Jax.”

Jax nodded, “Alright. Let’s wake em up and get going. Faster we get to dealing with this asshole, faster we get you a pregnancy test.”

Suddenly she turned as the door opened and looked over at Morthos, “We made up!”

Roxas woke the next morning by himself. He looked over and saw that Ophelia wasn't there. 'Must have gone to talk to Jax.' He thought to himself as he started to get up. Walking towards the door, Roxas hear Ophelia's voice quietly through the wall. Instead of walking out and interupting them, he just went to take a shower and change. To his surprise all his clothes were hung up in the closet. "Umm. Okay?" Roxas felt a little odd about the situation, but didn't bother to care. All that mattered was he didn't have to use someone else's clothes.

The shower didn't take to long, just an in and out kind of deal. He wanted to go and talk to Jax and apologize to her. He should have been open with her about everything from the start. She was his best friend and all. Once all changed, Roxas made his way to the door again. This time the voices sounded a little more hysterical than normal. Before he could make out what they were saying, they stopped. It sounded liked Morthos must have made his way out the door. Guess it was his turn to make and entrance. He opened the door then the other three greeted him. "Good morning." He said in a more neutral voice. "What's going on? You two seemed a little freaked out before I came out." He moved and stood beside Ophelia.

Morthos awoke and noticed Jax was gone, he could hear some soft voices outside the door so he figured she must be talking with Ophelia and working out what happened yesterday. He got up and cleaned himself off before heading to the door to see how the others were doing. Right before he opened the door he heard Jax say something about a pregnancy test, that certainly was something. He wouldn't ask though, that wasn't any of his business. He opened the door and was informed that they had made up, "hey, that's great," Morthos said with a smile, he was glad the team could still work together.

Roxas joined them and Morthos gave him a small nod, "well, if we're all ready I'm sure breakfast is ready in the main hall. No doubt word has gotten out that I've returned, and if Aunty Em is still around she knows I enjoy my breakfast." Morthos gestured for the others to follow as he made his way back down the stairs and towards the dining hall.

In the daylight you could see the manor much better. The walls were an off-white colour with portraits everywhere. Lots of them were of tiefling ancestors from long ago, but there were a couple of relatives Morthos knew, and a few of him in ridiculous outfits. "Ugh, I forgot this one existed. Before you ask it's traditional clothing from ancient Bael Turath and is only used in ceremony. Remind me to see if I can have that one burned when this is all over."

They made it to the dining hall but before Morthos could open the doors someone from inside opened them and gave him a big hug, "Aunty Em, it's good to see you too, but I need to breath," Morthos' words were getting more strained as he spoke but the woman put him down and he took a big breath.

"Oh I know, I'm just so happy you're back. I mostly just oversee the kitchen now but when Fear told me you were back I knew I had to be the one who made the meals." Aunty Em was a large human woman with curly red hair, pale skin, and lots of freckles. "Oh and these must be your friends!" She proceeded to give everyone else a hug also, whether they wanted one or not, "you all just call me Aunty Em like Morthos does, now come, eat, the food is fresh and you're the first ones. Everyone else will be here soon."

She ushered everyone in, and the dining hall, like all the other rooms in the house, was huge. The ceiling was enchanted to look like it wasn't even there, right now it was showing clear blue skies. The perimeter of the room had tables with every breakfast food you could think of on it, and staff ready to grab whatever it was you wanted. The center of the room had a table set for quite a few people, Morthos took and seat and his friends did the same. The wait staff was a mix of humans and tieflings as everything tended to be in his town. "Well, dig in, we have to wait for everyone else to get here before we can discuss things anyways." Morthos flagged down a waiter and got some pancakes and bacon to start.

Ophelia's gaze shifted slightly behind Jax to see the door handle turn, and Morthos stepped out. Jax proclaimed that they had made up, and then Roxas joined them as well. Within a few moments, Morthos was bringing the four of them to the dining hall for breakfast. All of the different scents confused Ophelia, who was needing to feed. There were humans and tieflings and lots of food, which just made her head hurt. She sat down at a seat and simply stayed quiet for a while everyone ate. She wondered when she should tell the boys about the pregnancy thing, and began to weigh the pros and cons of telling them before the task at hand, or after once they all returned home. The thing with missions of any kind though, was that there was always a risk that some of them might not return home at all. She decided to tell them now before anyone else showed up.

Before she spoke, Ophelia wiped her clammy palms on her thighs and glanced at Jax. She knew that her sister would have her back no matter what. Despite it not being necessary, Ophelia took a deep breath and then cleared her throat. Her teammates had their mouths full, so she took the opportunity to speak without hesitation, or she might chicken out.

"I just wanted to say, while I had the chance, that I know missions like this are very dangerous. Sometimes they can even be fatal..." Her eyes shifted to Roxas for a moment before beginning to speak again. "I thought that I should bring this up now, just in case, God forbid, something bad were to happen." She breathed out again softly, then ran her fingers over her stomach slightly, though the motion would go unnoticed by the others since she was short, and the table hid most of her body.

"Since we are a team, I want you all to know that... I'm pretty sure I am pregnant... I can, and will still fight in this mission with you. It won't affect my ability to do that. I will get it confirmed as soon as possible, but I'm about 99 percent sure that it's the case. And I just... Wanted you all to know... Because you're all my best friends, and my team. And I care about you all."

At this moment, once she had finished speaking, she waited silently, with her shoulders relaxed but squared off, trying to feel confident. Hoping that no one would start to freak out.

Jax gave Morthos a reserved smile before she turned to Roxas with an even tenser smirk. She had to play it cool, keep Ophelia's secret and she had to pull her head out of her ass let Roxas off the hook so they could be at their best for the mission. She squeezed her sister's hand and then they all headed towards breakfast, Jax pulled Roxas back and spoke evenly, "I am still mad at you, and we are going to have a serious conversation in the future but for now let's just push that shit aside and deal with the problem at hand. We are going to have to work together to take down this demon and I don't want you to feel like there is bad blood. I just want you to fucking trust me that's all. Alright?"

She held up a vertical fist which she waited to be bumped. When it was bumped she let out a sigh and turned her head listening to Morthos point to a picture. She gawked, "HOLY SHIT! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, MORTHOS that's my new screen-saver! I am going to meme the shit out of that expression!"

Jax busted out her phone and took some shots of a few of the pictures before she pointed, "IT LOOKS LIKE A DRESS! OH DEAR GOD!!! HAHAHAHAHA YOU CAN'T BURN IT!"

Suddenly they reached the dining room and they got to meet Aunty Em. Jax accepted the warm hug happily, surprised at the strength of this lady and spoke evenly to this women who Morthos always seemed to talk about warmly, "It's a pleasure to meet you Aunty Em! Haha..This is my sister Ophelia Kariana and my name is Jax. It's nice to finally meet the woman Morthos is always talking about. He says you make the best elderberry tarts in the world and let me tell you...I have been thinking about them for months now. Before I leave this damn country I have to try one. This region is supposed to have the best berries so I know it has to be good."

She shot Morthos a warm smile before she chatted with Aunty Em for a few minutes, both of them laughing and talking about Morthos before Jax was left in a chair to the left of Morthos. She looked around at the ginormous room, still mesmerized by the size, "Jesus this place is huge. Did you eat here when you..."

Suddenly the sight of pancakes, bacon, and all the breakfast fixings entered her sights. Her eyes widened, her mouth slowly opening,"Oh my god...I will have you and you and you..."

By the time she was done her plate was covered with food and she was eating it with gusto, barely leaving room to breath or think when Ophelia dropped the bomb. Her mouth was filled with pancake and maple syrup when she gulped, remaining quiet as she looked over at Roxas and Morthos then at Ophelia before her eyes returned to the plate, opening her mouth to say something before closing it in stunned silence.

Before walking away, Jax had come up to Roxas and talked to him. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before. I understand why you're mad but, I want you to think about it real quick. This woman scares me Jax. I'm scared. You know me by now when am I ever actually scared? This is coming from the man who shares a body with the king of hell. I really am sorry I didn't tell you Jax. You're my best friend and I do trust you. I'm just scared." He looked her dead in the eye and could tell he was giving off a hint of fear. Jax raised her fist and he bumped it back. "We'll talk more about it after the mission." She sighed then walked to Morthos. So much for keeping that secret.

Roxas listened to Morthos explain everything as they all walked down to the dinning hall. Ophelia was next to him and he held her hand gently. It was one of the only times he felt safe. Not that he couldn't take care of himself or anything like that, it just set his mind at ease. As they reached the dinning hall, Aunty Em, of that's what Morthos introduced her as, came in and talked to them. "Hello, I'm Roxas, Ophelia's partner. It's nice to meet you." Roxas shook the woman's hand then sat down next to Ophelia. He saw all the food that was around and his mouth started to water a bit. He thought he was a good cook but this was something else.

Once he had a plate full of just about everything, Roxas looked over at Ophelia. It then dawned on him that she hadn't fed yet and was probably getting hungry. He tilted his head then leaned in to her briefly. "You can feed of me after if you want." Gently smiling at her he squeezed her hand before starting to eat. About halfway through his plate, Ophelia started to talk. He listened to her as she was talking about missions being fatal and that she had something she wanted to tall them all. What came next wasn't was he was expecting and he almost choked on whatever he had in his mouth. Ophelia looked at him for a second before saying anything, then stated that she was 99 percent sure that she was pregnant. Roxas started to cough and choke a bit on his food. She continued to say that she was still going to help ad fight in the mission. This wasn't going to fly. First she says that she's pregnant with no warning at all. Then she says that she's still going to be able to fight?!

Roxas swallowed the food then drank the water next to his plate. "Why didn't you tell me you thought you were pregnant?" He was trying to stay calm. They literally just had a conversation about communication the night before. He didn't want to sound like an ass but, this was big news. Everything that was about this mission just got thrown on hold for him. No scratch that it was thrown out the window. Roxas slowly but surely started to freak out. Ophelia was pregnant and he was pretty sure there was going to be a huge fight at the end of this mission. If anything happened to her.. There was no telling what he would do. The room started to feel a little condensed and it was getting a little hard to breath. "I'm sorry I need some fresh air." Roxas got out of his seat then walked into the next room. He didn't want the eyes of the others on him at this time. He had to think.

Ophelia nearly killed Morthos with her news about being pregnant. He chocked slightly before coughing and hitting his chest to get the pancakes down his throat. Roxas clearly wasn't happy about this, and given Jax's lack of a reaction he would guess that she already knew. Roxas walked out, claiming he needed air. Morthos just took a drink and said hesitantly, "um, congratulations?" He wasn't exactly sure how to react, luckily he didn't have to, as Fear and one other person came in, and Morthos gave a silent thank you to whatever gods may have been listening.

"Ophelia could you go grab Roxas so we can go over battle plans? Also so I don't have to do introductions twice?" Morthos also noticed someone who should be there was missing so he asked Fear, "where's my uncle?"

Fear looked as annoyed as Morthos was, "he often shows up to breakfast late, if at all."

Morthos just rolled his eyes, "well whatever, not like he'd be coming with us anyways." Ophelia and Roxas were back so now Morthos could do proper introductions. "Okay, so you all Fear already, next to him is Yamraiha, head of magical studies, she taught me a lot of what I know about magic."

"Pleased to meet you all, just call me Yam," Yam was a human woman but with dyed blue hair as opposed to a normal colour. She also had very nice, er, posture, ya we'll go with that.

"Well now that we're all here, Fear, what can you tell us about this demon?" Morthos was eating once again, he wasn't one to lose his appetite for anything.

"Well, we don't have much to go on. The cave is in the mountain range to the north of here. All our teams have called for tactical retreat, citing the demon horde at the entrance as the issue."

"We also know there's powerful magic at work," Yam chimed in, having some food of her own. "My scrying spells don't work so we know the demon also has magic protecting it from being found."

Morthos didn't like the sound of this, "I hate be go in without a plan, but it sounds like we might just have to do that, anyone else have any input?"

Ophelia's gaze has rested on Morthos once Roxas excused himself, and since Jax already knew, he was the only one she was watching for a reaction. For some reason, Ophelia had pictured their responses to be different, and she listened as Morthos spoke after seeming to choke.

"Um, congratulations?" he started off by saying. Ophelia's eyebrows furrowed slightly, her face shifting from feeling disappointed, to angry at his next sentence. "Ophelia could you go grab Roxas so we can go over battle plans? Also so I don't have to do introductions twice?"

"Whatever you say, your majesty..." Ophelia muttered and stood up abruptly. The chair she sat in got thrown back slightly with her strength and she disappeared from the room in a blur of movement. The moment she was outside the door, she growled and searched around for Roxas. His reaction made her angry too, but it was more understandable. She found him easily simply by his scent. He was only in the next room, but either way. She sighed slightly and approached him, her movements slow.

Roxas made his way through the hall and found an open window. He knew it was rude to leave like that but, he really didn’t want the others eyes on him. It was a shock to him that this happened. Not that he had never thought of having a kid with Ophelia but, he never thought it would be this soon. Would he be a good enough father? Could he even be one? There was so much going through his head at the moment. Maybe the others had a better reaction then he did. Thinking about it he was starting to feel guilty for what he did. Right as he was about to walk back into the other room though, Ophelia was standing right next to him. Almost gave him a bit of scare. “Ophelia..” He paused. “I’m sorry.” Was all he was able to get out at the moment, his head hanging low.

Ophelia shifted slightly so there was a little bit of space between them. His scent was overwhelming and she wanted to speak to him quickly before they needed to go back. “Morthos asked me to come get you… to go over battle plans…” She said, fighting the urge to roll her eyes. Instead she bit the inside of her cheek.

“What are you sorry for?”

Roxas looked up at Ophelia. He could tell she was annoyed mostly by the way she said Morthos’ name. “I’m sorry how I reacted. Why didn’t you say anything before? Also what the hell did Morthos do now? You seem like you want to punch him.” He moved a little closer to her and the two of them sat on the windowsill. He looked now at ground again but linked his hand with Ophelia’s.

I just… Thought he would be more interested… or something. I don’t know. It’s not important, obviously. We can speak more in depth about this later if you like. I’m telling you right now though, that I’m keeping this baby… But that doesn’t mean you need to stay if you aren’t okay with my choice. And I’m sorry that this happened now… I know we are just starting to move up as a team.” She said, slouching.

Roxas listened to Ophelia and pulled her into a hug as she finished. “I’m not going anywhere.” He held her tightly. “We started this together and we will go all the way together. Besides, fuck whatever Morthos thinks or says, it’s important to me, you and obviously Jax.” He lifted her head up and kissed her gently. “You don’t have to be sorry about anything, but you better believe that I’ll be sticking close to you like glue.” He smiled down at her hoping to make her feel better.

“Before you try and stop me, I’m still fighting. None of you will convince me not to… Just so you know.” She said this with full confidence, looking him square in the eyes.

“Oh trust me I have no intention on stopping you. I have no wish to end up like when we first met.” This made him laugh a little thinking of that night. He definitely would have lost but, never would admit it. “I do want to talk about it more when we have the chance. I have a few concerns that are on my mind.”

“What kind of concerns?” she asked curiously.

“Everything wrong with me. I don’t know if it’ll affect the baby or you.” His voice lowers a bit trying not to think about it to much.

“Well. We will speak more about it later. Maybe I’ll go talk to the council and see what they have to say… or actually. I’ll call my mom when I get the chance. She’ll know more than I do. But we need to go back… Before someone throws a fit. And, I need to feed soon… My throat is killing me.” The entire time they had been travelling and been here, Ophelia’s eyes had been growing darker by the minute. Now they were almost pure black, with just the slightest little thin ring of blue left, almost not even visible. Her lips were parted a little to show her fangs out of instinct.

“C’mon.”

Roxas had been with Ophelia long enough to know when she really needed to feed. She really couldn’t wait any longer and this “Meeting” could take longer than anticipated. “The princess can wait you need to feed now.” He pulled her into his arms then yanked down his collar for her to get to his neck.

“I can wait Roxas…” Ophelia said, the volume of her voice rising to create an echo through the room. She was agitated already, and knew he was right, but she was being stubborn and trying to ensure she was showing she cared about what was going on with Morthos’ Mom. She reached up quickly and fixed his collar, then took his hand and lead him back to the banquet room. She sat back down in silence, deciding not to take part in the conversation and to simply listen.

“Fine but when this is done we’re going back to the room and you’re drinking as much as you need.” He said as they were walking back to the room. As they walked in, there were a few new people at the table. He shook their hands then sat down. “Sorry had a little life changing information come up and had to discuss it with my girlfriend here.” Roxas smiled apologetically at the others in the room and listened to what was being said. He did care about Morthos’ mom missing but, it was a little hard to concentrate on it when he was going to be a father. It was scary and exciting at the same time. While the others were talking, Roxas looked at Ophelia for a bit and took her hand in his under the table. He tried to hide a smile.

When Morthos asked his question, Roxas snapped back into reality. “Well since we really don’t have much to go on I think that we should try and make it to the cave in the mountain. I know you said that you’ve called for a retreat, but I might be able to get past the horde. It’ll cost me, but I think I can get past them.” He looked over at Jax for a second making eye contact with her wondering if she knew what he was talking about. Regardless he would explain it later when it was just the four of them. As much as he didn’t want to use Ifrits help that often, he might be able to use him slightly to get past the demons. It was a risk because if it didn’t work then he’d actually have to use his powers and he really didn’t want to do that. There was going to be a really long internal conversation later that night.

Jax watched Morthos respond then turned to Ophelia shaking her head as her face scrunched up and her fists hit the table. When her sister was gone she rounded on Morthos, ignoring the new people who came in, "MORTHOS! You know you can be such an ignoramus sometimes!!! Congratulations!?!?! Are you fucking kidding me..."

She shoved her hands over eyes shaking her head as Morthos started talking about his uncle. She threw up her hands before sinking back into her seat her mind racing. So let's do the count here, my sister may be pregnant, Roxas' evil as fuck undead ex-girlfriend may come to rip our heads off and Morthos' mom is probably in dire peril. Great. Great... we are totally going to die.

Her green eyes darted over to Morthos who looked like he was in deep thought before they moved to the door and after a few moments Ophelia and Roxas came back in slightly better spirits. She noticed the tension though. She reached over and touched her sister's hand as Morthos made introductions.

Jax pulled back before turning to the newcomers and putting on a smile, "Sorry..It is a pleasure to meet you both. My name is Jax Kariana and this is my sister Ophelia. Thank you so much for meeting with us. Morthos' didn't mention he had such a gorgeous teacher, your hair is stunning!"

She laughed with the teacher then sat back down and listened quietly to Fear. When he finished she turned to Roxas meeting his eye with a reluctant stare. She spoke up evenly, "I think Roxas makes a good point. He is one of our best fighters so I'm sure he can do quite some damage. I can even provide you with some backup demons if you need them. Hell I would join you myself but seeming as we are dealing with an archdemon your mother is definitely going to need my help. If I can get into that cave I can help us find the demon. He may have spells that are strong enough to protect his location but I know a few tricks to get past it. I don't want to be tooting my own horn here but hunting down demons is what I do."

She looked directly at Fear and then at Morthos, "Taking down a demon of this magnitude is hard work we have to break it down to an incredibly weak state before I can set up an entrapment curse, so we can send it back to hell...or," She paused looking guiltily at the table, "Capture it."

She looked up at her sister, "What? If I had him in my roundhouse it would be incredible for my stats...and yes I see how selfish that...is..okay...straight to hell, I guess."

She sunk back down, already committing to capturing the demon in her head. She turned to Fear, "May I ask what type of magic the queen uses. I want to know how best we can help her?"

Yam just gave a little hand wave at Jax's compliment as Fear answered her question. "Lady Rieta uses Charm magic to mentally manipulate foes and possibly drive them mad." Fear ran his hand through his hair, "she is very powerful, I would never say otherwise, but she's much better at supporting others, leading the foe in to an ambush, which is why it didn't make any sense that she would go off on her own."

Morthos bit his thumb, a nervous habit he had thought he'd kicked, I guess not. "We'll need to capture him so we know where my mom is, I doubt she'll just be out in the open," Morthos said to the others, "Jax if you can somehow recruit him to your roster then feel free." He looked at his friends around him, "I'll probably be counting on you guys a lot on this mission. My flames are strong but I'm not sure how much damage I'll be able to do to this guy. Get yourselves ready, we'll meet in the front hall, I'm going to go inform my uncle we're leaving." Before anyone could say anything else he got up and quickly made his way out of the dining hall.

Morthos took some secret passages around the manor and soon found himself at his uncles door, right across the hall from his mothers room. He knocked then opened the door, "hello uncle."

"That's Lord Damakos right now, boy," he sneered at Morthos.

"Count yourself lucky I'm calling you uncle and not something worse. We're leaving to take on the archdemon now, wouldn't care to join us would you? Demonologist like yourself, you'd probably be useful for once." This wasn't the way one should talk to family, but Morthos and his uncle had a very unique relationship.

"I'd love to, really," clearly he would not love to, but he continued, "but who will run the kingdom if I leave. I'm needed here."

Morthos clenched his fist tight, how he'd love to just punch his uncle, but he restrained himself. "We'll be back before you know it, with my mom, try not to ruin my kingdom while we're gone."

"Good luck with finding your mother," he had his back turned now, and he said it like he knew something Morthos didn't. Morthos left and closed the door, going to his mothers room before heading back down. There was something strange about the room other than the mood knowing that she was gone, but Morthos couldn't quite place it. He closed the door and headed down to join the others.

Ophelia listened as Morthos spoke about his mother and what he was wanting them to do. He needed them to help out a lot for this mission, and they needed to do their best since this was his mum they were talking about. She wasn't too sure how well she would be able to help in this situation. Jax was the one who knew everything about demons and what not. She felt less confident than she wished she did, which wouldn't help her much. Morthos suggested they meet in the front hall, so when he got up and disappeared quickly, Ophelia looked at Jax and Roxas and sighed a little.

"I guess we better head out... Is everyone ready?"

She waited for their responses, and then stood up from the table slowly. Her energy was extremely low. There was no way she'd be able to fight like this... She supposed she needed to take Roxas up on his offer. She sighed out again, not wanting to waste time. Once Jax was up ahead of them, she pulled Roxas aside and looked up at him. She waited for him to say it was alright, and then would catch up to Jax and Morthos in a couple of minutes.

Once the plan was sort of set, everyone got up to leave. Ophelia spoke up and Roxas nodded his head in response. Ophelia pulled him aside ready to feed more than likely. Roxas did say that she could feed from him after everything was finished. He quickly looked around to see if anyone was watching then looked back down at her. "Okay." He said softly as he tilted his neck. She didn't waist time at all. The moment his head was tilted she started to feed. Though at first it was painful, Roxas really had grown to not really feel it anymore. It was more like a gentle prick sometimes. After a little while of Ophelia feeding, she pulled away and whipped her face. "Feel better?" He asked, gently whipping the remaining blood from her lips. She nodded then the two walked to meet up with Jax and Morthos, hand in hand. Though the last day or so had been trying, they still loved each other.

It didn't take to long for the two of them to catch up. Morthos had come back from where ever he disappeared to and Jax was with him waiting in the room. "Okay so do we actually know how many demons are surrounding this cave or do we just have to guess and hope they don't overtake me. I can take on thousands of those things if I have to but, I'd rather not have to do that. That would force my hand to do something I really don't want to do." Of course Roxas was talking about going all out. The others had only seen a glimpse of it once back when they first met. Back when they all did the coliseum at SPA when he lost control and almost killed Neptune. Sense the he had learned to control it more thanks to Jax placing a stronger seal on him but, still not something he really wanted to do.

'What's wrong? Afraid you wont regain control again?' Ifrit seemed a little put out still from this morning, but Roxas didn't care. "Shut it." Roxas said under his breath, the only one close enough to hear was Ophelia. "Anyways we really need a plan. I feel we should do some recon first to see what we're up against. If it's not to overwhelming then I can distract the grunts while you guys sneak past to the cave. If you see me have a hard time, just keep going. If my memory serves me well then taking out the grunts should weaken the larger demon. That's what we did for this guy." He tapped at his head in reference to Ifrit. Ifrit just scoffed. "Jax you need to be the one to take on the main demon if it's there so you can recruit him. Or however that works." After everything was said, Roxas realized that he was acting like the leader. "Sorry that's just what I think we should do. It's up to you ultimately Jax."

Jax listened quietly to Morthos and Fear discuss both Lady Reita's powers and the strange moves she took in response to this foe. Jax didn't respond because she didn't want to upset Morthos but something dark hovered around the whole thing. Anyone who studies demonology would know that Arch Demon's feed on weakness and madness. Everything about this felt sinister and she didn't like it. She was still thinking those thoughts while she waited in the hallway. Morthos was off informing his uncle of his departure and her sister and Roxas were engaged in feeding so she took the free moment to prepare herself for what was to come. She closed her eyes taking in a breath as she began to pray. Her Latin was soft and quiet, her pentagram hands glowing only slightly as she began to set up her curse. It wasn't long before the others returned. She stopped after one final prayer then looked over to Roxas, listening to him as he suggested a bit of a plan. She raised her hands, "No...your a hundred percent right. Recon is exactly what we need to do, and taking down his minions will definitely weaken him. I don't know if it's me or Morthos' mom taking down this prick but if it's coming down to me. I need major prep and we really need to make these fuckers bleed. The curse I am preparing takes time and I have to make sure my soul is ready for it."

Jax rubbed her head, "So Morthos...if you can lead us to a lookout we can decide on a game plan and figure out how each of us can use our skills. If anything you know the area better than anyone. Is there even a way to get into this cave another way. It would be useful to get ahead of these bastards by taking them from behind."

"We have watchtowers at all four cardinal directions," Morthos said to Jax, "Fear, you said the cave was to the east, right?" He nodded to confirm this. "Well okay then, to the east watchtower we go," Morthos left the manor and started leading the way to the eastern side of the kingdom, well, kingdom was a bit generous but he liked to think of it that way.

Shortly after they were on their way though someone called out, "Lord Morthos?" Morthos turned, it wasn't someone he recognized, but clearly she knew him. Looking around a few others were looking his way, almost hopeful. He sighed and turned to the rest of the group, "you guys go on, Fear will make sure you get there. Jax, maybe you and Yam working together can get a better idea of what's going on in that cave."

Before they could object he moved closer and said quietly, "look at them. They're scared, and now they see their young lord has returned. Just give me a few minutes, I'll catch up." He turned back and said to the gathering crowd, "yes, it is I, young lord of House Xerxes." The crowd started, well, crowding him, and he said what he could to help alleviate their worries about his mother. Morthos just hoped his friends could figure out a strategy, and fast, he didn't want to wait any longer than he had to.

Jax was silent for most of the way to the eastern watchtower, black ruins were just lightly forming underneath her eyes, the lines growing darker with her incantations. When Morthos told them to go ahead she frowned, not liking the idea of having him near the group, but once he explained she remained quiet. As the group kept going she turned back to watch Morthos with his people. He really loved them, and one day he would have to come back here and lead them...possibly with 'Mel.' Suddenly her eyes flared an even darker green, and she turned around catching up to the group, pulling out her scythe and resting it on her shoulders. It took them about an hour to reach the watchtower and when they headed up to the top they overlooked a large patch of rugged black forest. The fog luckily thinned at this altitude but what could be seen wasn't pretty, the trees and ground were a dark charcoal and black. Leaves were barely clinging to trees and if they were they were a sickly brown and yellow. The carcasses of freshly killed animals and probably locals carried a scent through the air, but none of this compared to the large hulking black cave that stood a few miles to the east of the watchtower.

Fear spoke out slowly, "That cave is the entrance. We sent out soldiers to take them on but no one has gotten pass them. As you can see, their presence is destroying our home."

Jax shuddered slightly as she looked at the horde of demons that were lingering outside. Ranging from red bulbous shaped ogres to thin green mosquito type demons with razor-sharp poisonous fangs, this small horde looked deadly. She eyed Fear and Yam, before turning to look at Roxas, "Well that was more then I was hoping for. If he's strong enough to command something like that...then I have to conserve my magic to...'trap' him. I've only done this once before and as said it wiped me."

She turned to Ophelia, "I really don't want to have you fight but maybe if you and Roxas work together you can take most of them down?"

She turned back to the cave, her hands resting on the bars, clenching her rosary as her voice turned dark and pointed as she shifted to a language that she was sure 'he' would hear,"Pregătiți-vă demonul, pentru că nu știți sufletul pe care l-ați provocat."

A deep roar erupted from the cave as the horde began to frenzy reaching for their weapons. Jax spoke evenly, a smile rising on her features, "Any idea's for what we do when we get in there?"
