Greetings all, I'm wondering if there are any interests for Overlord-inspired RP. I'll save any explanations regarding Overlord itself and assume that everyone has read the light novel / manga or watched the anime. If you are interested but have NOT watched or read, I would highly recommend watching just the 1st season of the anime.
Let's not waste any time and get straight to the heart of what we are doing~
- 1. We'll each create 1 Supreme Being (Player) from Yggdrasil. We will all be in the same Guild, be friends with each other, etc etc.
2. We'll spend some time as our Player-characters, designing and building our Guild as it looks on the last service day of Yggdrasil. This will include designing custom NPCs, building the Guild-House itself, designing it, etc.
3. We'll vote (or random pick) on ONE Supreme Being who decides to stay until the end of the last service day of Yggdrasil.
4. Our Guild will be transported to the Isekai (other world) along with the ONE voted or chosen player.
5. Start the RP! We'll be playing as all the NPCs that our player-character has designed when making the Guild. The person who owns the one player character who has been transported will be playing them plus any NPCs they have designed.
Steps 1-4 will be done over Discord over the course of a few days (likely weeks), I'll set up an actual RP thread when the time comes, where we can post all our stuff that we've done.
I realize it'd be unreasonable to assume that everyone would know all the background details and lore regarding Overlord, especially Yggdrasil. Even for those of us who have kept up with the light novel, the entire system of Yggdrasil remains hidden, meaning... we'll have to "invent" and "assume" when building the Guild and designing elements. To remedy this problem I am bringing in a Fantasy RP system I already have set up in a separate RP. Of course, we can add or change elements of it as we see fit but it'll give us a framework to start with.
One few more things... this will be a high-casual RP, meaning quality will be appreciated and expected. I'll post guideline and rules once we get going. Additionally, I'm sure everyone who's been around the block a few times know already but going afk from the RP is a very good way to kill it. Unlike some other RPs, this RP will not have an easy character-kill switch built into it, meaning as soon as a person disappears, it leaves a huge hole that is very difficult to fill. I give you my word I will do my utmost best in order to keep this RP moving forward and be appealing to everyone, so I would greatly appreciate it if you could show dedication.
