Hello there!
I usually go by Cipher for short, since Five is actually the name of one of my characters. I think I was here about a year ago, and a lot of the formatting has changed since then. I'm here to sort of rediscover the depths of my creativity and how to express it through rp - if that makes any sense.
Roleplaying Career:
I started about ten years ago now, I think my first actual roleplay platform was IMVU, and then all of the roleplayers got kind of flushed out as the years went by. A friend referred me to G+, and as I roleplayed there, I could see my writing abilities diminishing to cater to a..."less refined", populace. I'm kind of embarrassed because I make punctuation errors and typos now that I wouldn't have made a couple of years ago, and I struggle to illustrate idea's that once came to me with pristine clarity.
I'm hoping that by sort of shying away from the confines of overbearing systems I can regain that which I had lost.
Roleplay Preferences:
I'd like to think of myself as a jack of all trades, generally able to roleplay just about any genre i'm asked to within reason. The only kind I tend to stray from is the NSFW kind, but that's simply because it's not particularly interesting to me. I have a tendency to lean towards the sci-fi, fantasy,and supernatural genres because they often have a wider range of opportunity. I often enjoy making and receiving lengthy replies that offer insight into the minds of the characters involved, especially if they're about small details that wouldn't have been noticed originally.
Hobbies and Interests:
Roleplay has been my biggest hobby so far, with my second being art - I do a lot of digital art of my own characters and those of others. Usually taking commissions when asked I like to experiment with styles I've seen in anime or american cartoons and try to make my own characters using that sort of style. Sometimes it works out, and other times it doesn't. I also play a lot of video games, mostly third-person shooters and rpg's. And finally, i'm into Anime and Manga, although perhaps not as much as I used to be as few titles ever really get my attention these days. I just finished watching Mahoutsukai no Yome and i've fallen in love with it's OST.
TLDR; A really old school roleplayer that used to rp on notebook paper in summer school, has come here to rediscover creativity. Pls help.
