Werewolf Hunter

You are a human. I am a werewolf. You have been on my trail for a while. Ever since you heard that werewolves were dangerous. I was hunting one night by myself, and I heard a gunshot. Blood followed very soon after. You had injured me. I tried to get away, as you aimed the gun at me once more. You could have easily killed me. But you did not. Instead you felt sorry for me and took me home to heal me. Who are you? Why are you doing this?

Kiba sniffed the air as he walked through the forest. He was in his wolf form, and his white pelt seemed to gleam in the light of a almost full moon. Kiba knew that there was a risk that came with going out in his wolf form, but he thought that he would be able to take down any and everyone hunter who dared to take a attempt on his life.

Catching the scent of an injured female deer, Kiba slowed his trot to a slow walk and became light on his feet. He hadn't had much luck the last few nights, only catching a mouse or two, which was barely a snack for a hungry werewolf. However, his luck seemed to change for the better, as he knew that tonight would be the first night in several nights that he would have a decent meal.

Keirra followed the blood trail with steps lighter than the breeze washing over her face. She had injured a doe, shattering it's left front shoulder. Knowing it couldn't have gotten far she began her persuit. As she neared the animal, hearing it thrash in the under brush something of overwhelming dread caught in the huntress's stomach.

Taking shelter below a fallen treed that was leaning at a tight angle against another she sat with her sights ready with the Doe in sight. Through the green on the trees the stark white stood against the background as something foreign, unnatural. The beast moved slow and deliberate like the stock of a predator. What was it that would have that white of a coat this early in the year? Steadying her breath and staying down wind Keirra let her sights follow the unknown intruder of her forest until the divulged themselves.

Kiba's wolf form was much larger than that of a normal wolf, almost the size of a small horse. This was a typical size of werewolves when they were in their wolf form, so Kiba wasn't too small or too big in terms of werewolf size. But, to someone who never seen a werewolf before, it would almost be too fantasy-like and if they ever saw a werewolf for the first time.

Kiba didn't noticed that there was someone in the trees. He couldn't smell anything other than the deer and the natural forest scents, and it didn't occur to him to look in the trees either. He moved in a little closer and paused, making sure that the doe didn't noticed him before he went for the kill. His ears twitched as he listened for signs of another predator in the area. He knew that humans sometimes covered their scent somehow, but he also knew that if one were to listen close enough, they could hear a human no matter how silent the human intended to be.

Keirra was in awe as the great beast emerged from the trees into view. The wolf was massive, far surpassing any other she had ever encountered. A monster, it had to be a monster akin to the ones she had heard of in fairytales. Without another moment's hesitation she took perfect aim and let loose a shot. Waiting for the great beast to fall.

Kiba let out a yelp of surprise and pain and he felt the bullet hit where his hip connected to his spine. His front legs gave way, but his stubbornness prevented his back legs from doing the same. He looked to where he saw the deer, mentally cursing as he watched the doe exit his line of sight, scared off by the noise of the gun and Kiba's yelp.

Letting out a growl, Kiba tried to force himself to stand up, and give chase. But, a new scent hit his nose, and the large white wolf looked around, before realizing what the scent was and where it was coming from. He had been shot, and his wound was bleeding, staining his white pelt a scarlet color. But Kiba was determined not to fall, despite the fact that pain was making it hard to stay up.

"I have dealt with worse pain than this. But why can't I stand all that well?" Kiba wondered, before he finally lost the battle with his body to stay upright and fell to the ground, breathing heavily.

Keirra took another shot at the doe, grounding it before it left her line of sight. She then focused all of her attention on the wolf. It wasn't moving but it had only partially fallen. She could see that it was fighting with every ounce of its being to stand, adrenaline the only thing holding it together. She slowly began circling it, coming up behind it, staying silent and well out of sight.

Keirra watched with worry that it wasn't going to drop as it just stood there a few seconds more. The wolf's breathing looked labored and she knew it must be in intense pain. Her shot had missed, or hadn't been strong enough. Either way she was sure it was going to take another to put the beast down for good. Not having the stomach to let it suffer this pain any longer she leveled her sights at it one more time. Just as she prepared herself to fire again it fell to the ground in the tall grass and she lost her line of sight. She would have to get closer.

Slowly she began to inch up on the monstrosity barely keeping her own legs from shaking. She was afraid of this thing. No matter its size this thing was a predator and she wasn't experienced as she made herself out to be. 'What if it turns on me? What if it still has strength left? What if, what if, what if...' Her mind raced as she finally drew close enough to see the majority of the beast again, her weapon drawn, her face stern.
