This is a 1x1 Roleplay about a crime drama that takes place in Boston, Massachusetts. We have resurrected a two-block region of hte city south of Chinatown formerly known as "The Combat Zone". It was a haven for crime and immoral behavior. Corruption on the Boston Police Department allowed it to continue. The real combat zone was removed in the 1980s following the tragic death of Andrew P. Puopolo, a Harvard University student and football player as well as pressure from the citizens and rising property values.

The Combat Zone encompassed a portion of Washington St. just south of Chinatown, Boylston Street, Lagrange Street, Beach Street, Stuart Street, from Harrison Avenue to Tremont Street.

For our Roleplay the Combat Zone remains and is a den of crime including pornographic book stores, strip clubs, night clubs, theaters with risque` performers. It is a dangerous place. The Police turn a blind eye or take bribe to walk away. Prostitution is the biggest crime in The Combat Zone. You can also find any drug in the world that meets your desires. Beware, it is not the world of pleasure and comfort you seek.

We can use the OOC here to discuss what we are doing. I figure the crime has been committed. Our detectives stumble in on the mess and call it in. The CSIs and forensic people come in and start doing their work. Our dets try to figure out what happened and then get plainclothes to canvas the neighbors looking for witnesses. They have very little leads as out siblings go on a crime spree. Eventually, they catch up to them. Maybe out guys make a few other busts before they catch up to the Meaghan children?

Yes, I don't want to have them caught right away, but further down the line. Also, I'm having Jenna bring up the training now, although they'll get sidetracked due to this new case, but Jimmy can always get back to her later that day.

Also, Merry Christmas!

@Liv Merry CHristmas and Happy New Year!

I finally posted a response today. Gabe is a little annoyed with Allison and Jimmy has invited Jenna over this weekend to train.

I started a post this afternoon, but made a huge mistake. I was writing about an interaction between Jimmy Graham and his daughter, Adelaide. In the story, she was taking a karate class. Then I remembered, she was afflicted with CP and confined to a wheel chair. I had to delete it. Hopefully, I will have time to write something real. :(

Continuity errors sucks, been there done that. Maybe Jimmy had his niece or something in that class? You don't have to cut it out completely.

Hopefully, it won't take 20 days to write another post again. I do like this RP and want to continue. I started writing about two weeks ago and then added to it last week. I finally found time this morning to complete and revise it.

For Christmas this year, we got an Xbox 1X as well as an assortment of games. I have been getting into the latest Assassin's Creed version "Odyssey". Alexios is a Mercenary or "Mythios" living in 5th Century B.C. Greece during the First Peloponnesian War. He is hired by either the Athenians or the Spartans to carry out some deed or assassination. It is a lot of fun and I have become addicted because it is a quest-based level grind and I love level grinds. You can play the game as either Alexios or his sister, Kassandra. There are so many historical Easter eggs in this game. I am a student of history and love how the designers peppered this game with characters from antiquity.

I work as a Substitute teacher and signed on to cover a teacher who is out with an injury from 13 December to some time in February. What's nice about being a sub, is I can take a day off when I want. Covering this position for two months means I can't take days off like I did before. I tend to get some writing done during this time off. Between work, driving the kids to their activities and time spent playing Odyssey, I've slackened up on my writing. I will try to be more diligent.

No need to worry, it sounds like you had an amazing Christmas. I loved the AC series. Started with the second, then went to the third, and then the first. Haven't played much beyond that but I know what you mean about the game becoming addicting as I've spent many hours playing them. And with your background, there's no way you wouldn't enjoy the series.

Can't fault you for that. Pretty soon I hope to teach myself how to play the keyboard. I learned how to do so for a year in high school and didn't continue learning after graduating, which I regret now. Here's to an easy start!

@Liv I started working on a post. Jim is going over the basic four punch combinations with Jenna; focusing on technique and form. I will also include a bit on one form of handgun defense. Do you mind if I write things like, "Jenna put on her gloves" or "she punched the pad"? I'm not writing things like, "She took to it like a natural" or she couldn't throw six punches before running out of breath." It just makes it easier if I can state the simple things without being subjective.

@Gunther Oh by all means, use the characters as you wish. I'm not one to get the least bit worked up over it.

I left this post up to just Jenna and Jim. I skipped allison and Gabe this time. I don't know if you noticed, but we did a bit of a time skip here. We can talk about the murder investigation at the gym too, if you like.

I noticed as I was reading your second to last post that Jenna and Jim are ahead by a day. It's alright, just let me know whenever you want them in again.

Also, I have an idea as to the direction we could take. The detectives slowly start working their leads, eventually to the point where they can bring in the siblings for questioning down the line in the story (we'd have to work on the specifics for that). They get questioned and released as there's nothing solid against them. More time passes and enough evidence is gathered to issue a warrant and the detectives get into it with the siblings when they find them, and that's where we could have a big fight scene, which up until then Jenna would have been getting trained. The siblings get away for xyz reasons and at that point it's a cat and mouse chase. But in the end they do get caught and taken into custody.

Hard to believe, but I haven't looked at my computer in over two days. I'm just now catching up on Emails and RP posts. I do like your direction. I did mean to do a time skip with the characters. I felt the siblings were minor characters when we started even if their stories are more interesting. I intend a conversation with the detectives on any forensics that may have been gathered at the crime scene.

We could stage another crime scene post with the siblings too, if you like.

In the second video, I posted, the demonstrator uses a different type of clinch, which does work if you have experience with the technique. It is better to use the method I describe until you feel comfortable with it.

Well it's only a matter of practice, but yes, I would prefer your method from what you described.

Hopefully the post is okay, I finished it up yesterday after a night out. I do get self-conscious with my writing,
