Not too far away, Jacquelyn and the hellhound blast through the forest at a dead run, unnervingly quiet. It's barely evident what they're chasing, but a discerning eye or nose might be able to tell -- a witch hunter. To free her arms, the tiefling drops the bag of small game she was holding.

Persephone looked up honing her ears to the sounds. She heard the running, and the dropping of the bag. She moved right next to Shay almost barracating him between the mushroom and herself. "Yeah and the wiff im getting of it, im not so sure is a friendly one."

The tiefling nods to her dog, getting desperate. Her foot tears through a rotting log, and it collapses without much resistance.
Fuck. He's getting too close to the town. I need to cut him off
At her signal, the dog morphs into its hellhound form, increasing speed. Jacquelyn gives her all to run faster, farther. If this hunter reports the supernatural creatures to his guild, there's no telling who'll come back to kill them.

Persephone sensed something, but instead of running towards them, it was running away from them. Her curiosity got the better of her and she decided that she needed to figure out what was going on, the forest after all had been her home for a very long time. "I am going to see what the threat is, are you coming Shay?" She asked her friend before taking off.

Eclipse peeks out of the knothole he crawled into, and, looking around, sees a demon spawn sprinting though the forest. Who's that? He hides his gem, and flies out of the hole, flapping his tiny wings.

Persephone started running through the forest, careful not to run too fast where Shay couldn't keep up. On her way to the threat She saw a small baby dragon going the same way. Looks like they all were going to go defend the forest.

A burst of speed, and she's able to pierce his arm with her sword, tearing through the soft cloth armor he wears. He yells out, but continues running. Her hellhound lunges at him and bowls him over. In tandem, the tiefling cracks the side her sword over his temple, knocking the witch hunter out.
Hearing a following, she pulls her dog off of the man and has it revert into its staffordshire-terrier form. She pulls her cloak over her face, horns slipping neatly through the sewn holes in the hood.
"Who's there?"
