Is there such a thing as hobgoblins and if there is, is it a separate species of goblin or a title a goblin can earn? Possibly a subspecies?

Hobgoblins are another species, much larger than goblins (about human-sized) and more advanced than goblins. They're different enough that they'd practically need their own RP just for them.

This is really cool 😎 —-> The slayers guide to hobgoblins [/url] by mongoose publishing. There is a goblin one too but I can’t find a link or file.

Good read. Angry hateful creatures. My brain is stirring with ideas for a goblinoid warband game where players take control of little ‘factions’ or ‘families’ within the tribe and try to grow to dominance by slavery, recruitment, breeding, general survival all whilst trying to earn favour of the chieftain and gods. There will be losses as your numbers rise and fall.

🤔 gotta start working on a system.

Looking forward to it! I don't have any particular questions at the moment, but I imagine I'm correct in assuming it would generally be a dumb idea for the Shaman to leave the village (meaning, no wandering into the forest just to talk to people)?

Not at all, if she knows what she is doing. The shaman often leaves the village to gather herbs for medicine and commune with nature. That sort of thing. Oh, and before I forget, the sacred fire is somewhat magical and does not burn out easily.

Ahh, good to know! And yes, iirc it's sustained by a spell so it only needs wood once a week.
