Khalida lista her head to the side with a mischievous grin. “Like what?”

Sorcha raises her eyebrows at Asa’s tolerance and reaction, then looks at Shay warily. “Are you feeling alright?”

Asa continues laughing, then sits up. “Aw is it over?”

Layla smiles giddily. ‘I’ve always wanted to do this! Thank you!’ She hugs him quickly, then promptly sits down, pulls a few wires out of a cavity in her left arm and gets to work.

Khalida brings her arms up between them and steps back, a slight shift in her face. “Then who do you want to do them with?” Her playful grin remains, but something flares in her eyes.

Asa sits up, ignoring the marks from the intense shocking.

Sorcha frowns in thought. “I suppose that has something to do with his powers.” She shrugs and shakes her head at Asa.

Layla vivaciously fuses wires together and builds a mainframe.

Khalida rolls her eyes. “I wasn’t talking about that you pig. And I don’t know if I have a sister. I don’t even know who my father is, you dick-headed asshole. If you’d get your head out of your ass, you might care to remember.” She knees him between his legs and gets back to her work, muttering Chinese profanity.

Asa frowns at Amber’s extended hand and gives her a high five.

Sorcha sighs. “I’m not even sure what to do at this point. I don’t like this feeling.”

Layla smiles at Ben. ‘It’s okay, I’ve got it. I’ll need you to tell me how to program it though. Why don’t you take a break?’

Khalida grits her teeth when she passes him on her way downstairs. “You bastard, does a promise mean nothing to you?” She looks at him, her tearful eyes flaring with anger.

Sorcha frowns and looks at her hands. “Feeling useless. Helpless.”

Asa lifts her head, and sniffs the air. “I smell.. salt water.”

Sorcha frowns. “But that’s impossible. We’re away from the sea. Unless.. someone’s crying.”

Layla nods. ‘Ok that might take a bit. What kind of sign language?’

Khalida grits her teeth. “What the hell do you-?!” She’s cut off when Shay kicks down the door. She gasps softly. “Uhh.. you don’t think that’s a little extreme?”

Sorcha frowns towards where she hears a loud crash. “They’re fine right. Yeah they should be fine I’m sure it’s some kind of accident. I mean we don’t know what Shay and Khalida can do yet but surely they’re a force to be reckoned with if the gods sent them to be a part of this team.”

Asa perks up when she hears a door kicked open. “Bang!”

Layla nods with a smile.
