Khalida nods. “Thank you.” She sits down and continues to look around. “This is a lovely restaurant.” She frowns and sighs, biting her tongue.

Layla had started to lead him to the park when she feels his hand in her back pocket but she doesn’t say anything.

Danarae nods, then she smiles. ‘Perhaps I will see you around. It was very nice to meet you.’

Khalida smiles. “I know it was your mortal mom, and I don’t know if it’s just with my mom but married couples usually take their counterparts to the best place around.” She pointedly looks around, attempting to hide the color climbing her neck.

Layla frowns and taps her chin. “We can take one of the bikes and go back to the house,” she offers. “But.. you’ll have to drive. I’m no good on a bike.”

Danarae waves bye with a smile.

Khalida resorts to closing her eyes and pointing to a random entree.

Layla frowns faintly in confusion. “I just don’t understand...” she shakes her head. “Never mind, it doesn’t matter.” When they get to the park, she asks to borrow a bike and she turns it on. “Your turn. That’s all I know to do.”

“I’m bored now,” Asa declares, then walks away. She smiles when she sees Vic, then she tilts her head when she looks at Ben. She turns to Vic. “Can you communicate with Ben?”
