At first I was going to put in some skills but, eh that will be done IC anyway. Most important things are the age, name, and what the character looks like. Might put in some more detail later.

I guess the one other thing we should probably do is figure out acquainted our two characters are at the start. Friends? Mere acquaintances? Yulen has lived there for most of his life so would depend a bit on how long Quinn has lived there too.

I think Quinn would've been at least acquainted with Yulen, she probably moved there somewhat recently but had to get used to being there before she was comfortable enough to speak to anyone O:

So acquaintances. Not strangers, but not even really friends yet.

I figure the first bit is just to show off some of their daily lives, how they're managing in the village, to establish the characters a bit. Maybe meet up somehow in a bit and in the meantime there will be some rumors going around about Death Mountain, increased danger, strange happenings, etc.

That is a rather impressive skill to fall asleep while writing!

Well at the moment it makes sense to have shorter replies until we have something else to write about. While I think of a good excuse to get our characters to climb Death Mountain Trail, our characters should probably have some more interaction in the village as well as establish their characters a bit more. Maybe explore their families and situations a bit.

I pretty much know what to do with my character but seems like we might need to work a bit more on yours. So does Quinn have any family in the village? Is her job just to look after the birds right now? Does she have some sort of ambition she wants to strive for? Oh, and I was planning to have your character be the one to actually wield the Master Sword because of Yulan's lineage and skills.

Quinn is on her own technically in the village, she has her mentor who also works with the farm hands, but she mostly does things on her own as a way to test her independence. Her mentor likes to make sure she's okay though, so she's not entirely absent. Quinn takes care of the cuccos as her main job, mostly because she has the energy to run after and catch them if they escape. And I think for her ambition, Quinn wants to become someone famous and help people. She also wants to break "gender norms" and show that girls could also do stuff that guys can do, though that's just a thing that's not really that important to her. She just wants to wear pants and shorts sometimes.

Also cool! I like that idea! :D
