CHANDRILA
There was some part within Kaijosh that missed fighting on the battlefield. Yet, he knew that being a senator was as important as being a soldier for the New Republic. Even if the last few weeks have proven to be a waste. His political group, which took months of planning and organizing, had won a battle with the approval to strike Utrost; however, it wasn't Coruscant. That would depend on how successful Vice-Admiral was against the Imperial forces. For now, the senators continued debating about ending the war.

Kaijosh called a meeting with several senators to plan after the assault on Utrost. He was standing beside a briefing hologram of the planet. Once everyone was in the room, the senator began talking. "I know that it's too early to discuss Utrost, but we should talk about the chance that we don't take the planet."

"You really think the Grand Imperium will be able to defend it?"

"Of course, I do. It's the only clear way to their capital, opening it up for a costly blockade. We need to prepare with significant places to the Imperium. I have made a list of several key planets and facilities that would cripple our enemy." Kaijosh sent the list to the senators while the hologram showcased one of them: Jakku. There were rumors that the Imperium was using the planet to rebuild and prepare to strike nearby New Republic systems.

"Does the Chancellor know about it?" asked Sody Raffar, the senator from Chandrila.

"...I will tell her when the time's right, Senator Raffar." Kaijosh tried to calm the senator's fears of retaliation but he knew that it didn't work. "Jakku is our way of making sure that Mon Mothma doesn't end the war prematurely. So, I am trusting you guys to safeguard this secret until we know about Utrost. Now, any concerns?"

"How do you know that the Imperium is ever on the planet?"

"I have contacts keeping a close eye on it and reporting any Imperial activities directly to me." Kaijosh clapped his together and smiled. "Now, I am totally positive that we will win. There are just a few obstacles in our way."

RELENTLESS ENDEAVOUR
General Razref Treselang still had no idea why he was here, waiting to board the Relentless Endeavour. The only clue that he had was urgent orders for transfer from command. There was barely enough time to scramble the 51st Assault Division into proper transports (and borrowing some starfighters for protection). Fortunately, it seemed that his second-in-command, Idiv Meffaa, had the missing piece. And it didn't look ensuring.

"It seems like we've been assigned to assist with the assault on Utrost." Meffaa said and then handed Treselang the datapad containing the orders. The general was frustrated at command for not telling him sooner about the sudden decision. He wanted answers.

"And why wasn't I informed of this until now?"

Meffaa rubbed the back of his neck and explained, "Well, there was unscheduled maintenance on the communications at headquarters."

Treselang shook his head at the news and realized that it probably meant everyone else on board the vessel didn't know of his arrival. Hopefully, he was wrong. "Please tell me that I am the only one in the dark."

There was silence followed by Meffaa's attempt at answering the question without upsetting the general. Then, knowing that command didn't bother to inform anyone else, Treselang loudly groaned and dropped the datapad to the ground. "Remind me to speak with command after this."

After a minute of processing everything, the shuttle had landed on the hanger as soldiers were sent to investigate it. General Treselang managed to calm down and greeted them with his rank and orders from command. One of the soldiers double-checked the cracked datapad to sure it was genuine. Then, he handed the datapad back and sighed. "The Vice-Admiral is in the comm room discussing the plan of attack. And a word of caution, he will not be happy about this."

Treselang nodded his head and began heading for the comm room while Meffaa was explaining who the Vice-Admiral was. Based on Trask's service history, the general was at least grateful that he wasn't inexperienced at waging battle. Once he arrived at the door to the room, the general quickly got ready for the shitstorm that was about to hit him and entered. Trask was still talking about the battleplan before everyone turned their attention towards Treselang.

"Vice-Admiral Trask?" Treselang asked before explaining himself.

LINCOLN TUNNEL // HUDSON YARDS
Bates paused for a moment to reflect what Badger said and sighed. There was a point to be made given the current situation. With everything that happened only a few minutes ago, he had nearly forgotten about the post office. But, the sight of police officers gunning down citizens was wrong, and he had to do something. He turned towards his partner and whispered back, "I know what has to be done. I... wasn't exactly expecting rogue police officers right away."

"Whatever. Shit happens. Let's just keep our eyes on the job from now on." and - as far as Agent Hayes was concerned - that was that.

Both of them made their way farther away from the scene, hoping that nobody spotted them fleeing. The trash and waste helped somewhat disguised their presence. And once they were in the clear, Bates pulled out the map to see their current location. The attack on 40th Street brought a lot of attention, meaning they had to find another way to the post office. After a minute of figuring out a way, Bates had a plan to avoid getting noticed. "Okay, we are going to keep taking the alleyways until 38th Street. That's when we follow it until we get near the luxury apartments and then taking every possible shortcut. And once we get to 34th, we should be in the clear to the objective. Understand?"

"Right." Badger replied once Bates announced his plan, again flicking the select-fire of his rifle. "I'd just be on the lookout for more little friends along the way. I doubt those boys in blue were the only local outfits looking for trouble; got to be ready to change course right away."

"Sounds good." Firefly nodded. Then, both agents began moving to the objective location, hoping for no more trouble.

For now.

โ€œStat rosa pristina nomine, nomina nuda tenemos.โ€ โ€” Umberto Eco, The Name of the Rose.

PENNSYLVANIA PLAZA // JAMES FARLEY POST OFFICE
Ever since leaving the tunnel, Bates was immediately uneased with the quiet streets and empty sidewalks. New York City was supposed to be the city that never sleeps, but it seemed that it finally took an eternal slumber. Yet, there were hints of life struggling to survive. A young couple was playing some cards on the balcony of the luxury apartments. One of them watched Bates and his partner passing below before telling the other to rush inside. It was brief, but the sight of citizens gave him hope for the first time in a while.

Of course, that moment was shortlived by sudden loud bursts of gunshots. Firefly got the rifle ready for a fight and started moving faster. Then, he heard police sirens and instantly hid behind a delivery truck. He questioned if it was the officers from earlier, hoping it wasn't them. Instead, he watched as three police cars and an armored vehicle drove past them, heading in the direction of the post office. It was when Firefly had an idea of what was happening. And it was terrible.

"We need to move now." Firefly turned his partner and started sprinting towards the objective. While making his way, he managed to patch into the local JTF radio channels. And when he was in view, he saw NYPD officers setting siege to the post office while its occupants fought back defensively. With the arrival of additional officers, the JTF soldiers were outnumbered and surrounded. Even with the odds against them, they kept on fighting for as long as possible.

"Additional officers have arrived along with... an ESU team!? Shit!"

"We have to retreat! Get any citizens to safety while we hold the ground inside. Hopefully, we can at least take a f-argh fuck!"

"Romero has been hit!"

"I-I am fine! Get inside and prepare to fight!" Nearly the entire JTF force retreated inside while a few stayed behind to stall the threat. Firefly, without hesitation, opened fire upon the officers and dropped a seeker mine. The mine detected a nearby squad of hostiles that spotted the agent and rolled towards them. When it was close enough, the mine detonated and released chaff into the air. Before the officers had time to respond, the chaffs caught on fire and began burning them alive.

Firefly rushed towards one of the police cars and used it as cover. He hoped that stunt provided relief to the JTF soldiers and attracted attention. But to make sure, he pressed his earpiece to get in contact with Badger. "We have to make sure that the officers don't have a chance of entering the post office. Do whatever to get their attention!"

Banished. That word was burned into the mind when it was first spoken by the commander who taught them from childhood. Everything changed when that word was said. His former comrades didn't bid farewell instead gave looks of disgust and anger. The wildlife of Sychan Desert watched with sadness as the ex-Warden was lead to the border of his homeland. And then, former Warden Gil Totoun was unleashed to the strange new world of Vasilium. Yet, there was one thing that they took and it was their identity. They will always be Khemrini-no matter how much the Wardens tried to bury it.

In 2183, evidence of Saren Arterius' contribution to the attack on the human colony of Eden Prime was brought forward by Commander Shepard to the Citadel Council. The councilors voted unanimously to revoke Arterius' Spectre status (along with its benefits) and issue an arrest warrant across Citadel Space. And when it became clear that he wasn't going to give himself up, the council made Shepard the first human Spectre in its history. Yet, it soon became apparent that Saren had been prepared.

After Shepard's visit to the colony world of Feros, the Network Division of C-Sec stumbled upon one of Saren's former contacts mentioning the planet and Shepard several times. Further digging revealed that insiders within the Council and C-Sec were giving them access to all of Shepard's reports. Additionally, there were two more former contacts still working for the rogue Spectre. The realization that there was a leak within both the law enforcement and governing body of the Citadel terrified the councilors, which made them desperate for a solution.

In a classified location, the councilors met up with Venari Pallin, executor of C-Sec, to initialize Operation Kingslayer. It became clear that Saren was using his resources within the Citadel and C-Sec to undermine them and Shepard. Kingslayer's purpose was to eradicate Saren's remaining influence for the space station by taking care of the two contacts. However, it needed a leader. That was when the Council suggested a former CIA agent, Elliot Emerson. Emerson agreed, but only if he personally handpicked the group for the operation. He understood that a group of questionable individuals capable of fighting tooth and nail to complete the objective was required to defeat a former Spectre.

With his supervisors' approval, Emerson sent out a cryptic message to four different specialists offering tons of credits for their aid and left for the Citadel.

Information
It has been a while since I was in a Mass Effect roleplay. And instead of waiting for one to show, I told myself to make one while I am stuck at home. So, Kingslayer was born. Influenced mainly by Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Narcos. I will admit that it has been forever since I played the Mass Effect trilogy, but I have the basics down. One of the things that bothered me was how the Council behaved in the games specifically the first one. They are supposed to wise and intelligent but instead, they sat on their hands and let Saren read all of Shepard's reports.

Kingslayer helps fix that by making small changes to the Council that make sense and act like the ultimate authority they are. And it allows the Council to get their hands dirty when no other options are available. Of course, he and his team have to be aware of where the firefights take place or else face the wrath of the Council themselves. They have to promote the image of peace aboard the station after all.

As for what I am looking for, as a GM, I want to keep things small. Only four/six characters will be accepted. The story will be rather short. And almost everything will take place in the Citadel. The reason why is because I tend to notice that roleplays die when there's too much everything. I know that Mass Effect is about the entire galaxy, but I don't want everyone (including me) to forget that I have a story to tell. So if you are looking for a sandbox Mass Effect RP, you should know that its gonna be stricter than usual.

Rules
I am making some species off-limits because I don't want to see a Hanar or Elcor soldier raining hell. Or a Geth turned good boy. Or a Collector.

No overpowered weapons, armor, abilities, etc.

Follow all of the Guildโ€™s rules and donโ€™t metagame or powergame. Be kind to others. You know, standard stuff that one should know by now.

PENNSYLVANIA PLAZA // JAMES FARLEY POST OFFICE
"Nice to meet you, Hayes." Romero looked at the agent a bit longer than expected before making her way to the soldier. Bates knew that she was planning something. "Gather a squad and advance towards the Garden. Wait until the agents arrive."

With the new orders, the young soldier dismissed herself, leaving the three of them alone. Even with the introductions, there was some tension left in the room. Bates understood that Romero was still suspicious of their presence. And she wanted to make sure that he and Hayes weren't liars. So, the agent turned towards the captain and tried to move the convention along.

"What's the Garden?"

Romero chuckled at the question. "You know, the massive arena next door. You most likely call it the Madison Square Garden. When the hospitals began filling up with infected, temporary hospitals were set up by the city to ease up pressure. The Garden was one of the largest in the city. That was until City Hall happened." Bates noticed that the captain said the last sentence with a hint of sadness in her voice. It was something worthwhile to note for later.

"We remained in operations since then. But that was until the power went out about a day or two ago. And with everything around me falling apart, I had no choice but to abandon the hospital." Romero was silent for a moment before looking at her wound. It wasn't getting any better. "That's why I need you two to collect any remaining fuel given it hasn't been taken already. We planned on gathering as much as possible, but then... well, you saw what happened."

Bates still wasn't unable to believe that the situation got worse than expected. It was clear that he had to help out. Even if the hospital's already picked clean. "Don't worry. We will come back with plenty of fuel."

"Thanks-" Suddenly, Romero cried out in pain and saw that her wound had reopened. The doctor from earlier busted in and attended to her patient. She seemed to whisper something, but the captain wasn't able to talk. Bates knew that it was time to depart for the Garden. Then, his smartwatch lit up as ISAC alerted him of an urgent call for headquarters. Overload asked if their objective was fruitful, expecting to be disappointed.

"We found JTF forces along with its leader, Romero. But I regret to report that several NYPD officers were setting siege to their base upon our arrival. We had to take them out. Earlier, we were also under attack by two police officers after they opened fire on unarmed civilians. Over." Romero answered. Overload was about to respond until someone interrupted him. He spoke with a hint of curiosity in his voice.

"Understood... You will have to explain it to the commander once she arrives. Over."

"Wait, what for?!" Romero tried to ask the reason for her presence, but Overload ended comms before he could've said a word. Did it have something to do with him killing the police? It wasn't like they were given any choice besides getting killed. Or maybe it was something else entirely unrelated? The thoughts were driving him paranoid. For now, though, he had to focus on retrieving the fuel from the arena. But he had to utter a curse word under his breath before heading outside.

Evans was trained for this classified expedition by the best explorers, surveyors, and archaeologists. But, she avoided their suggestions and advice, crafting her own path. That's what happened when you select a General's daughter to led.

Personality
Being in the military for so long has caused Evans to become ruthless and cold-spirited.

Appearance
Evans was still good looking for her age, standing at five foot and two inches with an athletic body. Her slightly long blonde hair was one of the few things that she didn't change. For her uniform, she stuck with traditional military apparel with a holster for her pistols. And she also worn her service cap whenever possible as a reminder of her struggles and its reward.

History
Being the only woman in a military family was tough. Having your father fought in the Great War as a general was tougher. Georgie was always treated like an angel, but she knees that he was disappointed with having a daughter instead of a son. So, she started proving herself. Following her family's tradition, she enlisted in the Royal Army and was flat-out rejected. Yet, Georgie decided to fight for the right to join and took it to court. It only took a year before the judges sided with her.

Her time at boot camp was a challenge as the other soldiers and commanders dismissed easily. That made Georgie more determined. And she found her gift: leadership. It took decades of fighting to prove herself before she finally was promoted to Commander. Georgie, for the first time in a long time, was content with her life. Until she was contacted with a once-in-a-lifetime offer.

And she gladly accepted it.

"Witty Quote"

C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T

Oliver Queen, the heir to Queen Industries, used to be a spoiled rich brat that lacked empathy towards others. His parent's death at the hands of poachers during a safari trip started his downfall. It didn't help that his uncle was a well-known socialite that dragged Oliver to his parties often. That was where he was introduced to alcohol during his junior year of high school. Everyone around knew that Oliver was going to end up like his uncle. Until he boarded a private jet, to celebrate his twenty-first birthday, and vanished over the ocean.

The jet lost power in its engine and crash-landed on the island, killing most of the passages upon impact. Oliver survived with a few cuts and bruises discovered that his bow (gifted by his father and often used as a party trick) remained intact. He was forced to use it on a wild boar, who was about to attack Sandra Hawke, his girlfriend at the time. Upon meeting with the remaining survivors, Oliver realized that they were stranded with no idea of when, and if, help was coming.

In his time stranded, Oliver developed his skills as a hunter to survive and gained mastery over his bow. It forced him to reflect on his privileged life, making him self-reliant and humble. And trying to keep the other survivors alive made him understand and value others besides himself. It took a year before rescue crews found and brought them back to Star City. Upon his return, Oliver wanted answers behind the jet's sudden malfunction and it lead to his uncle. He was motivated by greed and the desire for power to sabotage the jet, hoping it would kill his nephew. It was also discovered that Queen Industries began selling illegal weaponry under the table to other countries and companies.

When Oliver found out, he wanted to bring him and his friends to justice. However, he needed a disguise to protect his identity for his uncle. It was when he remembered his childhood hero, Robin Hood, and based his costume on him. Using all of the skills that he learned on the island, Oliver was able to fight and apprehend them before the police showed up. But instead of going trial, his uncle was found dead in his cell. The police report said that he hung himself, but Oliver didn't believe it. He understood that his uncle and SCPD were working together, but he needed to dig deeper.

SON OF ZOD

"When I was young, my parents told me to hide my 'gift from God.' If it's truly a gift, he has a sick sense of humor."
C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T

Hernan Guerra was different. His mother and father knew something that he didn't about him. So, one day he asked them about his childhood. At first, his parents tried their best to provide a satisfying answer. But it wasn't enough. Then, he went to his sister for answers, but she clearly lying to him (badly). Frustrated, Hernan confronted his parents again and demanded an explanation. His father tried to calm him and it made things worst instead. In a fit of rage, Hernan stomped hard enough to leave a crater beneath him. It was also when he noticed that he was floating above the ground. He was scared.

Until his parents managed to calm him down. That was the first time that Hernan demonstrated a super-powered ability and it wasn't the last. Knowing that the lying was going to only hurt now, his parents told him of everything (with his sister present). It was on the night of their journey to the United States for a better opportunity. They saw something blight from the sky and hid behind some rocks, assuming it was the Border Patrol. Instead, it was something that crashed in front of them. Both of them investigated and discovered it was a rocket, containing Hernan inside. Before they could react, the authorities were making their way towards the scene. They took him and escaped before they were caught.

After being told the truth, Hernan was relieved and disturbed at the same time. And all he could do was hug his adopted parents.

As Hernan developed more strange abilities, his parents pressured him to hide them. He argued with them for a while before going behind their backs. It started with blowing away the chemicals from the crop dusters. Then, it got bolder. Completing the harvest on his own in one night once in a while. Eventually, he was caught. It happened during lunch at his high school. One of the racists was bullying Hernan, trying to egg him on. Of course, he did his best to avoid it. Until his sister got targeted and shoved to the ground. In a matter of seconds, the bully was on the ground with a broken arm. He tried to help his sister up, but everyone saw what happened. And it was so much that he ran home and hid for several hours.

His mother found him and comforted him as the authorities arrived at their home. Both of his parents were taken away by ICE, leaving him and his sister alone. Hernan wanted to save them, but his sister begged him to stay afraid that something could happen to him. So he did and it broke him. He remained on the farm until the guilt was too much to bear. Hernan left to find purpose in his life without saying anything to his sister. And with two years passed by, he watched as the American Dream was falling apart happily. Then, he heard about the latest ICE raids in the area that resulted in dozens detained, awaiting deportation.

That was when Hernan knew what he had to do.

C H A R A C T E R M O T I V A T I O N S & G O A L S:

He's the backup character. On a serious note, I want to be able to vent in the midst of a global pandemic and a historical movement. I am in a household where it isn't the best so I can't talk to them about it. And besides writing in my journal, this is the best thing to do. In terms of Hernan, he doesn't know about his true family nor that his father was General Zod. And I don't have plans on clashing with Superman anytime soon (unless Wraith wants that to happen, idk). This season will deal with him, trying to become a hero (well, a hero that goes and happily stands against the American government).

C H A R A C T E R N O T E S:

He's a lone wolf. But I do have plans on him meeting with Virtue, Tremor, Anarky, and Bunker.

CATWOMAN

"Witty Quote"

C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T

Gotham City. Home to the most corrupt officers and officials in the country. But that corruption earned them a ton of wealth. And those bastards loved to flaunt their wealth around the broken, the beaten, and the damned. It's the perfect opportunity to steal back what was taken. Selina Kyle was one of the first to dare dive into the pile of dirty money. She was a Gothamite born into tragedy. When she was only a girl, her mother committed suicide as the last-ditch effect to escape her abusive husband. A few months later, her father drank himself to death. The state decided to send Selina to the Sprang Hall Juvenile Detention Center, a known abusive state home for orphaned or delinquent girls.

When she was old enough, Selina ran away for the statehouse and found herself on the outskirts of Gotham City. After walking for a bit, she stumbled upon a carnival and decided to have her luck at pickpocketing the crowd. Eventually, she tried too hard at the carnival owner and begged him to not call the police. He immediately noticed her potential and made her an offer: Join his carnival or get arrested. She accepted the offer. Admittedly, Selina did have a fun time at the carnival and learned so many useful tricks. Contortionism, gymnastics, trickery, and persuasion. Just to name a few.

More importantly, she mastered pickpocketing by practicing on unexpected crowds.

Sadly, the owner suffered a heart attack and died shortly after. Selina, with nowhere else to go, returned to Gotham City and moved into an apartment on East End. As money was running short, she found work at a strip club in the area to pay rent. That was when she met the owner of the club, Stan. It turned out that he was a known abusive pimp. He took a liking to her, but she wasn't interested whatsoever. So when his first attempt was rejected, he threatened her and punched her in the face. That made her go to the local boxing gym to learn some fighting moves.

A few weeks after the abuse, Stan sent a catsuit as an apology gift. Selina didn't forgive him but kept the suit. Then, she had an idea: wear the suit and steal from Stan. No doubt it was a risky move, but he was rich compared to her. It was where she discovered something truly sinister. Several GCPD officers were working with Stan, along with other pimps and even crime families, to run brothels and beauty parlors. Selina knew that she had to do something and rushed over to Stan's place for answers.

BATMAN
Archie Goodwin International Airport
0.00 // A Bitter Sweet Reunion

Six years ago, Bruce Wayne bid farewell to his friends and family before departing his hometown to see the world. To find himself away from the place that changed his life forever. In secret, he spent those years learning everything required to uphold his promise. Boxing with the world-famous Wildcat in Boston, acrobatics at a circus in Cologne, intimidation and interrogation from former Spetsnaz agents at Norilsk, and plenty of other useful skills learned across the world. It wasn't cheap nor painless, but he appreciated every single one of his teachers. There was more to learn, but the life-changing experience in the caves of New Mexico opened his eyes to something possible.

Upon setting foot on the epoxy flooring of the lavish airport, Wayne saw how much it had changed since he left it years ago. It got an expensive makeover along with a new terminal facility and runway thanks to donations from infamous Carmine Falcone. Almost everyone knew that he was Don of the Falcone Crime Family, but it was clear that the politicians and police were in his pocket. Wayne approached a massive fountain, inspired by the Fontana del Tritone in Rome, and read the plaque:

THE FOUNTAIN OF GOTHAM
Donated by the Falcone Family in honor of Gotham City's rich history.
Any coins generously thrown will go support Gotham General Hospital.

Wayne reached into his pocket, pulled out a quarter, and flicked it at the fountain. Then, he made his way outside and saw Gotham's skyline for the first time in years. There were several skyscrapers still unfinished in various stages of completion, just like it was years ago. Mayor Hill and the city council talked about having Gotham City's skyline rival Metropolis' or even New York City's. Of course, it was all nonsense because the project cost billions. But, it seemed that the same family is helping to make that dream a reality (along with a few other wealthy families and individuals). Even with the touch-up, it was meant to cover up the city's ugly truth.

And all someone had to do was drive beyond the tourist attractions.

"Did you say Park Row?" the taxi driver asked Wayne.

"Yeah... The Community Clinic." Wayne answered while watching the driver's reaction through the rearview mirror. It was clear that he was nervous and scared about traveling there. Nevertheless, the driver didn't say anything and kept on driving. There was reason to fear Park Row that Wayne couldn't even dismiss. It was filled with criminals and became a hotbed of crimes ranging from robbery to murder. The clinic was always filled with patients that sought aid and safety without judgment. It was one of the few remaining reminders of its past before... that night.

The taxi driver stopped in front of the clinic and unlocked only Wayne's door. He exited out of the cab and went to pay the driver. Wayne tried to thank the driver, but he already sped off. He didn't blame the driver for wanting to leave. After all, he was terrified of going to Park Row and being robbed at knifepoint. The truth was that nobody was going to bother robbing a tax driver, but the lie was still being spread by the police, politicians, and the media. Interested in seeing his surrogate family, Wayne made his way inside the clinic.

Once inside, Wayne noticed the people waiting for their names to be called. It wasn't crowded as usual on a weekday, which was either a good or bad sign. Immediately, a familiar voice called out his name. "Bruce?!"

It was Marva Cooper still working at the garage based on the grease stains on her overalls. She gave him a tight hug before asking, "What the hell are you doing back?!"

"Got tired of exploring the world." Wayne answered sarcastically and then noticed that she was at the clinic. "What are you doing here?"

"Just waiting for my dad to finish up with his appointment. Nothing serious, just a routine checkup ordered by Leslie herself." Cooper sat back down and waited for Wayne to sit next to her. She noticed that he had something on his mind and decided to say something. "Hey, are you alright?"

"I... Actually, I have a favor to ask you and your father."

"Yeah, what is-" Before she could finish, the door opened for Earl Cooper as he was walking out with Dr. Leslie Thompkins behind him. They were in the middle of talking when Thompkins noticed Wayne, sitting there. She didn't believe it at first. But, it was a huge relief to know that he was alive after not writing back for a few weeks. Bruce got up and hugged her before she could've started crying her eyes out. Earl, meanwhile, walked over to his daughter and placed his hand on her shoulder. Both of them watched Wayne and Thompkins having a touching reunion.

Of course, with Bruce Wayne finally home, there was reason for a reunion dinner. Thompkins insisted on it and invited the Coopers over despite Wayne's objections. But, there was no point in arguing with her. She

The Pantheon

"Once more, we return. But this time, death doesn't loom over us."
C H A R A C T E R C O N C E P T

Every ninety years, twelve gods incarnate as humans. They are loved. They are hated. In two years, they are dead. It happened. It will never happen again.

On a different Earth, a different universe, the twelve gods lived out their lives as musical geniuses of the 2010s. Each of them had millions of beloved fans. Each of them was loved and hated. And each of them only had two years until death. But something changed. There was a thirteenth god in their presence, which set off a chain of events that revealed a long-hidden secret.

"We are the forgotten."
The American Dream. The idea that anyone can achieve success through hard work and determination in the United States of America. No barriers. No restraints. However, somewhere along the way, it died and became a trap to lure the desperate. While they may still obtain their freedom, they are forever stuck in the bottom while those in the top remain untouched. In recent years, there had been movements and groups that tried to challenge the system and demand meaningful change. But like everything that tends to happen, they were either crushed or forgotten by the majority of the population.

That was until now.

Non-stop protests across racism, police brutality, and other problems plaguing America. While people are protesting for change, there are four individuals who know what's going to happen next. They decide to stand their ground and force change as the American Dream is slowly decaying. They have been affected by both the dream and the system. They have been forgotten by those in their ivory towers. They are Misfits.

Tremor: Being a second-generation Indian American, Roshanna Chatterji spent her life trying to achieve the dream. That was until a drunk driver forever changed her life. Her mother died on the scene while her father lost feeling on his legs. The driver turned out to be the offspring of a well-known businesswoman, who was able to sweep the incident under the table while the Chatterjis had to deal with the medical bills. Her father became addicted and overdosed on painkillers. Roshanna left shortly after the funeral.

Virtue: Holly Ann Fields witnessed her father getting beaten to death by police officers after being mistaken for a robbery suspect. The officers involved in the murder got away, but the police department was forced to pay the Ann-Fields in a settlement. That caused some in the department to start harassing them for years. Getting tired of it, Holly exposed them in a post that went viral and painted a huge target on her back. Being a small-town police department, they were able to send her a clear message. Fearing for her life, Holly fled to protect her family.

Anarky: A Gothamite that grew up on the East Side of Gotham City, Lonnie Machin lived in an abusive household where his parents treated him like garbage. They were struggling to pay rent so his father began working for the Beretti crime family. His mother started stealing for the people that she was cleaning for. Eventually, both of them were caught and sent to prison for the crime of surviving in a fucked up place like Gotham. Lonnie was put in a statehouse and faced more abuse until he was kicked when he became eighteen.

Bunker: Miguel Barragan was unaware of being an undocumented citizen until he tried to apply for a driver's license. He tried to remain under the radar for most of his senior year until he came home to an empty house one day. His parents and baby sister were picked up by immigration agents. Fortunately, he was able to stay in a friend's house while he earned his high school diploma. Yet, the constant fear that someone was going to take him away caused him to leave. He had been on the move for a year now.

C H A R A C T E R M O T I V A T I O N S & G O A L S

This is my backup, backup character. Anyway, like with Batman and Son of Zod, I still want to focus on and explore the real America. Not the one made up by propagandists and fantasized by older generations. And each of the four main characters has been affected by the flaws of the United States (Tremor: Healthcare and Big Pharma; Virtue: Police Brutality and Corruption; Anarky: Poverty and the System; and, Bunker: Undocumented and Immigration). If you're one of those people that hates politics in media (especially in video games and comics), you aren't going to enjoy this.

Yet, not every post is going to be political. I want to explain how these met up with each other and formed The Misfits. Explore how they go on with their lives in a post-Cold War/9-11 world. And I want to develop The Misfits into a respectable group that bow to neither the authorities nor the government. Hopefully, our characters are able to interact with each other and explore the fundamental differences between them.

And I should mention that this group is based on The Movement. I just changed the name (because it was too on the nose) and removed/added some characters. I hope that's fine.

๐— ๐—œ๐—ฆ๐—™๐—œ๐—ง๐—ฆ
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
1.00 // CORAL CITY: THE CITY WITH HEART

For the first time in months, Lonnie Machin was able to rest properly without something awakening him in the dead of night. And it was dawn, which gave him time to prepare for the sun. Something that he wasn't used to. Living in Gotham City made him appropriate for the cooler temperatures and the unnecessary amount of skyscrapers. But anywhere was better than Gotham. Hell, the Greyhound bus that Lonnie had been on for two days was the safest he had been in a long time. There were only a few other people on board, and the driver was paying attention to the freeway. Still, being a Gothamite made him rightfully paranoid of strangers.

Otherwise, he would have been gunned down in an alley.

By the time that the sun was up, the bus had reached its destination: Coral City, California. Lonnie had no clue where he was going when he bought that ticket. But again, anywhere was better than Gotham. When the bus stopped for the final time, he knew that it was time to depart. The passengers started doing the same thing, and several noticed his attire. He didn't have to turn around to feel some of them making faces at him. One of them was brave enough to comment on the ACAB patch stitched on the vest. "Disgusting."

Lonnie was unfazed by it, grabbed his duffle bag, and left the bus. Inside the bus station, he took a free map of Coral City and started searching for a motel. There was still enough money to stay at a decent motel for a week. It should be enough time to find work and start earning some cash. On his way out, Lonnie felt someone bumping into him and reaching into his back pocket. He immediately turned around and saw that no one was behind him, but he checked his pockets to be safe. That was when he found a small piece of paper and something messy written on it:

Rebuilding your life after the system threw it aside?
Go to Angel's Hand, if you want to take a stand.
You aren't forgotten. - M.

Lonnie was more curious than afraid. So, he got the map and searched for the name. He eventually found out it was a bar located near the coast. He wanted answers, and the only way to get them was head to the bar. And that's what he did, not knowing what the future was in store.

It was another busy day at the Coral Reef Boardwalk. Since the virus was contained, more people began going out since they were stuck in their homes due to the shelter-in-place order. They were enjoying life again. And that made Miguel Barragan jealous of them. It had been four months since he left his hometown and trying to survive on the road. His travels brought him all over the West Coast from Seattle to Los Angeles. Now, he stayed at Coral City since being let go after asking his boss (a farmer) for more pay. Afraid that he called border patrol, Miguel gathered his things and headed west on the same day.

Miguel, on his fourth day of job hunting, decided to take a break at a cafe. He didn't have enough money for a proper meal, so he settled with some fries and a cup of iced water. While eating, he was cautiously glancing around his surroundings and looking for ways to leave the area as quickly as possible if the authorities showed up. Unfortunately, he was still homeless due to the cost of living here. It was too expansive for an undocumented citizen like Miguel. For now, he had to deal with living in the alleyways.

Once done eating, Miguel threw the tray away and took the cup with him to finish drinking it. But on his way out of the boardwalk, someone rudely bumped into him hard enough to lose his balance. It was already too late to confront the stranger, but he did notice a piece of paper, with his name written on it, on the ground. It was odd, but Miguel picked it up to have a closer look, thinking it was harmless. That was until he flipped it over and read the note:

Hiding in fear of being taken from your birth country?
Go to Angel's Hand, if you want to take a stand.
You aren't forgotten. - M.

There was fear in his eyes as Miguel desperately looked around for anything unusual activity. Yet, there were only people enjoying living. He took a moment to calm down by breathing in and out for a minute. After that much-needed breather, it was clear that someone knew him and using his status to their advantage. What would happen if he didn't go to this Angel's Hand? Will ICE be called? No choice, but to meet them and demand an explanation. As for the place, he recognized the name for that bar down the way.

So, he started making his way to the location.

It took Roshanna Chatterji two weeks to settle in Coral City. She found an affordable place and work as a customer service representative from a clothing store chain. Of course, it wasn't much money as she had hoped. But, it was enough to pay her fair share of the monthly rent. She was still unfamiliar to her roommates because they were full-time students, making interacting with them more difficult. Roshanna was kind of grateful for it because it meant not explaining how she ended up here. It was still too painful to talk about it openly.

Her phone went off, telling her that work was over for the day. Roshanna went to look for the manager in order to receive her paycheck. After waiting a few minutes, she went in and told her boss to have a good evening before grabbing the paycheck. On her way out, though, she noticed a piece of paper with her name on it. Roshanna hoped that it wasn't a note for one of her male co-workers. She had noticed how they were looking at her during the day. So, she flipped it around and tried to read the messy writing:

Moving on with your life without getting true justice?
Go to Angel's Hand, if you want to take a stand.
You aren't forgotten. - M.

After reading it, she was confused and alarmed at the same time. There was no way that her co-workers could have written it. So, who did? Roshanna didn't have an answer, but she recognized the name. Angel's Hand. Recently, it was forced to shut down for good due to low profits caused by the pandemic. Even know some businesses were slowly recovering their losses, plenty were forced to close. Now that she knew the location, was it worth going there? Probably not.

However, it was her only lead. In order to protect herself from potential danger, Roshanna went to a nearby store and bought some pepper spray. Just to be safe. And then, she went on her way to the bar.

Running away from the pigs that haunt your life?
Go to Angel's Hand, if you want to take a stand.
You aren't forgotten. - M.

Holly Rae-Hunter looked at the strange note and then shoved it into her pocket. At first, she was terrified that her past was coming back to bite her. Who found her? How? She immediately contacted her mom, praying that nothing wrong happened to her. Thankfully, she was safe as were everyone else in the immediate family. It was relieving to hear their voices again. Holly learned that the authorities knew that she vanished, but seemed to have lost interest in targeting her family. That was the best news she had heard since coming to Coral City about a month ago.

Now, she was standing in front of the abandoned Angel's Hand. Holly made sure to look up the name and found out its location and rocky history. Its former owner died of a heart attack years ago, leaving his children to fight over it. While both of them were busy fighting, the quality of the food and drinks fell sharply. But what finally killed the family was the virus. Shortly after the stay-at-home order was imposed statewide, Angel's Hand was forced to close until the virus was contained. It remained closed for good.

But for some reason, the front door was unlocked.

Holly cautiously entered and found the place to be mostly empty with the expectation of anything drilled to the ground. She closed the door behind her and slowly made her way to the counter. It was just collecting dust, but there was something on it. A cell phone? It wasn't working when she tried to turn it on, but it wasn't left behind by the previous owners. Something was going on. Then suddenly, the front door started opening. In a panic, Holly hid behind the counter and hoped they were only sightseeing.

Yet, she heard the door closed, but the footsteps getting closer. Holly was ready to fight the stranger. But, she then heard a voice.

"Hello?"

PENNSYLVANIA PLAZA // JAMES FARLEY POST OFFICE
Bates agreed with Badger's plan and tried to walk towards the backside of the building. Until the soldier from earlier stopped them in their tracks. "Don't bother trying to look for another way in. We made sure to destroy access to the roof from outside. To prevent any intruders from breaking in. Follow me."

It was a smart plan, Bates noted to himself until the power went out. He kept on walking until he was at the entrance to the arena. There were three more soldiers, making sure that nobody entered and exited the building. Bates had wondered about the layout and asked the soldier about it.

"Just follow the signs, and go up the escalators. You should be able to enter the security room and then the field hospital itself."

"Alright." Bates nodded and thanked the soldier. "We will go in and gather whatever fuel remains."

Upon entering the square, he saw and heard nothing. It was dead quiet besides the sound of the wind. Bates looked around to make sure that nobody was waiting to abuse them or hiding for them. He then walked up the escalator, and nothing was suspicious. But then, he saw a bloody handprint on the door to the security room. It was still fresh. The agent turned to his partner and signaled him to get his weapon ready.

Bates raised his rifle and rushed in the room, seeing two dead police officers on the ground. One of them bled out while the other was shot in the head, killing him instantly. He noticed that the security cameras were still working despite the building having no power. That was when he saw a doctor on one of the feeds, talking to himself while writing notes. The audio wasn't working, so Bates wasn't able to listen in. That was when he realized that the doctor wasn't at the field hospital, but another room. Was Bates kept in the dark?

The agent looked at his partner once more and asked, "What the hell do you think is going on? Two dead officers and a doctor, but nobody else. Do you think we should investigate further?"
