We all know the heroic adventures of the Fairy Tail guild by heart. We know about the foughts they fought with Zeref, Acnologia, the Alvarez Empire and many more enemies. But what if that wasn't where the story ended? What if there is another story to be told?

In the year X791, another guild was created in Magnolia Town and that guild was named 'Golden Shark'. It was created by a couple of strong mages with illusion magic. Nobody knows how they look, what their exact names are or where they disappeared to after the guild had gained enough members to survive on their own. The mage Amelia Hamilton became the master and recruited even more members. Within two years after the guild was created, they became strong guild that could take Fairy Tail's place as the strongest guild in Fiore. Which guild will win?

~~~
In this Fairy Tail roleplay, you will go on missions with your fellow guild members and even get into discussions, friendships or fights with the actual Fairy Tail members from the series. We will start the roleplay in the year X793.
Your character sheet will contain the following items:
- full name
- gender
- birthday (day and month)
- age (between 18 years and 30 years)
- joined the guild since
- location and color of your guild mark
- rank of your mage
- type of magic
- a list of spells with an explanation for each spell (except for obvious ones like the roar for a dragon slayer)
- equipment (if applicable)
- personality
- history
@Zardoric Thank you for your interest!
That's no problem. These events take place after the last season of Fairy Tail, so we will create our own timeline :)
Gotcha.
I'm planning to build an A-rank Info mage then. Think that the primary spell form is that of a computer search engine. Would also have a "status screen" and a few other things from Lit Rpgs. Large number of detection and sensory magics as well, including stuff like ESP(tasting colors,feeling light ect), Clari-all, ect. Actual combat abilities revolve around deciphering the enemies spells and using specialized counter magic, and identifying weaknesses. Although he would be capable of using some of his opponents magic, only the weaker spells, and only at a minimal level as he wouldn't really have the practice in perfecting said magic. Weak on his own but a very good in a team.
Would also have some moderately powerful combat magic items so as to be not completely useless on his own.
Over the course of the RP would learn to use the magic he has deciphered to a much greater degree (perhaps even surpassing the original source depending on the type of magic), as well as a selection of ancient and advanced magics. This would be his S-rank breakthrough point, as it would allow him to increase his combat abilities by leaps and bounds.
Thoughts?
@Zardoric That sounds like a very interesting idea! I haven't seen someone use that magic yet, so I'm curious to see how it plays out.
I think it's a character with a lot of potential for growth. In the beginning you can focus on the deciphering part with which he can help his team members by giving them a strategy. He could be a very smart person and maybe one of the weakest in actual battles, but a very good leader as he can figure out strategies with his magic.
Over time he can learn to fight more himself.
That's what I think about it.
@Squirrel98 More or less what I was planning. I would like to adjust his rank based on what other players make. If we start as a team of lower ranked mages, then he might only have a handful of spells (or even just items with some low level combat magic) useful in a fight. While at higher ranks he would gain the counter/copy spell abilities, more powerful items, and unique spells.
And not one of the weakest in direct combat (at lower ranks at least). Probably the weakest, unless someone else wants the spot.
Hey hey hey, I'm interested as well!
I kind of want to play around the idea of buffing magic that revolves around chess pieces. Sort of like chess magic wherein when you are bestowed a piece, you gain buffs corresponding to that piece. So it's more a mainly support type of magic. And they can summon a board where they can track all the pieces and then build the environment of the entire board from there, as well as possible enemy spots.
As for their offensive magic, I was thinking along the lines of gravity magic and probably a war hammer of sorts.
I'm thinking they're around B or A rank, depending on which you would prefer to have. But I think they're gonna be an experienced mage.
It would definitely work well with my own character plan. Mark my character as the teams "King" (weakest combatant), and the most combat inclined as the "Queen", and we could use my character's ability to gather info to locate the enemy plus your abilities in order to manipulate the entire battlefield to our advantage.
Now we just need some meatheads powerful front-liners.
It is a good idea to combine it with gravity magic.
I agree that it would be best if they are an experienced mage.
Oohh yes, I was also planning for the King to gain buffs as long as he's alive on the field. So it definitely works out in the end.
But yes we need meatheads to cover for us.
I hope I do the idea justice. I'll settle for A rank then, because I doubt they can pass the S rank competitions mostly because they're reliant on others. For now.
@Polaris North I think A rank is indeed the highest possible rank for the character for now, because they aren't very useful without powerhouses fighting alongside them.
Justice for support characters!
But yeah I'm planning for em to train more on gravity magic in tandem with their weaponry so they can be useful both as support and as an attacker when needed.
