Sylvia was inclined to agree with Buddy when he suggested going to the park to read, but then the men started to tend to the lawn. She agreed with Buddy's next note while rubbing the back of her head, "Yeah, we probably shouldn't get in the way of their work. Plus, there's probably a lot we haven't seen of Gransys yet. Let's walk around!" She then looked up to see Syfr land on Buddy. She greeted Syfr with a nod and a quiet "Hey, Syfr,"

After saying that, she wandered around town with Buddy to just sightsee.

Buddy followed you quietly as the two of you walked through the castle district. Aside from workers decorating and maintaining the streets, you saw a lot of women chatting or going about their business, as well as a many people in scholarly robes walking to and fro discussing about magic or just their day. Things seemed rather peaceful. About thirty minutes through the walk you would hear something rumbling towards you.

"Move out of the way, move move move!"

Up ahead was a runaway wagon. It was loaded with bags and boxes and coming your way. Buddy looked to you for just a moment before moving out of the way: even he didn't seem too confident in being able to stop such a large vehicle with just his body. Still he was looking towards you for what you may do. Syfr simply flew into the air to try and avoid any harm.

Sylvia was enjoying her walk through Gransys, taking in the sights and sounds of the Castle District. It was familiar and yet so different. The peaceful moment was soon interrupted by the sound of rumbling. "Huh?" She couldn't help but ask as she turned to see a runaway wagon careening towards their way. She looked to Buddy for a moment as well before she moved out of the way as well.

After moving out of the way, she tried to look ahead and see if the runaway wagon is going to hit anything or anyone. If that is the case, she would try to see if there is anything nearby that she could use to stop the wagon. Maybe something to throw in front of the wheels of the wagon?

She didn't know and there isn't much time...

The cart goes careering past you and Buddy, hitting a stone fence and flipping over. All of its contents spilled out as the wagon crashed and onlookers were both shocked and curious about what had just transpired. Oddly enough, it looked like what was inside was sand and books. Reaching the two of you was a lanky girl with dark hair, wearing the robes of the scholars. She was out of breath by the time she had reached you and it was likely that she would’ve never been able to catch up yo the cart before it had crashed anyways. “Aaaaah! All my research!!!” She seems quite sadden at the incident as Buddy walked over to you to see if you were okay.

It all happened so fast. It was like watching a car crash. Sylvia couldn't really pick up on the details, let alone be able to do anything, until it was too late. The cart already crashed and flipped over, causing the books to spill out along with sand. Sylvia looked to the lanky girl as she approached. Her words caught her attention, and she asked the lanky girl, "'Your research'? What happened? Was anyone else on that cart?"

She recalled that she heard a voice call to her and Buddy as the cart was careening at them. There may have been a driver on that cart, and they could be hurt. She also noted that the girl seemed to be a scholar. She wasn't sure if the robes were the same as the ones she saw at the Maker's Temple the other day, but she wouldn't be surprised if this girl was a scholar at said temple.

She then looked to Buddy when he approached her. She nodded to Buddy and told him, "I'm okay, Bud. But we should check and make sure nobody's hurt,"

Buddy nods his head and walks towards the cart to see if anyone was wounded. Meanwhile the girl looks to you, still tired and sadden. "Ah... That cart, it came all the way from Greenford. That's almost a year worth of travel! Uuuugh! The chalks didn't hold and the thill snapped and..." The woman just screamed in frustration towards the sky. It was around that time Buddy slowly came back, writing down that no one was hurt. The He also wrote that the cart was broken and stuff fell out but nothing else seems broken. The woman sighs and looks to you two. "I'm so sorry to ask you this suddenly, but can you help me gather my research? I'll try and find a new cart to bring this back up the hill and... Of course you'll be compensated for your time."

Sylvia listened as the girl answered her question and let out her frustrations in a scream directed at the sky. She felt bad for the poor girl. It sounds like this was just an incident of just pure bad luck. She was relieved to read that nobody was hurt from Buddy's writing. The fact that the cart was broken and nothing else seemed to corroborate with the girl's story. She thanked Buddy for checking and letting her know what he found.

When the girl asked for their help, Sylvia nodded and answered, "Yeah, we'll help you out," She felt bad for the girl, and she suspected, judging from her question, that she was trying to transport her research alone. She then introduced herself, "Oh. I'm Sylvia, and this is Buddy,"

"Oh thank you! Let's get started. Oh, and my name is Seraph." Buddy was already back at the cart, pushing it away from the fence so he can pick up some of the books. Seraph was digging through the sand and took out small bits of pottery and other figurines. She seemed to have used the sand as a sort of cushioning for the more fragile items. This managed to mitigate some of the damage they suffered from the crash, though she was notably sadden as she gathered up shards of broken pottery that didn't survive the crash. It would over all take about twenty minutes to gather up everything that fell out as well as clean up the mess as Seraph turned towards you. "Do you mind waiting here for a little while longer? I need to return to the college to fetch a new wagon, and your pay of course."

Seraph...?

Sylvia couldn't help but think of Pylia's friend, and the grave they visited last night, after hearing that name. But this couldn't be the same Seraph...could she? Maybe, Seraph is just a very common name in Keratia, but anything is possible. After all, the group did find an item that was said to bring back the dead in the sewers...

Regardless of her thoughts, Sylvia proceeded to help Seraph gather her research. Sylvia would casually glance at the figurines and the research as she helped clean up. She was a little curious as to what she was researching.

Soon the twenty minutes are up and Seraph asked them to wait. She nodded and answered the girl, "We don't mind,"

The girl would leave to go fetch another wagon. As soon as she was out of sight Buddy turned to you with a note. "Sereph? Like Pylia's friend? Suspicious." Buddy seemed to have the same thoughts as you did when the girl introduced herself. As you were waiting a few people passed by, some commenting on you and Buddy's strange appearance. It wasn't along before a pair of guardsmen came over. Unlike the ones in the market, these men had much fancier armor and were bigger. "Excuse me. We've received reports of some sort of accident happening here. Would you two have any information about what happened?" Buddy looked at the guards but you could see that he was glancing at you to answer, for obvious reasons.

Sylvia read Buddy's note, and she nodded in agreement while adding, "It's quite a coincidence, isn't it. I'm hoping this is just a case of the name being a popular name for girls, like 'Andrews' is for boys. Still...let's keep our eyes peeled and our guard up. Just in case,"

Sylvia was surprised to see the men who had...fancier armor and were definitely bigger than any of the other guards she had met. She answered the men politely, "Hello, Sir. We saw the accident happen, but I'm afraid we don't have very much information. The cart went careening past us, and crashed here,"

She then nodded to the items they helped gather together, and she continued to explain, "We stopped to help the owner of the cart gather her things. They were in the cart. She said they were her research and she seemed very distressed over the accident. After we helped her, she left to go get a wagon so she can carry all of her stuff. We're waiting for her to come back, Sir,"

She might not know who these knights are, but they seemed important. Plus, so far there didn't seem to be a reason to hide anything from these guys. So she decided being honest was the best policy here.

The guards seemed to glance at each other. "We're going to have a look around the wagon." They said as they started looking through the contents of the wagon. Notably, they took certain items out and set them aside. Small vials containing a murky white liquid and ceremonial looking daggers. Eventually one of the guardsmen goes to you. "You two may leave now. We'll watch over this cart and speak to the owner when she comes back. Stay out of trouble you two." Buddy looks over to you, his expressionless face conveying no message but you could tell thanks to your link with him that he finds this whole situation strange and uncomfortable.

Sylvia watched the guards as they looked around the wagon and she saw them take out certain items that escaped hers and Buddy's notice earlier. The ceremonial daggers were the most recognizable. Her eyes widened at the sight of them, and she looked to Buddy. If Sylvia had only been slightly suspicious before, she was doubly suspicious of Seraph now.

Something wasn't right here, and the cult is involved.

When the guards spoke to her and Buddy again, she took in their demeanor and attitude. It was clear that they were professionals who knew what they were doing, and what was going on. They didn't want to involve her in this...for better or for worse.

But still...questions and caution gnawed at her. She would not be surprised if an attack took place here.

She answered the guards, "Understood, Sir,"

She nodded to Buddy as though silently telling him to follow her. She'd walk some distance away, before trying to find a place where she can hide from view and watch what would happen between the guards and Seraph.
