Manny nodded at Serena's words, noting how she seemed to be the most polite one out her, Kay and John. "you're welcome" he said to Serena before vanishing into thin air once more. Kay sighed and let what she just did properly sink in, " just actually threatened to punch an Angel... Bloody hell" she gasped before chuckling that she had the gull to actually do such a thing.

"I may not have been able to see him, but I'm impressed and I know John would be too" Chas finally spoke up, having been quiet the entire time taking an educated guess on where Manny was standing by going by the girl's direction of sight and such.

Serena nodded and moved to check John out, frowning softly. Then a shadow moved and wrapped around him loosely, doing a deeper check. Then she sighed and said “his okay now…he is warming up…he will wake up when his body is fully recovered…” she stumbled back and sighed, favoring her bad leg.

Kay and Chas both nodded at Serena's comment, trusting her wholeheartedly on his situation. Chas spotted her stumble and was quick to her aid, helping her to the wheelchair once more so he could take her back to her. "let's get you back to your room. You need your sleep as well" he suggested to her. Kay followed but only to the chair where she then gave Serena a hug, whilst still being careful not to hurt her more, "thank you" she said to her.

Serena hugged her back and said “of course…John is family now…no matter what” she smiled weakly and let Chas take her back to her room, really wanting to just lay down and rest after two different kinds of magic. She used Chas to get into bed and laid back, flinching. “We may need the nurse back…to fix my IV…I think I’m going to need those pain meds now…”

Kay nodded, glad that she wasn't the only one who considered John family now. It made her feelings toward John just that bit more valid. She walked back to John's bedside and instead of sitting on the chair next to him, she couldn't help but squeeze herself onto the edge of his bed, laying sideways next to him, wrapping her arms round his own arm and cuddled up to him. It took her a matter of minutes before she found herself falling asleep fromt he sheer exhaustion and shock that had been unnoticably creeping into her due to everything that had gone on in the day.

Chas helped Serena into the bed and then nodded at her request for getting a nurse to help with administering her some pain meds. "I'll be right back" he told her, leaving the room and going to seek out a nurse, which he found easily enough and brought one in to give Serena the pain meds she needed.

Serena sighed and rubbed her face as the nurse came in with Chas and asked “hey there…I pulled my IV by mistake…would you mind redoing it and getting it back to the regular med flow?” She sat up a little, her body screaming in pain.

The nurse smiled and nodded, "Of course, not a problem" she told her as she walked over and set up her IV drip once more and setting it to the right flow for Serena. "There, it should start kicking in shortly and next time be careful okay?" the nurse said kindly. Chas watched on, not wanting to miss a single beat due to him feeling some kind of protectiveness over Serena after everything that had happened for them all.

She smiled as the nurse left and she let her head fall back. “Dang it all…my whole body hurts…” she looked at Chas and said “relax Chas….we are in the clear now. What had you so worried”

When the nurse left Chas sat back slightly more relaxed than he was before ebur he still felt like he had to be on some kind of guard its just who he was and what he was used to when it came to John. "I'm just used to being on guard all the time when it comes to being round John and this life. I guess old habits die hard and all that" he smiled to her. "don't worry about me, you focus on you. It's no wonder everything hurts, you did take quite the hit and not really stopped since coming round" he explained to her.

Serena smiled and turned a little so she could see him better. “I was never one to sit around and just heal…I can’t sit back and watch others suffer…it’s not my nature. It’s why I was training to become a doctor…I was going to be a ER doc with a added in diagnosis studies…I wanted to be able to fix anyone…”

She flinched then closed her eyes a moment, her headache getting worse the more tired she got. “I can’t let others get hurt for this…it wouldn’t be fair…And John didn’t lose control in there. There was something in that warehouse…an aura or something…” she was getting dizzy suddenly, blinking a few times.

Chas listened to what Serena had to say, taking in everything she was saying and finding it admirable that she wanted to do such a thing in her life. It took a lot on his kind to go through all the years of training and studying to get into the medical profession, and he kinda felt the tiniest bit of sorry for her that this world put a stop to it in some ways. "don't worry about the warehouse incident now.. Now get some sleep" he told her as he saw her trying to fight getting some rest.

"we can talk in the morning" he added giving her a reassuring smile that its okay to get some rest. He was tired himself but not enough to actually sleep yet, and he also wanted to make sure she was getting some sleep first.

Serena nodded weakly and curled up a little, her eyes heavy. “Don’t tell John…how much I had to do…he will feel guilty and I don’t…want that…I want him to go back to his…normal…normal…” soon she was fast asleep, looking like a child as she laid there. She was tapped out, both physically and mentally.

Chas listened as he could tell she was getting more and more sleepy and knew any second she would fall asleep. "I won't.. Secret is safe with me" he managed to say to her just as she fell asleep. He stayed awake for a few more minutes just to make sure she was okay before he too fell asleep in the chair, his head in his hand.

Morning soon came round and he stirred awake when he heard the door to Serena's room being opened making him open his eyes and look up. He nodded his greeting to the nurse before glancing across the hallway through the window and saw how Kay had gone to sleep laying beside John, making him smile.

Serena didn’t move even when the nurse came in, stirring only when she heard voices and she opened her eyes weakly. “Chas…what…time is it…” she tried to sit up, forgetting her wounds until pain shot thru her and she gasped.

John groaned a little and turned his head, opening his eyes a little and muttered “Kay…what…happened….”

When Serena woke up and asked him what time it was, he looked down at his watch to check as he wasn't entirely sure himself. "9:30am it seems" he replied as the nurse finished up doing her checks. "the doc will be in to see if he's happy for you to be discharged or not, won't be long" she told Serena.

At the sound of John's voice Kay opened her eyes, even though she had actually half woken up a bit before. "your body temperature went down too drastically, put you into shock pretty much." she said, unsure of how much she should actually say. She also figured the use of saying he went to shock from hyperthermia would explain any possible hallucinations as she didn't want him knowing what Serena and Chas had to do. "but you're alright now. The nurses fixed you up, that's the main thing" she added to him, suddenly realising or more precisely, remembering she had cuddled into him on his bed and suddenly feeling a smidge bit awkward about it.

Serena nodded weakly and laid back down, closing her eyes. “Thank you…” then the nurse left and she looked at Chas. “Anything happen in the night? Did it calm down in the ER?”

John held his head and muttered “it was a nightmare eater…I’ve messed with them before…never felt the effects though. I’m guessing Serena and Chas found it before it could eat my mind? Do we know where it was? I might need to do some clean up…”

"yeah it calmed right down." Chas replied to her honestly. There were times when he woke up during the night just to make sure the sigil was working fine for Serena and everything was good which it luckily was. "nothing happened in the slightest which is good" he added.

Kay hoped that he would just believe her but it seemed he remembered more than he initially let on as he said what it was. "yeah, Serena and Chas dealt with it. It's fine now. You don't need to do anything, I promise" she told him. "I don't know where it exactly it was but both Serena and Chas assured me it was done and dealt with" she explained a bit more in depth. "you just focus on you okay?" she told him.

Serena nodded and sighed then looked over and said “looks like Kohn finally woke up. You should go check on him. I’ll be alright for a little bit. Go see your mate”

John moved a little and looked out to see Chas and called “Chas! Where did you find the eater? We need to make sure it’s victims are alright”

Chas nodded at Serena's words and got up, walked across he hallway and into John's room, "could you say that any louder for everyone to hear you?" He asked him, "kid's coma ward and the kid is fine. Well...considering" he replied to him, "Don't worry myself and Serena fully dealt with it last night. We don't always need you ya know?" he smirked at his last few words, but hoped he would believe him as it was the truth.

"I over heard some nurses last night talking and it seems the kid is coming out of their coma and making great progress so it's all going in the right direction" he added. "How are you feeling anyway? Seems you've had a good nurse in her eall night" he joked, talking about how Kay had made herself comfortable beside John in his bed.

John sighed and said “that’s what I wanted to check. Eaters go for kids and put them in comas…that ward will have a lot more wake up now it’s gone…but waters don’t just show up. They are released. Someone let that thing in here…” he coughed suddenly and held his head.

“I am fine…Kay took care of me. We need to get out of here and figure out what is going on now. Serena can’t be okay here…” they suddenly heard a crash and a scream from down the hallway. Serena was already trying to get out of bed as John sat up. “What the bloody was that?”
