It has been years, many years, since I've had to write an introduction post. I'm a little rusty but let's see how I go.

Hi, I'm Living Dead Girl and I've been roleplaying for most of my Elder Millennial life, so about twenty plus years. I was around when we used to do it using Messenger Groups and online chatroom such as Oasiz. Yes, I'm that old. I also still remember AOL, feel free to pick your jaws up off the floor. My comfort level lies with forum based PBP RP as well as live chatroom, I've only just recently gotten into tabletop roleplay thanks to my partner. I'm a complete newb to the world of DnD but I'm finding it's scratching an itch I've been ignoring for many years.

In the last few months I've found that I've been missing the interaction and excitement of PBP RP and decided it was time to get back into. It's been well over eight years since I've done it so be gentle with me. I'm an author in my RL and want to give my writing skills a little refresher course as I'm falling into a rut. I also craft in several different directions, from bookbinding to candle making and everything in between. If it's a fiber art you'll find me doing it. But my passion is writing and creating in depth and expansive worlds. I mostly write in the Romance genre, but I delve into all sub-genres within it from paranormal to sci-fi and I'm even dabbling in fantasy at the moment.

Back to why I'm here. I think I sit right in the middle when it comes to the types of roleplay I enjoy. I prefer group settings as I find it the most immersive and storylines tend to grow organically that way which, in my humble opinion, are the most interesting. Like a book that is being written live. I like chunky storylines with intriguing and fully fleshed characters and plot lines. The world doesn't have to be completely developed as most of the best RP's have just kind of sprung up from interactions between characters instead of playing to a pre set script. But I also don't mind working with a structure, one that is flexible to change though.

Other than personal details about myself, which I'll be keeping close to the vest, I think that about sums who I am. I'm a weird mix of goth, steampunk and a little sprinkling of time traveller for added spice. Only thing constant about me is I love all things dark, mysterious and slightly out there.

Toodaloo for now,
Your Living Dead Girl.

The fact that you used Newb attests to your generation. I haven't seen that in a couple of decades myself.

Also... Ah, RDI and the Forest. Takes me back.

Welcome to the Guild.

Welcome, fellow geriatric millennial! If you're old enough to remember AOL, you're my people! I'm trying to think of a third overenthusiastic sentence to conclude with an exclamation point, but I'm having no luck. Anyways, I'm a big fan of that introductory post of yours and most of the genres and subgenres you rattled off. I think you'll find some quality stuff here and I agree that group RPGs are the most fulfilling. I hope that we can catch each other around and, given how many of our interests seem to align, I think it's likely that we will. On that subject, allow me to shill my fantasy world, The Hourglass Order, for a moment. I'll see myself out now. Happy roleplaying and stay awesome!

Welcome. I happen to have entered just as the website's chatbox got canceled. It was a lovely thing, every person had their own color of a name. I wanted a good color, so, I transferred myself between names to find my charisma good enough to be a universal adventurer, whether for dinosaur hunting to the beats of music coming from an auxiliary speaker (I needed armor) or hunting wizards with just a scythe as an animal mercenary (and turn it into a kingdom). I got in trouble for making the names, and got banned profusely. In the end I decided to contact the moderators, as it was my only time I did, and pulled it together, meaning well.

I'd like to be in roleplays, I definitely commando action and adventures, but I've been in a rut myself. So, like you, I intend to move forward with processions I've created. Steadily I'm gaining on myself.
