Welcome to Dominion!
There might be a mess of information below though you can check out The Quick Guide of Dominion to access information easier. This guide is currently in construction and might possibly be forever!

Hmm given today is a holiday, I'll probably have my sheet done by the end of the week :)

Name: Kara Voss
Age: 25
Physical Description & Reference: Kara stands at 5'5 and weighs approximately 130 lbs. Her naturally blonde hair falls down to her lower back, opting to more often than not leaving it loose. She has hazel eyes that every so often lighten for a small period of time, though it isn't noticeable unless one is staring directly at them. She has a slightly toned figure from the few years of training she's had. Other than that, there are no distinguishable marks or features.
Status: Research Assistant. After filling out multiple NDAs and additional paperwork, amongst other requirements, Kara was hired as a research assistant for a scientist from the Council. She's employed within the biology department but was advised that the less she knows, the better. Prior to her start, Kara was made aware that there is a senior research assistant she directly reports to, and has only met their actual researcher once before. It's been about 6 months she's been in her current position.
Backstory: Born and raised in Qona, Kara was the Voss' family first child. Her father, a healthcare provider, worked long hours to keep the family well and fed. They lived comfortably because of his efforts, and a decade later, Kara's brother was born. Everything was fine up until the time Kara turned 12. Her father's health took a dive, leaving him bedridden for some months before his untimely passing. This shook the family, who now had to find a way to make ends meet.
Despite the rough start into her adolescent years, Kara took it upon herself to find work that earned some income and didn't interfere too much with her schooling. The days were long and she was tired, but it did help the family as they managed to stay afloat. With that said, the busy schedule took a toll on her social life as Kara didn't have the time to just be the every day kid with friends and a hobby. However, once she finished school, she was able to plan out her life a little better.
Deciding to stay close to the line of work her father was involved in, she went on to pursue her specialty while simultaneously caring for her own body as well. Initially, it was the basic exercises, but given the stories she'd heard, Kara wanted to be prepared. For about a year and a half, she also focused on self-defense, that which inspired her brother to plan out a similar path for himself.
Kara recently moved out of the family's downgraded home and is living on her own.

Age: 20
Physical Description: Selene has a dark brown complexion and heterochromatic eyesโone piercing silver, the other deep amber. Her dark hair is streaked with purple highlights, framing her face in slightly wavy layers. She has an athletic build, honed from years of thrill-seeking and high-risk activities, and her urban punk style is fully immersive in Dominionโs underground world, built from salvaged materials, repurposed industrial fabrics, and custom modifications.
สัษ Her jacket is reinforced with stitched plating or scavenged synthetic materials, giving it
both durability and a rugged look.
สัษ Her boots are durable and worn, built for survival but altered for style.
สัษ Her accessories are handmade from metal scraps, industrial chains, and utility belts
repurposed as fashion.
สัษ Her piercings and tattoos were likely done in the Grey Market, using tools meant for medical
modifications rather than aesthetics.
สัษ Her clothing materials are functional over decorative, layered with stitched reinforcements
and textured fabrics suited for Dominionโs underground world.
Enhancements:
Augmented Reflexes โ Seleneโs body is modified for heightened agility and reaction time, making her a natural at parkour, quick escapes, and high-speed movement. Her enhancements allow her to navigate Dominionโs vertical landscapes with ease, effortlessly scaling walls, leaping across hazardous gaps, and reacting in high-pressure situations. However, these enhancements are not infallibleโoveruse can lead to neural fatigue, occasional misfires in response time, or even brief moments of sensory overload. While she thrives in motion, she must be careful not to push her limits too far, as prolonged strain can leave her momentarily vulnerable.
Status:
Daughter of the Syn Family โ The Syn family is one of the most powerful dynasties within the Crystalline Council, controlling vast sectors of Dominionโs commerce, trade regulations, and technological oversight. Their influence isnโt just about wealthโitโs about policy control, resource allocation, and maintaining the status quo in their favor. While they present themselves as public servants ensuring stability, their true power lies in the unspoken rules of Dominionโs eliteโthe kind where reputations are currency and dissent is quietly erased. However, Seleneโs defiance disrupts their carefully maintained public image. Her ties to the Grey Market and Dominionโs outcasts arenโt just a personal rebellion; theyโre a threat to the familyโs standing within the Council. The Syns donโt deal with scandalsโthey erase them. If she steps too far out of line, she wonโt just be disownedโsheโll be corrected.
Shadow of the Underground โ Though her last name still carries weight, Selene has carved out an identity separate from her familyโs rigid expectations. In Khiaโs Grey Market, she operates on the fringes, making connections with smugglers, information brokers, and disenfranchised rebels. She trades in rare goods, modified tech, and valuable intel, using her keen instincts and agility to navigate the treacherous underworld. However, her presence in these circles is both a blessing and a curseโwhile she earns respect among outcasts, she constantly treads a fine line, as her family's reach extends deeper than sheโd like to admit. If the Syns ever decided to pull her back, few places would truly be safe.
Backstory: Born into privilege, Selene was raised in a world of wealth, high expectations, and ruthless pragmatism. From a young age, she was molded into the perfect successorโa poised, intelligent figure meant to uphold the Syn family's dominance over Dominionโs commerce, law, and technological regulations. Every aspect of her upbringing was carefully managedโshe was taught by private tutors specializing in negotiation, political maneuvering, and corporate strategy, and she was expected to form alliances with only the most advantageous connections.
Yet, the weight of being a Syn was suffocating. She was never truly given a choiceโonly the illusion of one. As she grew older, she found herself drawn to the messiness of Dominionโs underbelly, where people lived by their own rules instead of dictated social order. Her acts of rebellionโsmall at firstโbecame more frequent: sneaking out, ditching formal events, and secretly engaging with the Grey Marketโs underground culture. But one particular act of defiance changed everything. She uncovered a family secret, something buried deep within the Syn archivesโone that shattered any lingering obligation she had to them.
Whatever she discovered was enough to make her walk away.
She wasnโt outright disownedโthat would have been too public, too scandalousโbut she was quietly exiled, kept at armโs length. Her once-limitless access to resources was reduced to nothing but a leash; her movements monitored, her contacts scrutinized. The Syn name became a chain, binding her to a family she could never fully escape, no matter how far she ran.
Yet, she refuses to be dragged back. In the underground, she has built a new lifeโone where she isnโt just a Syn heiress, but someone making her own name. But even as she tries to carve her own path, the past remains. The Syn family doesnโt let go of its own so easily, and she knows, deep down, that one day theyโll come calling.
Notable Features:
Hidden but Growing Tattoos โ Selene refers to her tattoos as Suralites, inspired by the bioluminescent Noctilites (moths) of Dominion. However, she takes artistic liberty with their design, making them resemble what she believes to be an entirely original creature. She envisions them as symbols of freedom, believing they embody an untamed beauty unlike anything else underground. Unbeknownst to her, they bear a striking resemblance to butterflies, an extinct species lost to time. The name comes from Sura (surface) and lites (light), symbolizing something beyond the underground world she knows. As time passes, her tattoos multiply, each new addition marking a choice, a rebellion, or a moment she refuses to forget.
Signature Habit โ Always has a lighter on her, flicking it absentmindedly in moments of thought or tension.
Personality: Selene carries an air of apathy, playing the part of someone who doesnโt care about anythingโbut underneath her detached front, she is restless, searching for something she canโt quite name. Sheโs sharp-tongued, fiercely independent, and allergic to authority, but sheโs not reckless without reason. Her defiance is as much about control as it is about rebellion. When backed into a corner, she fights with wit, speed, and a grin that dares the world to push her further.
Connections & Motivations:
Seeks genuine freedomโnot just from her familyโs expectations, but from the systems that keep everyone in place.
Uncertain about her place in Dominionโis she running from her past, or toward something new?
Has begun to question the cracks in the cityโs foundation, though sheโs not yet sure if she cares enough to do something about it.
For now, sheโs just looking for the next thrillโฆ or the next escape.
sorry for the delay, I lost the character sheet I was working on.
No, the worse part is a windows update has taken Wordpad from me - which is what I use for most of my sheets.
At least I still have the important details.

I used wordpad for 90% of my writing shenanigans too. The update took everything, sadly, so I understand the pain. Wordpad was so good. I don't understand why they got rid of it.

latest windows plan offers a free (limited) version of word, so they removed it. I'm trying to reinstall Wordpad from another system.

I tried looking for out of pocket resources to redownload wordpad though I couldn't find anything in my quick 30-minute search. I might look more in depth later. It's cool that they offer a free limited version of word once again but I appreciate wordpad more.
